Guest Yugioh Ninja Master
I read the Seismitoad was in the NU (NeverUsed) tier, and I'm pretty sure that tier is not allowed in tournaments (Not bring LC stuff, I mean proper ones were generally, OU Pokemon are used). I can't find other evidence of it being NU so I was wondering if any of you guys knew whether or not it was NU or just something like UU. ~ Thanks, Yugioh Ninja Master P.S. I was going to add what I read about it supposedly being NU but I can't find it. Sorry! Come on people!

Guest Pokémon Master
Smogon states it is NU. Can it be used in tournaments?
Tentacruel
Depends on the tourney. Personally, Smogon can kiss my ass, I prefer vanilla Pokemon where anything goes. (Within reason.)
Wave_Sine
NU means that people (i.e. Smogon and their userbase) don't use it, either because some other Pokémon can "do its job better" or because of low base stats. I don't believe that any Pokémon that is not in Uber tier is banned in an OU thing, though people may question why you'd use it. I wouldn't understand why any NU Pokémon would be banned in an OU tournament, because it's generally accepted that OU Pokémon will be more powerful than NU ones. If this tourney is going by Smogon OU tier, this lists the current OU bans. Seismitoad is not part of them.
Hydra of Ages
Tier-specific tournies only disinclude pokemon above the specified tier, never below. Therefore you can only use NU in NU tournaments, UU and NU in UU tournaments, so on and so forth.
Guest Pokémon Master
I'm a bit new to the competitive battling thing, I just want to know, would it be allowed in the most common tourny type?
Flame Dragon
I'm a bit new to the competitive battling thing, I just want to know, would it be allowed in the most common tourny type?Since most tournies are based in OU yes, you can use all pokemon but ubers in that tier. However, it REALLY isn't a smart move since both Swampert and Gastrodon are better. If you want to continue this, please use the general pokemon thread I just bumped back up.
