Duel Portal - Duel with your created cards [SUPPORT THREAD] [ONLINE]

I had to have everyone load their own cards because it's too much to pass 6000+ cards to everyone, everytime they log in.

However you can put all your cards in a set name (filter) then share the whole set with someone else.

But absolutely no way to look at someone else's cards in general either?  only cards shared with you (assuming you want to see the cards of a specific person as opposed to just looking around.  If that's how it is, I guess it does make it a little harder, but I suppose it'll just have to be worked around.

Next question:  Have there been any conflicts using Silverlight 5 with this version of Duel Portal (with it being made with Silverlight 4)?  I'm sure I asked before the release if a problem was expected but I'm asking now is any problems have actually come up.

I'm pretty sure I'm Silverlight 5.1

Silverlight is MS right? Quite sure that they make sure that future versions can handle previous ones.

So, from what I have read and hopefully understood, people can't yet use OTHER people's created cards?

As in, I couldn't make a bunch of cards and have someone ELSE use my cards for me (against me or someone else) to test them for playtesting data purposes. I like to see other people use my cards to tell me how they would use it (because most people don't play the same way and thus the strategies developed are different).

Once, I was on DP and the person I was duelling said that he got beaten by someone who was using one of my sets and apparently used it very well and I would have liked to have seen the techs used.

What seattleite said about sharing cards ^^ although...I was able to send the staples to one person but I got an error when I tried sending them to 2 other people after. Do you what know the problem is? And by "can't see face-up cards" I mean that, literally, cards that are not set on the field are invisible.

*know what* sorry I'm on my phone and it sounds like I can't speak English haha

Only cards with images uploaded can't be seen as all my cards without images appear fine.

That's my point too.  I hate to say it, but sometimes, you make cards and can't use them nearly as well as someone else.  Sometimes, someone else can use your own stuff better than you can, especially new ideas you are still working out.

I'm making a set right now that i'm not even sure if I can play it myself to its full potential as it's a very new playstyle.  I haven't even finished the set, so I figured I'd throw some of the completed cards of the set on DP and see what other people do and go from there (either making changes or getting ideas to complete the set).

Actually, for that matter, is the "Watch Duel" feature available now?  Could I give someone my cards and WATCH them play someone else using some of my cards?

Good point, and yes you can, but you'll have to pay close attention and check cards in the grave and field, etc. throughout the duel.

I have to say that while I did complete a duel, and there was only a few quick dc's, I just can't tolerate the interface. You can't see face-up cards, overlay cards, and you opponent can't reveal anything. :/ It makes for a lot of complications. By the way, a "banish face-down" and "mill face-down" feature would be nice. I know it's hard enough to get all the bugs out and good job on finally getting it running smoothly. I hope I didn't sound rude, but I'd just like to know if the dueling interface will ever be more appealing, somewhat DN-esque?

Overlaying isn't possible...

You actually can attach things though, and this is done by moving a cards position to the same position as another card.

This is good to know, thanks.

I plan to improve the interface later by showing the hand as images (not a list) and also overlaid materials.

Banishing facedown was a feature in the original Duel Portal I forgot to import *puts it on the list*

But what do you mean by "You can't see face-up cards?"

Face-up cards that have a custom img are invisble

The share feature is working again, I sent the staples to those who requested it. I uploaded pictures onto my cards a week ago and they still haven't shown up. This might be a problem on my part, so I'll re-upload them. I just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem?

Ok, I got it, Based on what you put, I right clicked on the card and didn't see a part saying "copy link", however I did see "copy link location". I'm using Mozilla Firefox by the way, so my buttons in my right click menu might be different from what you have. Anyway, "copy link location" gave me "javascript:uploadtoimageshack();" so I figured that wasn't right. Then I tried "copy image location" and that ended up giving the correct link. All of the details generated perfectly and now my card appears in my Deck Editor if I just search the name. Thank you.

Now that I've tested this, I'm going to go back to making some more cards so I can actually get a deck going. Can we use this thread to arrange Duels as it seems there's rarely people in the lobby or is there a seperate section for that?

You don't right click on the card, only on the link, which is below the card when you left click it. Copy that link.
