.Rai
Murkwater Tidedraggers Zombie-Type/WATER/Level 4/Effect/1900 ATK/1900 DEF Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 2 WATER or DARK monsters from your Graveyard. When this card is Special Summoned: Look at your opponent's hand and target 1 card in it; banish that card while this card is on the field or in the Graveyard. Once per turn, if this card would be destroyed by an opponent's card (either by battle or card effect): It is not destroyed (any Damage Calculation still applies). Royal Bankers Spellcaster-Type/LIGHT/Level 4/Effect/800 ATK/2200 DEF Once during either player's turn, while you control another LIGHT or WATER monster: You can negate the activation of an Effect Monster's effect then negate its effect until the End Phase; gain 500 Life Points and inflict 500 damage to your opponent. The set will be the first of three as a block, similar to MtG. They are as of yet unnamed. The sets however will focus on refreshing old concepts in Yu-Gi-Oh!, and adding new ones. The two cards above are to promote play based on Attribute. The feel of the cards very much are in flavour, each of their respective effects reflecting their names and stats. A couple of tips and stuff. You'll notice that the negation effect of Royal Bankers is actually a cost. Thought that would be nice to know. The point of Murkwater Tidedraggers was both a conscious attempt at boosting Zombies in an intelligent way, and also to invent new decktypes. The sheer nature of it encourages early plays of Doomcaliber Knight and maybe a Genex Undine engine. Link to comment
