Duel Portal - Duel with your created cards [SUPPORT THREAD] [ONLINE]

That would take a lot of work, especially since all the cards are custom cards, so the AI would need to know how to read the cards, and not only is that really really not an easy thing to do, but people don't always write the same way, in fact, most people have horrible PSCT, so that doesn't help either. It wouldn't work. If you need people to play with, ask a friend or make a status update here. You can also open another browser and log in with another user and play against yourself.

Okay I stipulate that AI is not an option but what about a blank field...for one to practice with.

There are some cards on there that already exist by Konami, but yeah it's an option to just play on your own.

(Just going to be a pain in the ass to install Pipelight/Silverlight on another computer; since my version doesn't work with Chrome)

It'll be about as hard (if not worse) than trying to program custom cards in DevPro from what it looks like.

But idea would be nice.

The problem with an AI is, in addition to having to program them to learn certain Decks, how do you expect them to react to you reacting to them? Sea could give them a short timer between moves so they won't Summon eleven monsters in one second, but how do you get their attention, and get them to react appropriately to whatever you activated? They would need a different response programmed for BTH, TT, etc., and even then getting them to react appropriately to custom cards would be a nightmare. Like really, the only way I see that even happening is if this becomes similar to YGOPro (but that would be a rulings nightmare) or if it became heavily PSCT-dependent.

Just find each other and organize some time to get on.

The problem with a blank field to practice with is that it makes for horrible testing. Against a blank field, every Deck wins 100% of the time. Their combos will always be uninterrupted, there would be no need for removal effects or counters, and the most it could test is how consistently or well your cards could make certain plays.

I think the reason he wants this is so that he can test how a Deck feels. Sometimes you have an idea about how it works, but need to have the hands in your hand and actually play with them before that happens. I can see that appeal, as that's something that I have experienced sometimes, playing with Spirit Beasts made me realize how they play in a very interesting way, something I needed to get more used to, so I needed to change things approach them. If you can't get the double browser thing to work properly, then this would be great, also that having to do that is kind of awkward, since you need to make another account, set up a duel and join it, then switch between the two. Kind of annoying if you want to do that a lot.

Exactly. As Zaziuma said I would like to see what my possible draws look like and what plays I can make consistently. That can't be horrible testing if that is all I want to test.

I have a cuestion. Can be a card avaliable for everyone, but that only I could edit it? Thanks.

No, it's not possible, and there's a reason for it:

You can do whatever you like with your own cards, but when you make them public, they are loaded by everyone, everytime they login. They're editable by anyone to give the community the opportunity to control bad and spam cards (it's taking up their bandwidth, anyway)

There's probably a better way to do it, but I haven't heard complaints of people editing cards that aren't theirs (that didn't deserve it). People are good about that here :) If it becomes a problem, I'll come up with something better.

Just in case, I have a log of people who've edited public cards and their previous versions.

I would duel, since I have a bunch of cards to test, but I keep getting an error when I try to log on, and when I try to duel when I don't get the error, there's nobody there or everyone just leaves

It's an error with CCGers, but it's harmless. Just exit out of the "loading" window. I'll fix it when I get the chance

REALLY want to use this but for some reason I can't get it to accept an email address anymore.  I got one address accepted, but i'm trying to make a second for my siblings to play with me(no one is ever on that site...) and it always says "invalid email" or just "unknown error".  I've used several different emails.

Also, it'd be nice if we could duel against ourselves using 2 of our decks.  good for practice/testing, and if I HAD to I could find a way to duel my siblings that way probably

I cant sign up, it continues to tell me I have an invalid email, then tells me there is an unknown error message even though I have tried with 2 very separate email accounts... can anyone help?

Got it. The email service has issues sometimes.

I might have to make a temporary workaround, so hold on a few more days.

Right now, you can make two accounts, open two tabs and duel yourself, but a testing mode is still in the works
