That's fine, lots of people have been doing that, there's like 4 Dark Holes already :P We're trying to figure out a solution that wouldn't require everyone to re-make TCG staples, but for now you can do that.

Alright cool, I guess I'll go make more. Btw, if anyone want me to send them the staples set I'm making then just pm me. Make sure to tell me your Duel Portal name, of course.

I WANT ALL THE STAPLES - *Creates a deck of nothing but staple/semi-staple cards*

No but really so far the only staples I have are Dark hole, Monster reborn and heavy storm >.<

Hmm, there's a problem...I was able to send them to AixDivadis, but after that, "An error occurred trying to share cards with ____. " I've tried sending them more than once to 2 people but I keep getting that error message and sometimes the whole page will freeze. Sorry guys. :/ Does anyone know how to fix that or what that is? >.>

@ Synchro Maniac - I don't know, I will investigate.

I'm going to make a TCG "staple" set which people can choose to import, so we can forego the use of sharing them...

And I made a small update, now lobby messages won't run past the right edge, and there's a way to check what your opponent revealed in their hand similar to how YVD does it.

Also, how often do duels crash for you guys? I made a fix and it's significantly lower, for me anyway.

As said above, it was relatively bug free, and I'm happy to say that Avaren's deck wasn't Overpowered but one of the victory card was extremely frightening.

The only issue is that randomly Avaren was kicked from 1 duel(not a disconnect)

and the card images were a little malfunctioning but overall it was a good run.

I have to say that while I did complete a duel, and there was only a few quick dc's, I just can't tolerate the interface. You can't see face-up cards, overlay cards, and you opponent can't reveal anything. :/ It makes for a lot of complications. By the way, a "banish face-down" and "mill face-down" feature would be nice. I know it's hard enough to get all the bugs out and good job on finally getting it running smoothly. I hope I didn't sound rude, but I'd just like to know if the dueling interface will ever be more appealing, somewhat DN-esque?

So, from what I have read and hopefully understood, people can't yet use OTHER people's created cards?

As in, I couldn't make a bunch of cards and have someone ELSE use my cards for me (against me or someone else) to test them for playtesting data purposes. I like to see other people use my cards to tell me how they would use it (because most people don't play the same way and thus the strategies developed are different).

There's a send card option I think, havn't tested it yet, but I think you should be able to.

And that's it?  You have to directly send someone your cards for them to use them, unlike the original version of Duel Portal?

So if you want some data or just have some fun, you have to specifically pick someone to do it with and send them a bunch of cards individually? If we're talking about a whole deck, we could be talking about sending up to 30-40 separate cards and then repeating that for another person?  And if we're talking about even a single card, we're still talking about waiting for them to use your card before you learn anything (purposely stalling until they summon/play your card) and again, repeat?

I thought people just being able to use each other's cards easily or search through a card database of everyone's work would just be carried over from the original version. Will we actually get these features back?  What other features from the original DN are missing?

I said that I hadn't tried it, so I can't answer that question. But yeah, it's kind of weird why he made it like this, I suppose it makes it easier for you to find the cards you want, and not have a lot of bad cards, but it also means that you won't be able to play with some random people's cards.

Is this going to be a future feature, or is this just how it is?

I'm talking generally to everyone and anyone, your post is just quoted as reference (for information), it's not all directly to you.  Thank you for answering regardless.

My intention with using DN would be almost purely academic, getting data to make changes or finalize cards or just enjoy myself by seeing other people use some of my cards they like with their own stuff (especially if I make cards for a deck I actually don't play but try to make things to make it interesting enough to try it myself).  Just counting cards that form of separate decks, I have anywhere up to 30 different original decks I've made (not including cards I've made for existing real life decks).  While I don't need to test them all, as many already have been in other ways, a lot of my new stuff isn't even finished and I could use a new way to streamline testing

Unfortunately, most of my regular friends have all but given up the game (including my online friends), so printing out cards isn't as economically worth it with no one to physically play.

I guess I want to see what can be played by many people versus what could only be played by people who are as weird as I am in their playstyles.  I think we'd also get ideas from using someone else's cards.

So for now, we have to do "Playtesting Buddies" to regularly play and send new cards to and make play dates, instead of just letting random people get it and test it.  I suppose there's good and bad things about it if so you won't get a bunch of people playing your cards and claiming they are too powerful just because they use it well (or bad because they can't play it at all), but at the same time, it's good to put a card out there for that exact same reason and people will see that what is "scary" on paper isn't necessarily that powerful in application.

This is good to know, thanks.

I plan to improve the interface later by showing the hand as images (not a list) and also overlaid materials.

Banishing facedown was a feature in the original Duel Portal I forgot to import *puts it on the list*

But what do you mean by "You can't see face-up cards?"

I had to have everyone load their own cards because it's too much to pass 6000+ cards to everyone, everytime they log in.

However you can put all your cards in a set name (filter) then share the whole set with someone else.

What seattleite said about sharing cards ^^ although...I was able to send the staples to one person but I got an error when I tried sending them to 2 other people after. Do you what know the problem is? And by "can't see face-up cards" I mean that, literally, cards that are not set on the field are invisible.

*know what* sorry I'm on my phone and it sounds like I can't speak English haha
