Damnit guys. The most layers I've done in the past two years is like 11.

^Layer count: 86 layers
Time consumed: 4 hours
Song played: Deadmau5 - Raise Your Weapon, on an endless loop. (4 hours)
Snack of choice: Pretzels, and 'lots of them.

Seeing everyone improve seemingly overnight I was inspired to challenge myself.
This is the longest I've worked on a piece to date, but I'm extremely satisfied with the result.
Cnc is greatly appreciated.

It's nice, definitely see that potential vector/vexel master in you. The only thing is the smoothness and blending need to be worked on. Other than that, definitely got something good going on. I'd start stepping out into some more wild concepts if I were you. :P

Oh god, did you really listen to a WHOLE Deadmau5 song? You are a martyr for humanity.

Also, this is some great LP. I love the water and sand blending, and the lightning with the sun going trough the rocks. The only thing that disturbs me is that the rocks, the vectoring is all choppy in some parts. Still, you are a god for doing this, excellent job!

Choppyness is one of your biggest problems with vectoring. I noticed it from some of your others.
I love the depth you got with the water.
Did you blur the edges on some? It doesn't really work for this piece.

What can I say, GIMP doesn't produce the best pentooled shapes.
Thanks for the cnc.

Thanks, that means a lot bro. When, and if I ever switch over to PS that should produce better results, i hope.
And yeah I definitely want to keep challenging myself.

Can't say I'm not impressed at all.

Thanks, It truly means a lot.

Not only did I listen to the entire song, but I listened to it about 8(length of the song)/240(4 hours)= A whopping 30 times!

That's awesome. Some random blurry parts are really bothering me though.

Might add a second version without the blur on the edges, I only did it for depth. But I see how it could be a nuisance.
Thanks anyway, we should merge our styles, my vectoring and your dp skills = hot stuff.

Sexy, sexy stuff.

I adore this style to the ends of the earth. I'd say chill on the blurring a little, but otherwise I like it a lot.

Quite like the overly sharp edges in this actually. Suits it.

Thanks Rai. I adore it just as much, it's only a shame it takes far too much patience and consumes so much of my time.
Regardless I'll continue to shape this style and attempt to perfect it, thanks for your input, it's always appreciated.

Really liking the lighting coming from the sun, and pretty much the whole bottom half. The major thing, that has been mentioned is the blurring, which you seem to do frequently in a lot of your pieces.

But holy s*** 86 layers? I had to push myself to do a 50+ once. But that's besides the point. The time you spend on a piece is obviously key, and it's very evident in this piece.
