the duel system appears to be completely down.  no one in the lobby can get it to work.  you accept the match and it brings up the dueling screen but then it can't connect to your opponent.


Edit:  now you can't even get that far.  when you host a duel it doesn't show up

Hmm, if this problem persists, it throws a wrench into things for that tournament.

Yeah, hopefully things work by then; otherwise we might have to do a LOT of proxies on DN, and that's going to prove chaotic.

 

I added some new HERO cards on DP; still need to clean up some crap regarding the effects and all (considering I originally made them too powerful in 2011, or the OCG is still in 5Ds world); but all are available to use.

One Proxy for every custom card would make 100+ proxies you'd have to keep track of, and like 20 in a duel, that would be pretty difficult. Let's just pray to our Portalgod Seatellite, and if he can't do it quick enough, we still have an option called "delaying".

Have you checked that Pipelight/Silverlight is properly installed, and is capable of working on your browser?

Had that issue last night while coding stuff; DP works fine now after doing so.

The duel system goes down from time to time, it happens. Most of the time, it just takes a few seconds to startup again.

 

If it goes down during the tournament, post here and I can get it started up quicker.

BTW seatellite, when do you plan on adding Pendulums for this? There've been some questions in the tournament thread (and here) regarding their arrival.

Just take your time adding them, if you're busy at the moment.

Yes, it works as it should. Only 1 invisible card but that's just a minor bug.

By the way, I want to discuss an idea I had for DP. I already mentioned it in the DP chat but I would to bring it up here to the forums:

 

How about allowing the use of official cards that are fixed or "patched up" with PSCT or improved effects? For instance, allowing the search effect of "Genex Neutron" to work even if the monster is no longer on your field by the End Phase of the turn it was Normal Summoned. Or think of what Konami did to "Dark Strike Fighter" and the bunch of formerly-Forbidden cards they nerfed.

 

Would everyone be fine with that, or would you prefer new cards as retrains?

That would be a good idea to try out.

We can then see if the cards become more viable in their respective Decks or if they're balanced enough to be allowed back.

 

Although, retrains can be available for those who want them anyway.

I can work on pendulums next month. For now, I'd just like to get through the tournament :)

Just need to update the standings from the results shown in thread since I left for a while.

 

And seriously, DP is A LOT easier to add custom cards to, than YGOPro.

Of course it is, to add cards to YGOpro you have to know how to program them via LuaEdit or something like that. I looked into it once and didn't get it much, what came out was a 2400 beater with the same effect as Samsara Lotus. Was kinda dumb.

Well, you can easily do this with Skype. It'd be nice to have here for the people who don't mind using it (meanwhile, I'd rather just type tyvm), but atm it doesn't feel very necessary because we can already do it.

 

 

 

 

 

EDIT: Is it possible to change the search results when we're looking up cards to put the cards in alphabetical order instead of the order they were created without too much trouble?
