Is there any new avatar uploading regulations?

Alright, easy question.

When I left YCM, it was in MyBB and which avatars that you can upload is stated clearly ('Max. size 2MB', 'max. dimension 100x100px' etc.). Now that it has changed to IP.Board the 'You can upload 200px or larger' didn't help much.

So have they changed the avatar regulations? Or is it still just the old one?

The 'Use 200px or larger' rule is silly. The one I'm using right now is a 150x150px png image.

There's also a similar, animated picture but with a dimension of 480x480px and 1.79MB in size, and it didn't work. Surely it must've been the size limit.

Well I re-sized it, maybe it's something to do with the amount of frames used, as I made it larger and ony a PNG file and it worked fine, so it might be something to do with the frames.

I think you can upload any size then crop it...that's what happens for me anyway.

This is why I asked...I have an animating gif that has a size about 258kb and a dimension of 150x150px. It can't be set as an avatar ('Failed to set a new photo').

Can you post the details of the avatar you're uploading so we both can figure this problem out.

FINALLY. Just used a different image in the end.
