ENMaker
I've read the books, but I haven't seen the movie yet. The trailers are epic...
Simping For Hina
Hated the books because of how they were written. It was a turn-off of the plot, so I didn't like it. The plot is fabulous. Movie was so different from the book and that is where I draw the line.
IceDorago
I loved the books. I'll be seeing the movie on Tuesday and I'm looking forward to it.
Shradow
I love the movie, it was exactly like the books except for how Katniss got her mockingjay pin and they cut out the story about Prim's goat, but that's okay. Not sure what Daemon's talking about.
Simping For Hina
I love the movie, it was exactly like the books except for how Katniss got her mockingjay pin and they cut out the story about Prim's goat, but that's okay. It wasn't exactly like it, the interpretation is what was off for me, which is why I state what i do.
CrystalCyae
The first thing I think when I saw the trailers was "Don't tell me that's the chick for Series of Unfortunate Events" I'm not really sure, but that was my first thought. I personally hated the books, since I didn't really understand what was going on The trailers, however, look so fucking badass that I really wanna watch it one day

Ten Differences Between the Movie & the Book that I've notice while watching the movie: 10. More Gale Hawthorne 9. Deaths Happen Faster 8. No visit from Peeta's Father 7. The Connection with Rue 6. The End of the Game Maker 5. The Dog Mutants 4. Shradow
Cutting out things is different than changing things, it is a movie after all. If I judged it by that, every movie would suck in comparison because it wasn't 3-5 hours to fit everything from the book in it.
I'm sure changing it from the first person view to a third person view is call "cutting out things". Leaving things out is ok only if they leaves out events that won't affect the core plot of the story. The american adaptation of the girl with the dragon tattoo also leaves out some unnecessary detail from the book but it didn't affect the story and made it feel rush or too fast paced. Some things just can't be done. And movies will occasionally feel rushed because they can only fit so much in a movie. Not all directors can make four hour movies like Perter Jackson did with the Lord of the Rings. You have time restraints, budgets, etc. Personally, I think they did an EXCELLENT job of staying as true to the book as possible.

ENMaker
A film in first-person would be absolutely s***.
Dragovian
Got the books for Christmas, thought that they were good, then this film came out and now everyone's reading them! Then they say that the books suck and throw them away.

Darth Revan of the Sith
I personally found the movie better than the book which is the first time I have ever thought like that and is most probably the last. Jennifer Lawrence is amazing, 'nuff said.
Shradow
I don't think they could've gotten a better Katniss. I love how she acts in interviews, too. "Some people say you're really down to earth." "No, I'm just dumb." Haymitch was great, too.
Agaming
My fav bit must be when she shoots the apple where all the posh guys were and the she says 'Thank you for you consideration' or somein like that
Lucifer the Wise
Absolutely loved the movie and I thought the changes they made were well thought out too. Me and a friend of mine both think the movie adaptation was better than the book itself.
Rapidfire
I loved the movie... Sadly never read the book... The cast was awesome... And was i the only person who cried during the movie???
IceDorago
I saw the movie yesterday. I didn't think it surpassed the book, but then again movie adaptations never do, do they? However, I certainly feel that the movie did the series justice, and was honestly amazed by the accuracy of it.
Shradow
I'm still a bit questioning on the camoflauge thing with Peeta. I even was when I read the books. "Oh, I decorated cakes!" I'm like, "I don't think it works like that..."
Twig
Overall, they did a good job on making a movie out of the book. I didn't expect them to have everything. I do wish they'd have more focus on the avox and dog mutants.
