zigfried
Personally, I feel Yugi-Oh! gaming is moving away from 'good' cards and making useless, situational, impotent cards. For example, the ban list is way too restrictive. That is why I believe in making cards that really add a kick to a duel. I don't feel the Archfiend cards truly incarnate the feeling of a chess match. For that reason, I decided to go about making a Chess series... furthermore, one that does not add lame titles to the cards (like Infernal/Desrook/etc. blah blah blah). A main focus in this deck is to have different "pieces" work with each other... possibly even overly reliant upon each other. --Monsters-- KingLight / Fiend / 9 / 3000 / 3000This monster can only be special summoned by the effect of "Queen". Once per turn, when this monster destroys a monster as a result of battle, it must conduct another battle. When this card is removed from the field, destroy all cards on the field and inflict damage to your opponent and yourself equal to the total sum of all the cards' Levels x 200. When this monster is removed from the field, Spell and Trap cards cannot be activated until your next Standby-Phase. QueenDark / Fairy / 7 / 2500 / 2500When you set this card, you may set it in face-up defense position. Half this monster's ATK and DEF if there are no other monsters on the field by the name of "King", "Queen", "Bishop", "Knight", "Rook", or "Pawn". When this card is used as a tribute for a summon, you may special summon one "King" from your graveyard to the field. When this card is destroyed by a card effect, you may special summon one "King" from your deck. When this card is destroyed as a result of battle, you may special summon one "King" from your hand. Increase the ATK of all monsters by the name of "King" on the field by 200 Points for each "King", "Queen", "Bishop", "Knight", "Rook", and/or "Pawn" on the field. This monster cannot be the target of an attack while a "King" exists on the field. BishopWater / Spellcaster / 4 / 2000 / 2000When you set this card, you may set it in face-up defense position. Half this monster's ATK and DEF if there are no other monsters on the field by the name of "King", "Queen", "Bishop", "Knight", "Rook", or "Pawn". While this card is face-up, when you draw a card, you may show it to your opponent. If the shown card is a monster by the name of "Queen", "Bishop", "Knight", "Rook", or "Pawn" you may special summon it to the field and draw another card; you must then immediately enter your Main Phase 2. KnightWind / Beast-Warrior / 3 / 1500 / 1500When you set this card, you may set it in face-up defense position. Half this monster's ATK and DEF if there are no other monsters on the field by the name of "King", "Queen", "Bishop", "Knight", "Rook", or "Pawn". While this card is face-up, when you draw a card, you may show it to your opponent. If the shown card is a Spell card, you may draw another card, and then place 1 Spell Counter onto this card. Destroy this card when there are 3 Spell Counters on this card. RookFire / Rock / 2 / 1000 / 1000When you set this card, you may set it in face-up defense position. Half this monster's ATK and DEF if there are no other monsters on the field by the name of "King", "Queen", "Bishop", "Knight", "Rook", or "Pawn". While this card is face-up, when you draw a card, you may show it to your opponent. If the shown card is a Trap card, you may draw another card, and then place 1 Spell Counter onto this card. Destroy this card when there are 2 Spell Counters on this card. PawnEarth / Warrior / 1 / 500 / 500When you set this card, you may set it in face-up defense position. Half this monster's ATK and DEF if there are no other monsters on the field by the name of "King", "Queen", "Bishop", "Knight", "Rook", or "Pawn". Place 1 counter on this card each time you draw a card from your deck. You may tribute this card to Special Summon 1 monster from your graveyard with a Level equal or lower than the number of counters on this card. --Spells-- CheckQuick-Play SpellSend one King from the field to the graveyard. The damage inflicted by the monster's effect is not delt to you. After "King"'s effect resolves, you may special summon one Rook to your side of the field from your hand, deck, or graveyard. Morphing TokenContinuous SpellOnce per turn, by paying a number of Life Points equal to the selected monster's Level x 500, you may special summon one token on the field with the same Name, Level, Attribute, Type, ATK, and DEF as the selected monster. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Pretty nice cards, but the names are generic. Try and come up with some different ones.. And make the card effects smaller ^^;; Link to comment
