That much I wanted.

 

that would make him a bit broken, I mean, there are many easy ways of getting spell-counters with all of the search and draw stuff.

 

plus then he would always be chosen as the your magician's circle summon, since he breaks the 2000 ATK limit without help.

 

I think he is fine as is.

 

Magical Marionette says otherwise.

 

I know about magical Marionette, he is one of my fav. cards.

but he does not get spell counters when he is summoned, only when spells are played, and the change you wanted to make to dark red would make red broken in the sp. summon area, and my circle example is a proof of that. he would go up to 2300 ATK as soon as he was summoned for any reason. that would make him broken. to make it only when he is normal summoned means that you get a small refund for doing it that way.

 

it also makes him part of the monarch group where the tribute summon for him gives a 0 advantage outcome on the number of cards in play+ in hand, which is a trait that all monarchs, save one, share.

 

but unlike monarchs, he can be recharged, and reused, if he lasts long enough.

 

I would have to say that makes a bit better than the monarchs, in terms of theme, however the targeting options leave him lacking in field effect.

 

so, in golf terms, he is par for the course in my book.

do you think they are going to keep those for the english version? :)

I not holding by breath for SD priest and seer, but the others might still be in there.
