The UNSC was Formerly established as a space force for the United Nations in the 2160's. UNSC stands for

"United National Space Command"

The UNSC has evolved into encompass Branches (Navy, Marine Corps, Army, Air Force, and Militia and Intelligence)

Later in Halo just before 2520, The Militia and Intelligence, become property of

Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI).

The UNSC Military Forces have suffered incredible losses at the hands of the Covenant's precise and lethal powers. Fairing best on ground, but hopelessly outnumbered and out gunned in orbit. None the less the UNSC has proven themselves to be quite a threat to the covenant. The covenant was surprised on how such small forces the UNSC used to conquer bases and tactical regions. The Humans alone had suppior advantages. The UNSC though out numbered had all the advantages. These advantages included set plans, protocol (Witch the covenant did not have), A high intelligence research facilities known to be runned by ONI. The UNSC also even had advantages on the weaponry. The Covenant had Focus Rifles as their snipers, they did not know of precision weapons like the Sniper until the covenant researched the Humans weapons. Some of The researched weapons include:

• Gernade Launcher
  

The UNSC had also created some of it's Weapons from the Covenant, These weapons are here:

• Needler (Witch in fact was the only one unable to develop)
  
• Plasma Rile
  
• Energy Sword (Witch developed a recreated version that we know as the katana witch is usually used by Hybussa)
  

Though many of the Developments in Weapontry and vehicles come from each other they we're able to used them against each other. This gave the covenant one advantage they did have, they already had a populous army, but they then had advanced weapontry and vehicles, though many of the covenant vehicles was inspired UNSC vehicles. The Brute armory comes in another Hand.

 

The UNSC was quite ambishious with the covenant, to believe it or not ONI and the covenant we're in a semi-alliance, that broke up the every first day. The covenant demanded the Humans to become their slaves or some what some thing else. ONI denied this. The alliance broke up by the UNSC saying all attacks result in immediate destruction. The Covenant took it the wrong way thinking they wanted War. Though in the first place the covenant planned all along to gain their trust and suspend them. The UNSC tried to fix the problem, wtich in turn receated the Human survery of the Winter Contengency.

 

The UNSC had to be on the most outer planet, that they we're not having their fleets come completely MIA (Missing In Action). This planet was known as Harvest. During Harvest time it was up to the UNSC to send transport UNSC Fleets to collect farmers supplies. One day The UNSC had landed on the planet. They began doing what they usually did, while a UNSC supply ship was air born in space. The covenant has sent a small troop pods to attack the supply ship. They we're not scouted because Jackals where the enemy, they're cold Blooded. Harvest was the first planet attacked by the covenant but the UNSC did not called this the Winter Contengency. Instead they called it Contact Harvest, Witch is also the name of the Novel about Halo, Contact Harvest. Sergeant Johnson was the main character on Harvest according to the Novel.

 

Harvest still failed to keep control. The UNSC began to see the out come. Reach had spotted covenant the next following month. Reach continued from 2520 to 2530. Noble team had successfully stop the covenant from retrieving Cortana. It was always confusing to the UNSC why the Covenant didn't attack with all their forces in the first place, they believed and according to ONI they had forces some how out their holding them off.

 

There was a massive amount of the UNSC Fleets that went missing just before Contact Harvest. ONI had records of some spartans and large amounts of the UNSC forces MIA. Some of these soldiers are record here:

The Pillar of Autumn Had escaped barely to Halo, the covenant was already awaiting for them, The covenant did not know of the Halo ring until the began to attack the Pillar Of Autumn. The covenant was on Halo first. On of the 4 spartans to know to have a record of most deadly took action. This spartans was John, 117 Master Chief.

 

Other spartans with the record was, Noble Six, Spartan 1337, and Onix team leader.

The Master chief single handedly destroyed Halo after coretana's attempted to explode the Pillar of Autumns engines. 343 Guilty spark had stopped the proccess. This left the Chief on his own. The chief manually destoryed the engines. Forced to race through the exploding ship to a LongSword. Only him and Coretana escaped. The Chief continued his awsomeness agains the flood that was released on Halo, but some how made it to High Charity. The Flood spread quickly, Brutes where first introduced in Halo 2. The Covenant had betrayed the Elite, they're replaced by the brutes after the death of the Profit of Regret. The UNSC had formed an alliance with the elites that formed a bond between each other. They had became ally's for life. With the elites and the UNSC working together they pushed the covenant back long enough. The covenant had found Earth.Earth's Orbital Defense Stations failed to keep the covenant back, but they we're able to get the covenant to retreat. The covenant did not know the Humans home planet was earth until they found it. The covenant returned with the Profit of Truth. The Chief had gotten on the Profits ship as it landed on earth keeping the UNSC from taking it out. Over again, Reach was happening all over Earth!

 

The First attack was in the City "New Mombasa", witch had a Forerunner Relicunderneith it. A group of ODST (Orbital Shock drop troopers) took action. The Navy had failed, now it was ONI's trun. The ODST had failed but succeeded in retreaving covenant engineer that supported the UNSC who was later interigated by Sergeant Johnson andDare. Witch is viewable in the Legendary Ending of Halo 3 ODST, witch some say you can see Buck playing with a monky. The Flood had found it's way through the battle and evolved into some thing more, it prooved them to be serious even more than before. This ended up leading the UNSC to it's final stand on Earth against the Flood while the Elites and a single UNSC cruiser known as "The Hammer of Dawn" Captain, Jacob Keysdaughter was the one to run the ship, the had intered the forerunner relic.

 

They found them selves inside the universe or planet. It was really unknown. The chief and the Arbiter allied up and chased down the Profit of Truth. The Arbiter killed the Profit. The Flood had sided with the UNSC at that moment to stop truth. The Flood knew only the Humans could stop the Halo Rings. Truth had accually activated the count down sequence when the Chief has arrived. When the Chief and the Arbiter succeed the flood returned to attacking the Humans and other Life. The Flood was to powerful to be stoped by shooting them down.

 

At this time Earth was half covered in Flood. The Arbiter and the Chief quickly activated the Earth's ring and destroyed it in the process. This time is was different, the Humans survived because they we're inside the Ark when it Fired. Killing only the Grave Mind leaving the Flood to weather away. Most of the Covenant was gone. The elites and the UNSC had Vectored. The Chief on the other hand was left inside the Ark. the Arbiter came out alone with half of the UNSC ship that was the Hammer Of Dawn. The Chief froze himself in the Cyro Room and let Cortana keep the back half of the ship running. soon the Chief came upon the forerunner place unknown and that becomes the beginning of Halo 4
