I think the dueling is messed up because the buttons are faded out for me and the deck editor may be messed up.

What do you guys mean by "busted"? I can connect to the server and chat. Am I missing something?

I'm still new, and not 100% sure how the site works so you can correct me if I'm wrong anywhere.

• Well for one, I can't load decks. That's the biggest thing, I can't see what cards are there or what isn't there or if any cards are saved in it at all. No clue what a .sol file is, so I don't bother with it.
• I guess I got around the imcomplete loading thing by zooming out, but it still says "Error getting news" in Deck Builder. Idk if it's suppose to be like that since I only joined recently. But so far the only thing I know I'm capable of doing is uploading cards and using the Chat.
• (This isn't REALLY a bug, but still.) I won't push for pendulums since you'd have to move around the field and card options, but I noticed the new Wyrm-Type isn't implemented either. As far as I know, you can only make custom type when you generate from YCM(and maybe Yugico, haven't tried). If it's not in DP's generator and you edit it(a card with a custom type), it sets it to Aqua. Meaning you'd have to delete it and resubmit it.

I can login but I do not think that I am able to connect to chat. Like Asterr, I cannot load my decks. I cannot duel(not even myself) because my decks won't load there either.

 

Also I can no longer save decks. I was able to do so just a few weeks ago

Uh, for whatever reason i can't login or sign up, i can't even type anything. nothing i type on the login screen and register screen shows up.

That may be a problem with your browser and/or OS. For me, running Windows 8, Duel Portal only seems to work with Chrome. I also just checked and I could still log in and type.

@ Cryze - This error is unusual as I have not been able to recreate it. I'll keep my eyes peeled though, maybe some other people have had this error.

 

Maybe clear the cache, and try again tomorrow?

Well just now I was able to make a second account and got no errors so it's probably not the site, but i'm not sure how to help either.

Just a heads up, the site could be rather temperamental on its own. It's hardly game-breaking, but the quirks can be trying for new users.

Hello everyone,

I am the founder of HCCG and I can attest to what Imperium is saying. I've had an account on DuelPortal for a few months now, although I've been busier than I've expected and don't find too much chance to log in/meet people anymore. But I don't seem to have any problems using the program's deck building or chatting features, and the only error message I've gotten consistently is the "Error getting news" that other people seem to also get. Of course, I have yet to see if I can duel anyone, since whenever I log on there is no one online except me.

 

Since it looks like most other people are using the default card pool, I would hate to think this is a problem with the server giving custom CCGs priority over the default. But that's the first thing that came to my mind. If need be, I can give Seattleite permission to remove HCCG from the server temporarily to see if that fixes the problem.

 

@asterr259 You'd do it the same way you normally would. The interface of DP is the same no matter what card pool you use.

Well like i've said, I've never been able to load a deck or duel so I don't know if what I'm doing is right or wrong even though I've tried pretty much everything. I don't know anything about Pools so I just chose Default...

 

EDIT: Okay I confirmed it, with help from Imper.Di and MaleficKing (Thanks!), that it is the Default Pool(If that wasn't already established). When I used HCCG with an Alt Acc I was able to Load and Save just fine, where on Default I got no message saying my deck saved successfully after doing so like I did in HCCG. Which explains Default give me the "Are you sure? You have unsaved Edits" Window when I try to exit to Duel. So it it might be the "Save" Factor rather than the "Load" factor? Or conflicts with whatever else.

In the default room (not LCCG, HCCG or ACG), I cannot save my deck, nor could I find a lot of the cards I wanted to add into my deck (Like Agent cards, and only 3 Artifact cards existed in the builder). Is it on the bucket list to add the rest of the cards from the TCG?

i was messing around on default pool and i was messing around on the deck builder then switched to a different tab then an error came up that said "there was a problem loading this deck (or the server is down)" just wanted to tell if this could help.

I've tested the Wyverns, Sea-Kings, and Tanookis on HCCG. I think it'd be a nice start for everyone.
