Sleep.

On weekdays, I go to bed around ten, but don't go to sleep till around midnight. On weekends I go to bed whenever I want and wake up whenever I want. I go through two stages of sleep. The first is an extremely light sleep and the second is a "I'm not waking up unless a xenomorph is several inches from me face" kind of sleep.

Things I've slept through:

Earthquakes
Fire Alarms
Annoying Siblings

I sleep like a f***ing rock. It took a lightning strike a small distance away from my house to stir me.

I'm just scared I'll burn to death in a fire because the alarm failed to wake me. ._.

Sleep is the bomb diggity. I prefer to think of it as "the study of the insides of my eyelids".

Best phrase.

OT: I have terrible insomnia. No matter what precaution I take, sleep never finds me. In fact, I'm only online now because I couldn't fall asleep a couple of hours ago. I used to sleep okay-ish (six or so hours a night), but now I'd be lucky to get four.

GDI you.

If I have to get up to go to work early in the morning (which is at like 05:00 (which makes no sense because people AREN'T EVEN AWAKE AT 05:00!)), I absolutely HAVE to have a 5-Hour Energy. No ifs, ands, or butts. Although, there have been studies that suggest if you listen to incredibly exhilarating, adrenaline-pumped music (Demetori for example), your body reacts to it, engaging the neurons in your brain in order to process things faster and, actually, start waking you up. The same can be said in the exact opposite; if you listen to calm, soothing music (like any Classical music, like Beethoven, Mozart, or Haydn), the brain decelerates its processing, allowing you to fall asleep faster.

But don't listen to Demetori while falling asleep.

Thankfully, I get a pretty good amount of sleep. I don't really stay up that late on weekdays because with the large amount of sleep I get I'm still fairly tired during school, and if I got a small amount of sleep my mind would be really frazzled and wouldn't work correctly. On weekends though, I stay up fairly late but would stay up almost the whole night if I wasn't so afraid of my parents getting up at two in the morning, finding me still awake and getting angry at me, when they told me to go to sleep earlier. And yes, that happened once. I shouldn't have left the light on in my room...
