Cin
To be honest I can't say much on these, since the edits cover up what looks like bad rendering. And appart from a shadow and neonising (or w/e it is) what have you done?
Envoy of Twilight
Well, to be completely honest, nothing else. When I rendered them, I was like "oh cool, I rendered some stuff." These are my first renders, so, for me it was an accomplishment. However, I wanted to show off my new "skill" but I found plain renders to be boring. So I jazzed it up a bit. I added some neon to them in Photoshop Elements, edited their dark/light curves in GIMP and also gave them the shadow in GIMP. My apologies if they look terrible. Night
Render -> Incorporate it into a piece. Adding a neon filter and a layer with a Gaussian blurred shadow isn't the way to express skill.
Envoy of Twilight
Well, a normal render has been added.
Lucas the Flame
Like the second normal render but not the first one. (It's poorly done and it looks rushed)
Durandamon
They look fine. Yami is too choppy and blurred. The other ones, like 'Nw said, aren't too special. The one I DO like the Ravange one. Is it ok if I use it for something?
Envoy of Twilight
Yeah man, go ahead. Two renders added.
Night
http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv278/RexraptorSparkman/RavangeRender.png 'Not bad. There is skill in making clean cut renders, remember that. Other than the one above, the quality isn't great. Try rendering full-bodied renders like the one above. Would love to see more, and to see you improve.
Cin
The second render is your best. You need to work on smoothing out your outlines, what program do you use to render?
Envoy of Twilight
I use Photoshop Elements 8.0 I promise I'll try to improve!
Cin
What will really help is, if you make a new layer (drag it under the render) and fill it with black. That will show up any parts of background you missed.

[/quote] Pardon my inquiry, but wouldn't filling the image with a color and then using the divide layer type, allow you to see far more missed detail? I don't render like you at all, but when I mask out details this absolutely helps me.
Cin
Which ever works best really for Brandon. I was told my method by a friend along time ago, so that's what I suggest.
Envoy of Twilight
Hm..both ideas seem like I would benefit from them, haha. I'll try that. Thank you.
Night
The color used as a BG should be a color that is not on the render its self. For example if there is no bright green on what you want rendered, it would be wise to use that as the back drop.
Envoy of Twilight
New render added. I used a black background to get out a lot of the detail.
Lucas the Flame
It looks a little fussy, but other than that, it's fine. Good job.

Cin
You need to to use alot better quality images, because blue is hard even with the best quality screenshot.
