Flame Dragon
Since I've always been a big fan of single player games and getting in a group with my friends offline gaming has always been where I spent most of my time. TF2 has given online a bigger push but it is still lopsided. Really, outside of single player games like LoZ or Mario most games in the future will have various levels of online playability. Spellcaster2000
Umm, all i'm gonna say is that my language arts teacher games and has a PS3, however he doesn't play online because he doesn't want some "British kid halfway around the world, swearing at him." I think that's fair enough logic.
I'm british and I find that offending. Tell him that. Completely and utterly stupid logic, thank you very much. And Vairocana, the BRITISH accent you speak of is actually the LONDON COCKNEY accent. Seriously people. You all think that I'm some sort of 'ello guv' kind of person. Order-Sol, I'm glad somebody agrees with me, finnaly. Back on topic, I like a good mix of both, it's an easy question for anybody ton answer. Tentacruel
I couldn't decide. Online usually has better gameplay. But offline has better story and presentation.
Umbra
Neither of them is inherently better, I'd say. Some games work better with multiplayer - BF3 and such come to mind - whereas other games are better in singleplayer situations.
Noria
It matters what game, Really. None is superior to the other in the end. Its all in what game. Some games are built around Offline, Some are built around Online, Some are built with a (Semi) even mixture. It's very hard to say in the end which is better. Somethings for the Offline/Online I came up with were (For the general spectrum.): Offline:

You can play either story or practice skills
Learn the basics of set game
Play fun modes
Just play the game
Online

You can compete with others to sharpen your skills
Make friends in the Community by being either friendly or other means
Learn skills you wouldn't be able to do in offline
Just play the game + friends
(Then again there is LAN mode, I don't know to consider this Offline or Online mode, so I left it out.) Alice Moonflowyr
I'm a Chatty Cathy on those online games. I like online games, and I like playing with people who talk as much as I do.
