Online and offline video gaming have had conflict for only a couple years now because online gaming was only introduced to the public maybe 5-10 years ago I don't realy know when on the dote but which one has its better highlights. There are games that are better with online and there are some better without so I want to know what you think.

I didn't post that everytime. You also spelt "Here" wrong, "Hear" relates to sounds. And I'm british so wtf. I can't bear to listen to american accents.

Your the one with an accent. Mine is just fine thank you! I don't play games online unless they are an MMO or something simple like a Mario game. I will never play a shooter or something online since I would rather not have a retarded 8 year old shout sexist comments at me and the online mode is usually filled with hackers anyway.

Actually everyone has an accent so lol. Back on topic: Any game can mix both easily so the topic is relatively null and void and will turn into a topic about people complaining about people from different countries and people whose voice has not broken yet.

Online is usually superior, if not for the fact you're likely to run into some high-pitched 8-year-old talking about his 1337pr0haxr skills and swearing profusely because he thinks it makes him seem smarter.

When I run into that I usually tell them to be quiet and usually get: "U mad?" and I'm like "No, I'm not mad. If I was mad I would've told you to f*** off."

Online. All the way.

I can't stand being away from my computer for long amounts of time when I know that I can't get onto YGO Online or Golfstar by any other means. IT RIPS MY SOUL APART!

But then again, three out of the three PS3 games that I have come with Online capability, but I just never use it because A) No one plays those games anymore, B ) The players on there are a bunch of doofuses and dickpricks, or C) I have no friends to play with, and that's primarily my fault for being anti-social.

They both have their advantages and disadvantages:

Advantages of Offline Gaming:

1) Solo practice
2) It is more personalized
3) No lags at all

Advantages of Online Gaming:

1) Practically explore the world by the people
2) Adds playability
3) Bragging Rights

Disadvantages of Offline Gaming:

1) There are games that are borderline terrible if you don't have it (CoD, and I hate the fish as well).
2) Multiplayer is short-lived.

Disadvantages of Online Gaming:

1) Dat lag-out
2) [s]encounter Brittish Shard[/s] encounter elitist and annoying people who ruin the experience.

You can have bragging rights in games with no online in highscores and time trial records.

I saw who posted this topic and did not read the OP.

Online is far superior to offline play simply because AI are easily manipulated and because eventually playing offline becomes same-old, same-old. Meanwhile, online play is always something exciting depending on the game, and for games like Monster Hunter and Gods Eater it's fun anyway because you're hunting with friends instead of alone.

The only thing offline has that's good is there's no hackers.

Except you can't show it off to anybody. But, that contradicts Disadvantage 2 of online gaming.

I think online and offline gaming is good. There are some games that don't need multiplayer at all (Assassins Creed, Uncharted) and then there are games that thrive on it and only is released for multiplayer (call of duty).

I think online play adds a lot of replay value but it can ruin the game for some people if they get a lot of lag / spoilers / 8 year old kids etc.

Some games that don't have online play because it wasn't available back then would be a lot cooler with online play (Mario Kart 64 comes to mind, would be epic to play that game online) and then others probably wouldn't need it.

Honestly, I loved gaming before online play, I never got bored of games and could play them for hours, and if I had a friend to split screen with I could go even longer, but now with online play, I find myself getting bored of games a lot quicker + I get annoyed at a lot of games because of stupid people (eg. people who like to wreck in racing games).

Fun fact, back before America split from Britain, the "British accent" was actually much more similar to the current American accent than the current British one. /themoreyouknow

On topic, both have their fair share of great and terrible games. Multiplayer does add a level of replayability over offline games (although I've played through Fire Emblem a stupid amount of times, so it's not like offline games aren't replayable).

One major disadvantage I see of multiplayer games is that they only work if the game remains popular. I can pick up my copy of Orcarina of Time any time I want, now, or 20 years from now, and it will still be an excellent playable game. Try going online with the original Starcraft or the first Call of Duty or something. The place is a graveyard.

I'm not a stalker... If someone posts a thread on a forum I'm well within my rights to comment on it .____. If you think someone's a stalker simply for commenting on a few of your threads on an Internet Forum about a Card Game, god help you.

Anyway, Online usually sucks because you need to have retardedly good internet to even get a stable connection so whatever.
