Atypical-Abbie
Speaking from experience, it doesn't do too much at all, and it would probably help you more than hurt you. CCGers have their own card pool that they need to specify when they first make an account (if you have a default account you can always migrate to a CCG but you'll lose your private cards and decklists in the process). The interface is exactly the same as if you were in Default, and you can even chat and duel with people who are using the public card pool. However, you don't have access to the public card pool itself, and as far as I know all cards you submit are treated as public within your CCG (might be wrong about this). This means that anyone within the CCG can add/edit cards to it, but they will only show up to people who are playing your CCG. Now, there are some really good things about a CCG. The first one is one you already guessed; you can have your own custom banlist. I don't think there's an option for players to update the banlist, though, so you'd have to tell Sea to do it for you. But it's definitely better than having the TCG list, especially if you don't use those cards in your CCG anyway. Another thing is that you can have booster set names; you don't have to have all your cards tagged as "EVO", for instance. If you release your cards in sets, you can divide them up into such sets. Or, you can have each card creator categorize their cards with a different tag. Finally (and this is something just for fun), you can give all cards in your CCG card lores. You know how Normal monsters have these really cool descriptions, but none of the other monsters do? Well now you can give Effect/Fusion/Synchro/whatever monsters those cool descriptions too, and they'll show up below their card effects. There may be other perks but that's all I can think of at the moment. So because there are so many EVO cards and EVO players, I think it'd be a good investment for you to try. The only downside is that you'd have to rebuild your decks again, but you can always copy them to a clipboard before you switch card pools.I see. Well, I don't really know if that's really something that we really need, while having a banlist is nice, ours isn't very big anyway, since we typically just re-work the card itself if there's a problem with it, and I don't really want to change each card so that they fit a new set, so I don't find much use for that. You sort of isolate the card base to just EVO if you will, from what I understand (Someone correct me if I'm wrong). I think Hippo and the others covered the rest

Maeriberii Haan
Well, what he mean is that the biggest thing about CCG is that their cardpool will be completely separated from the Public Pool. Custom banlist is a thing, yes.
Marco Polo
Made it private. This should probably be fixed next update.Tevilah still says it's read-only and I'm not the owner. huh, maybe just delete it because I've already made a copy with (*) that works well? Atypical-Abbie
Just posed an Archetype which I put up on Duel Portal, in case anyone wants to take a look: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/327975-archetype-steadfast/ There's a problem I just noticed, if you resize your browser, Duel Portal stretches, which is fine, but if you try to go back, it stays in the stretched state. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Just hopefully the DN lot keep their hands off of our stuff (by that, don't edit them + delete them for whatever reasons). But yeah, hopefully it draws attention; otherwise we might as well keep DP exclusive to us only.

In fact, I think it would be more likely that they would be fearful of us messing with their stuff.
Atypical-Abbie
If you are going to make them public, expect things like that. Hopefully there are back-up versions of the card database so if someone decides to mess with all of the cards, the game won't be ruined.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
There probably is, but only seatteite has access to it, I presume.Reason why I mentioned this is because of the mentality I get from their matches (see the DP thread in Games), which isn't really a good opinion on a lot of DN members (if they make stupid calls and all that), so... But yeah, expect things like that to happen in public mode. (Don't know if seatteite also has the power to ban users for abusing the system; he probably does)
Maeriberii Haan
Well, I think that was the reason for why public cards used to be uneditable back then. But eh, gotta live with this now, I guess.
