I love the movie, it was exactly like the books except for how Katniss got her mockingjay pin and they cut out the story about Prim's goat, but that's okay. Not sure what Daemon's talking about.

Really? You think this much? The interpretation of the book is what defines it for the reader. It wasn't exactly like it, the interpretation is what was off for me, which is why I state what i do.

The first thing I think when I saw the trailers was "Don't tell me that's the chick for Series of Unfortunate Events"
I'm not really sure, but that was my first thought.

I personally hated the books, since I didn't really understand what was going on
The trailers, however, look so fucking badass that I really wanna watch it one day

Really. I saw it and it's pretty much like the Harry Potter movie. While it's good, there's a few things they either change or add in.
Ten Differences Between the Movie & the Book that I've notice while watching the movie:
10. More Gale Hawthorne
9. Deaths Happen Faster
8. No visit from Peeta's Father
7. The Connection with Rue
6. The End of the Game Maker
5. The Dog Mutants
4. More Backstage Focus
3. thresh's Death
2. No Avox Girl
1. The reaction to Rue's death

Cutting out things is different than changing things, it is a movie after all. If I judged it by that, every movie would suck in comparison because it wasn't 3-5 hours to fit everything from the book in it.

I'm sure changing it from the first person view to a third person view is call "cutting out things". Leaving things out is ok only if they leaves out events that won't affect the core plot of the story. The american adaptation of the girl with the dragon tattoo also leaves out some unnecessary detail from the book but it didn't affect the story and made it feel rush or too fast paced.

...I'm sure they tried to make the dog mutants like they were in the book, then went "Crap, can't do it!" and went with what they have. Some things just can't be done. And movies will occasionally feel rushed because they can only fit so much in a movie. Not all directors can make four hour movies like Perter Jackson did with the Lord of the Rings. You have time restraints, budgets, etc. Personally, I think they did an EXCELLENT job of staying as true to the book as possible.

You're complaining the movie wasn't an FPS from Katniss's point of view?
