Darwinos and the level 6 are horribly inconsistent.

Evol engine is:

3 Westlo
3 Najasho
0-1 Casinerio

3 Cerato
2-3 Vulcano
2 Diplo

Then you run stuff like Gorz, Veiler and Maxx C

And while you're at it, find space for Fiendish Chain, and the engine change means you free up space in your extra deck for Rank 4s entirely. Oh and you should be running Zenmaister regardless.

Extra should look more like

1 Stardust (If you keep Road, which is probably sub-optimal)
3 Laggia
2 Dolkka
1 Number 50
1 Utopia
1 Utopia Ray
1 Zenmaister
1 Emeral
1 Chain
1 Thunderclap
1 Roach
1 Zenmaines

I do admit, it's not the most consistent deck, but I want to make it work.
Who wouldn't want to use their Laggia 3 times?

Why would you not just get out 3 Laggias then?

You really wont have the time to get them both out consistently, by the time you have the chance to summon Freezerdon your opponent will have forced you to use Laggia's effect.

Which is why I am trying to build a deck that can.

Why do what you can do for 3 Rank 4s when you can use a Rank 4 and a Rank 5 instead?
Mainly because it's much easier to get out 3 Ranks 4s, rather than the latter, in Evols.

If you must do so:

-1 Starlight Road
-2 Primordial Soup
+3 Fiendish Chain

I don't really recognize the rest anyway.

Your combo involves stupidly large amounts of dead draws and unnecessary cards. Multiple Laggias, or Laggia and Dolkka are better than wasting any time going for Freezerdon, it's the absolute worst Xyz ever made for a reason. You'd be better off making so many monsters, like any other Rank 5, literally.

You're basing your deck around the idea that you draw perfectly every game. We're trying to help it so, instead of having dumb and bad combos, you actually draw perfectly almost every game.

Consistency > One rare combo

You're not even "maximising" one Laggia, you're relying way too much on a shitty combo, when you could be sitting on 2 2400 Solemn Judgments.

Thank you.
So, since my "brilliant" combo is no longer feasible, and it looks like rebuilding my deck from the ground up is in order, what should I change?

Did you seriously not read the posts in this thread? People already said what you should change.

They never said anything about the Spells.
We're not even complaining about the Spells. It's the pure concept.

If a build does the exact same thing as another build, but one of them is strictly inferior, the better build should be chosen at all times. Especially if they're basically the same deck type.

1. You should never, ever have more than 1 or 2 Laggias on the field at a time anyway. Mainly because Dolkka has more priority with it.

Laggia + Dolkka > Laggia + Freezerdon.

In simple terms. If you ever need more than 1 Laggia, or use all 3, somehow, you have Avarice. And you should be running Daigusto Emeral. And Lavalval Chain. Vylon Disigma is just bad.

And nearly every Evol spell is bad, just because you can run much more useful cards.

Well, not all of the Spells are bad.
Evo-Force works wonders with Najasho, while Evo-Variance pulls out monsters, and Primordial Soup recycles Evolsaurs.
But I will modify my build.

Evo-Force is the one exception, yeah.
