FraXured Signatures

[center]Welcome to my thread. The idea behind this thread is basically for me to post signatures I've made. In order to get constructive criticism back from you guys/girls, in order to improve.

I've made a lot of signatures in GIMP lately and read various tutorials, but receiving truthful critique, tips & resource suggestions is the main thing that can help me improve. I tend to find it hard to create a continuous flow and focal point at times, incorporate advanced colour schemes and, most annoyingly, struggle to add depth to my work, leaving them looking 2D.

Anyway, I hope you can take a look. Feedback I find to be useful is likely to get a reputation/like, so we can both benefit. >.<

Is best one.

With the others, most of the colours don't work well together, and the text doesn't suit.(Except for the Haxorus one.)
Some are way too contrasted and most of them are really flat and have little to no flow. Lighting isn't that great either.
BUT.
They're all executed pretty well, even without a concept. Work more on placement of render and/or fractals, instead of some fractal/C4D spam.
Overall, the tags look pretty nice. Just need to work on some of those basics.

Thanks for the feedback. :D

I do have a habit of contrasting the life out of them, which I'm starting to be more cautious about (or trying to, anyway). You're very correct about them looking flat and flowless, for the most part. I struggle to add depth. I find that some people (such as Lasting Carnage) brilliantly add depth with spike renders and the like, but I can never use them effectively.

On my next sigs, I'll try a lot more different ways to place the renders and fractals then. Besides, I read .Rai's guide on text placement (amongst other things), but as far as renders go, I could use a bit more practice.

Much love <3

Tutorials/.PSDs are you friend.
This early on in your graphic design career cnc won't benefit you much until you understand critique well, and can pick and choose which advice to heed and which to only ponder for a moment.
By browsing a new tut/.psd and trying to put out a new piece at least once every two days, you'll start to get a better gist of the whole thing.

Take it from personal knowledge, the thing that helped me improve most wasn't my peers critique (even if it is a major factor) but instead putting out as many pieces as I could. (tuts/psd's as well)
However now that I'm more fluent in graphic design, critique is everything.

Focus on that and soon you'll be putting out amazing pieces, in time, with the right amount of dedication you'll be giving new artists the same advice.
Keep it up.

Good point about picking and choosing what to listen to, although if its easy enough to replicate and looks good, then I would definitely take the advice.

I also mentioned any useful tutorial or resource links in the OP would be great, so I do take on board the significance of them.

And you make it clear (and very correctly) that making more and more banners can only make me better, so here is a new one!

I might still be on a learning curve, for I'd still appreciate C&C, because, provided I know how to improve it, I would still take your comments on board. :)

Text usually ruins a tag, unless of course you can make it flow well, try not to make it stand out more, e.g the pink is obviously a huge difference compared to the other colors, try to overlay the text it sometimes helps the flow, if not then don't add the text at all, I'm not the best at doing tags but text does usually ruin it.
