Icy
I was originally hesitant to even post this outside of a private conversation with a particular friend. But seeing as I'm peaking my ugly head around here, I figure I give you all something to look at how I do things just so I don't look like I'm talking out my dark eye. Between College Classes, dealing with the original image, trying to mimic the Text Style of Dark Souls, color restoring, and all those sorts of manipulations this piece took the better part of 6 hours off and on just to get right and there's still so many things I could do to fix it. But in the end, it appeared to come out alright without any sharpening or depth tweaks required. Unfortunately, I'm not giving the PSD to this one away.
Night
Original? I always have a hard time accurately depicting exactly what you did because you art "style" is far from anything that's done in the average gfx community. The thing I can comment on is that the "o" is not easily picked up by the eye. I first thought it said "Art Rias", that's something you should provide a bit of clarity on. What I can say is that the piece looks crisp and natural, something that 2 layers of blur/sharpening won't give you. Again, can't really give an accurate critique, but It always brings me joy seeing you active in the community. I just wish you'd post more. A few layers of masking so I get the targets out of the way. Collective Burning, Dodging, Color Replacements, Sponging, texts, fixing up, etc... I prefer to really do restorations and then manipulating to the need that I require.
