Well, layered lighting can make a huge difference in whether or not a tag looks flat or not.
Try adding lighting on multiple different layers in between the C4ds, etc. A trick a learned a while back
is to add a little bit of black around the border, set to multiply, on around 30-75% opacity on the top.
Also, Curves and Levels can really help too.

Well well. I might have to check up on this stuff more regularly. You're getting to a decent point away from slapped on C4D's. Still, as previously mentioned it is just a wee bit flat. If I still remembered all I knew about Photoshop in the olden days I could remind you of this old little tip for depth, which I sadly can't remember at the moment. I'm gonna check up on it and get back to you.
