Yu-Gi-Oh! Hearts of Darkness *Reboot* [OOC/PG-13/Started/Not Accepting]

Recommended Posts

Now now Children... Settle down! Not everyone here is going to notice EVERY detail about every character. I'm sure we've all skipped over some thing from time to time.

EDIT:

As for the Language.. I would like it if it was toned down a bit as well. ESPECIALLY VULGAR NAME CALLING! (not that I've seen anyone do that yet, just saying. I'm pretty sure that's a common rule for the entire forum.)

ALSO before I forget, I will start the tournament at approx. 11pm tonight after I get off of work this evening. Until then, take this time to establish any groups if you'd like.

EDIT (2):

The tournament has officially begun! Duel away folks!

I still find it a problem that we can get kicked out for one loss, no one is going to want to duel someone until they've faced an NPC first, cause I don't think anyone wants to get kicked out of the tournament since that would ruin their story....from what I see, Merciful wants to duel amber, if he does and wins then her whole story is done, if Evil Fusion has III defeated, there goes a villain character, If Stalfos has Aivea lose then there goes any plot she had, this is quite the conundrum, to make NPC's or just let myself lose for someone else's storyline.....Eucliwood would quit if I lost.....this just makes things more difficult. I would duel anyone, but not at the risk of killing a person's story.... considering how bad it would be to lose to the guy that has no involvement in the story.....TT-TT.

Alright. So maybe we should have them duel random NPCs. Maybe random NPCs with Numbers too, but I doubt that for Rai. I don't have much of a plan for him if he succeeds in taking his opponents' Number. Would that turn him into a Number Hunter? I have no idea.

Actually, III losing would not make a negative difference in the slightest. Firstly, in the anime, his family had more than the needed share of Heart Pieces for them ALL to go to the finals (although due to his duel with Yuma, only IV, V, and Tron actually went), even though V and Tron didnt actually do anything in terms of participating in the tournament preliminaries. Also, his crest protects his Numbers from Number hunters (as he and IV demonstrated after losing to Kaito and Yuma).

So if he did lose, his Numbers would be safe, and his Heart Piece is irrelevent because they're sure to get/have more to spare.

NPCs is the best fallback in terms of giving characters a Piece to lose when they duel other RPers.

And stalled me and joseph from moving so I'm sort of put off on the fact of forming a team with your character unless You give is permission to Powerplay your character when your not there so were not stuck we can just bring you along aswell.

I know.
Also, Atsuko is now using Magnets.
Like these:

Magnet Knight Eta
EARTH/Rock/Level 4/1400 ATK/1700 DEF
When this monster is Special Summoned: Pay 1000 Life Points and target 1 Level 4 or lower "Magnet" monster in your Graveyard, except a "Magnet Knight Eta"; Special Summon the target. This card cannot be used as an Xyz Material, except for the Xyz Summon of an EARTH Rock-Type Xyz Monster.

Magnet Wizard Heta
EARTH/Rock/Level 4/1700 ATK/1600 DEF
When this monster is Special Summoned: Pay 1000 Life Points; Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Magnet" monster (from your hand), except a "Magnet Wizard Heta". This card cannot be used as an Xyz Material, except for the Xyz Summon of an EARTH Rock-Type Xyz Monster.

Magnet Thief Theta
EARTH/Rock/Level 4/1500 ATK/1800 DEF
When this monster is Special Summoned: Pay 1000 Life Points; Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Magnet" monster from your Deck, except a "Magnet Thief Theta". This card cannot be used as an Xyz Material, except for the Xyz Summon of an EARTH Rock-Type Xyz Monster.

Omega Valkyrion the Super-Electromagnetic Warrior
EARTH/Rock/Xyz/Rank 4/3500 ATK/3850 DEF
3 Level 4 EARTH Rock-Type monsters
Must be Xyz Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by any other ways. When this card is Xyz Summoned using "Magnet Knight Eta" as Xyz Material: If this card attacks or is attacked, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step. When this card is Xyz Summoned using "Magnet Wizard Heta" as Xyz Material: When this monster battles: Detach 3 Xyz Materials from this card; Increase the ATK of this monster by the ATK of the opposing monster during the Damage Step only. When this card is Xyz Summoned using "Magnet Thief Theta" as Xyz Material: This monster cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects. During the End Phase of the turn this card was Xyz Summoned; Return this card to your Extra Deck, and if there were any "Magnet" Xyz Material(s) attached to this card, Special Summon those monster(s) onto your side of the field.

I like them, they leave you with a near invincible monster for one turn, the way all the monsters can summon each other is helpful, but not so helpful that you can summon him so easily in one turn, when they break off at the end of the turn is nostalgic to the original Valkyrion, but at the same time is good enough to be used for other Exceed or maybe even a second/third copy of your Valkyrion, as long as your monster's remain protected, I actually thought of what I could do to beat it with my Dragon deck...all I can say is that I better have more then 3500 life points

No sweat, I had work up until 11 pmish yesterday.

EDIT: I also see everyone is starting right away with their NPC battles. I'm thinking now that it might be best if we do one of the following.
1) Establish who will control the NPC for that duel. (via PMing that person or this thread)
2) Control the NPC you're battling yourself.

I say this because I will not be able to keep up with ALL the different decks and what-have-you for every battle that's going on at the same time.

Okay, so lemi explain a simple aspect of RPs When something hapens around You, It helps you and the person your reacting to when you reconise it. Say me for example. I basicaly showed off my numbers at the front gates, yet people are passing by as if its nothing when the main focus of this tourny is to find others with numbers.

I'm confused. Do we control the NPCs we duel, or do other people do?

Also, Greg will be using Fish and Fiend-type Xyz monsters.

2 Level 4 monsters
When this card is Summoned: You can choose either Fish or Fiend-type: This card is treated as the selected Type until it is removed from the field.
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Then, depending on this card's Type, activate one of these effects:
● Fish-type: Discard 1 Level 4 or higher monster; Add 1 Level 4 or below monster from your Graveyard to your hand.
● Fiend-type: Inflict 200 damage to your opponent for each card they control.
Given that the NPCs are mostly here as tools to gain more Heart Pieces, I'd say that we, the players, control them. Have to get a final verdict on that from the host though.

Seems legit. The host and I control each other's NPCs.
