They call it The Dark Hour. These rumours are mostly dismissed as myth, but Mitsuru Kirijo, CEO of the Kirijo Group, isn't so sure. She and a group of scientists travel to Gin City to investigate, but during the first few days, they find nothing. One day however, at midnight, Mitsuru discovers that the buildings, the people and everything around her becomes quickly encased in ice, and frozen solid. She also notes that time itself stops, and that Hanged Horse Park begins to rapidly sink into the core of the Earth, transforming into a chasm known as Hel. Within seconds, hordes of Shadows march out of Hel and climb the walls that used to make up Hanged Horse Park. Mitsuru manages to fend off the Shadows, and after what seems to be an hour's length of time, everything turns back to the way it was, but The Dark Hour finally takes its toll on Mitsuru's body as it begins to cease, after so much fighting and so many times summoning her Persona. The scientists have been robbed of a lot of body heat, though they are unaware that this is because they've been encased in ice for the duration of the Dark Hour. However, paramedics find that Mitsuru's in an even worse condition, shivering like anything and struggling to stay out of a coma. She tries to tell them what she saw, but they don't believe her. Instead, they deduce that Mitsuru has somehow suffered the effects of hypothermia, and rush her to the hospital. Unable to rely on their own CEO's words and unaware that she's speaking the truth, the Kirijo Group are left perplexed as to how the whole of Gin City's population had started to lose body heat, with some falling seriously ill because of this. However, more and more Persona users are beginning to find out the truth. There are two different factions of such people, though: the Strega, who had their Persona instilled into their bodies and must force them out, and those whose Persona had awakened naturally, and formed a group called the CASA (Collective Agency of Shadow Annihilation for short). The Strega want to reveal the truth to the Gin City population by keeping the Shadows alive, whereas the CASA can't afford to keep the Shadows alive, for they may cause an extinction of all humans across the Earth. Will the Strega get their chance to reveal the truth to the people who do not wield Personae, and thus cannot witness the Dark Hour for themselves? Can the CASA destroy all the Shadows before they cause extensive damage? Why do the Shadows intend to cause humans' extinction? And how can their Arcana brethren possibly be stopped in their tracks?
You know the standard YCM Rules, and those stated in the Advanced Clause. I shouldn't have to display either of them. But if you break any of those rules, I won't hesitate to give you two strikes instead of one. Any arguments must be solved quickly, or all offending personnel will be striked... or if the argument is with me or Hydra, on the other hand (not sure why you'd want to argue with the latter since he's a mod, but anyway), the OTHER offending personnel will be striked. My word shall be treated as The Ten Commandments at all times, as shall Hydra's. Please let us know if you're unable to post/decide to quit due to any RL issues. Otherwise, keep as active as possible, I'd rather have this RP come to a true end. If you haven't bothered to make a single post in 96 hours, you'll be striked for it. The number of characters you may app for is only limited by the number that you feel you have the balls to operate. However, if you randomly introduce a new Persona user in the RP, be sure to set to work on apping for that character immediately. You only have one shot for characters apped this way, and if either Hydra or I disapprove of the app, I'll make sure the character dies, even if I have to GM my way into such an event. This'll also happen if you refuse to app for the character or don't manage to finish it within 96 hours. Characters you create cannot personally know a canon character or have any relations to one; including but not limited to relatives or friends of any kind, students or apprentices or alternate timeline characters. I will allow created characters to be inspired by or have interacted with a canon character, however. Other than that, have some well-regulated fun... the best kind

This spoiler is pretty much proof that I'm keeping an eye on all candidates here. And no, I'd rather not see any names up here... in all seriousness. But if you break a rule, your name will be up here with a strike, and if it already is, an additional strike will be added. Oh, and if you bìtch about being on the watchlist I will NOT hesitate to throw in another strike for you. You have been warned. Key: Strike 1: Meh, I'll probably just shake my head and wag my finger at you Strike 2: You must pay me a +1 Rep before you continue. If you don't, we move on to Strike 3 Strike 3: A temporary ban from the IC Thread that'll last for 24 hours. Break the ban and it's on to Strike 4 Strike 4: Congratulations, you've officially pissed me off. Your reward: A 72 hour ban from both IC Thread and OoC Thread alike. Push it just a lil further to Strike 5... I dare you. Strike 5: That's the last straw! Permaban from the RP followed by a report to the mod (either that or I'll let Hydra decide what to do with you from this point, one or the other)
None, let's keep it that way

Personae are reflections of one's inner self that are amplified on a larger outer-body scale. They are ethereal in nature, and lay in hibernation inside their bearer's body. When forced out of their bearer's body, the Personae will fight off the Shadows for him or her and can use a variety of skills to do so. However, they can only stay out of their human bearer's body for 30 seconds, before they must return and recharge. Recharging doesn't take long however; in fact, the Personae can instantly be resummoned to resume fighting within a single second after successfully returning to the bearer's body. All Personae have Arcana which reflect their bearer's personality. To summon a Persona, the bearer must point a device called an Evoker to their skull and fire it. Evokers are normally silver in colour and built to resemble pistols. However, some Evokers are known have custom paint-jobs, as well as differently designed chambers, handles and trigger mechanisms. Some even have logos in various places.

I'll be honest... this is just something I completely made up on the spot. But there's a good reason I did that; so no-one tries to make their Personae overpowered. So how does this Elemental Management Value work, exactly? Well, let me pitch it too you: what you do is take a type chart from an in-game Persona (or make one for a custom), assign the numbers -1 to weaknesses, 1 to resistances, 2 to immunities, 3 to reflects and 4 to absorbs, and add all those numbers up. And there you have your Elemental Management Value. Let's take Shiva, for example, and compare his Persona 3 type chart with his Persona 4 type chart. With the Persona 4 type chart, we see that he absorbs Ice Skills and reflects Electricity Skills, but has no weakness or resistances to anything else. So if we assign 4 to its single absorb and 3 to its single reflect, and then add the two numbers together (4 + 3), we see that Shiva's Elemental Management Value is 7. If you observed the Application Details section, I would've said that the Elemental Management Value for all Personae can't be greater than 5, or 6 in the case of Ultimate Personae, so let's compare his Persona 3 type chart now. With this, we see that Shiva now resists Dark Skills, is immune to Pierce and Light Skills, absorbs Electricity Skills and is weak against Ice Skills. So that's 1 for its resistance, 2 for each of its immunities, 4 for absorb like before and -1 for its sole weakness. Adding them together (1 + 2 + 2 + 4 - 1) gives us a net total of 8, which is higher than what we got for the Persona 4 type chart. That should give you an idea which type charts you must stick with for the Persona you wish to use, if you can use any of those type charts at all.

There are a total of 22 Arcana that Personae can fall under. They are as follows: Fool Magician Priestess Empress Emperor Hierophant Lovers Chariot Justice Hermit Fortune Strength Hanged Man Death Temperance Devil Tower Star Moon Sun Judgement The World Unfortunately, there are not enough in-game Personae that fall under The World, and the vast majority of those that fall under Judgement are above Level 70, so both of those two Arcana are off-limits. However, you can still run any of the other Arcana that you wish.

All the available skills that can be run in this RP can be found here, excluding Re Patra, Recarm, Samarecarm, Rebellion, Revolution, Fire Break, Ice Break, Elec Break, Wind Break, Foul Breath, Stagnant Air, Black Viper, Morning Star and any Special, Passive, Tactical or Fusion skills, BUT... and this is a big but, just because I've given you a big list of Skills that can be run doesn't you can start off with all the powerful ones right off the bat, no soiree. This is the list of skills that you can actually run at the beginning of the RP: Cleave Zan-ei Getsu-ei Mighty Swing Fatal End Bash Assault Dive Sonic Punch Kill Rush Double Fangs Holy Arrow Cruel Attack Agi Maragi Agilao Bufu Mabufu Bufula Zio Mazio Zionga Garu Magaru Garula Hama Mudo Dia Media Diarama Patra Charmdi Enradi Posumudi Tarukaja Rakukaja Sukukaja Tarunda Rakunda Sukunda Evil Touch Pulinpa Bewilder Poisma Marin Karin Provoke If your Persona(e) doesn't know any of these skills, you can downgrade one or more of the ones that it does know so that it's at the rank necessary (for example, if you have Abaddon as your Persona (not as your Ultimate Persona though), you can downgrade his Evil Smile into Evil Touch, and his Weary Thrust into Bash, Assault Dive, Sonic Punch or Kill Rush). However, if your Persona knows a skill on the list, but not an upgraded version, you must stick to what the Persona knows (i.e. you can't turn Orpheus' Dia into Media or Diarama)

So you've looked at the skills currently on the list and you don't happen to see the one that you wanted to use. Well, you're in luck. After each Dark Hour event, you can upgrade 1 spells your Persona(e) knows and add a new spell that your Persona (or one of them if you have 2) knows to your list of spells if you want to. If you don't (or can't), you can upgrade a 2nd spell in your inventory instead. However, Skills have a specific order in which they upgrade, and this is how this order rolls: Cleave --> Zan-ei/Getsu-ei/Mighty Swing/Fatal End --> Tempest Slash --> Heaven's Blade Zan-ei/Getsu-ei/Mighty Swing/Fatal End --> Blade of Fury/Deathbound --> Vorpal Blade Bash/Assault Dive/Sonic Punch --> Kill Rush --> Swift Strike/Heat Wave --> Akasha Arts Kill Rush --> Gigantic Fist --> Weary Thrust --> Akasha Arts Weary Thrust --> God's Hand Double Fangs --> Twin Shot/Torrent Shot --> Arrow Rain --> Myriad Arrows Holy Arrow --> Cruel Attack --> Vile Assault --> Primal Force --> Pralaya Agi --> Maragi --> Maragion --> Maragidyne Agi --> Agilao --> Agidyne --> Ragnarok Agilao --> Maragion Agidyne --> Maragidyne Bufu --> Mabufu --> Mabufula --> Mabufudyne Bufu --> Bufula --> Bufudyne --> Niflheim Bufula --> Mabufula Bufudyne --> Mabufudyne Zio --> Mazio --> Mazionga --> Maziodyne Zio --> Zionga --> Ziodyne --> Thunder Reign Zionga --> Mazionga Ziodyne --> Maziodyne Garu --> Magaru --> Magarula --> Magarudyne Garu --> Garula --> Garudyne --> Panta Rhei Garula --> Magarula Garudyne --> Magarudyne Hama --> Mahama/Hamaon --> Mahamaon --> Samara Mudo --> Mamudo/Mudoon --> Mamudoon --> Die for Me! Ultimate Personae are exempt from this rule.

After your Initial Persona has learnt all the skills it can (even the ones that it can't learn in Persona 3 itself, but other Shin Megami Tensei games as well) and upgraded them all to their highest form, you may evolve that Initial Persona into your Ultimate Persona, who then gains all the Skills that it can normally learn in-game (once again, even the ones that it can't learn in Persona 3 itself, but other Shin Megami Tensei games as well) at their natural forms. I don't want anyone's Initial Persona to evolve before the Star Shadow is defeated, so some of those custom Personae better not have too few skills if they're meant to be Initial Personae, especially ones that don't take long to fully upgrade, or I'll start "kindly" adding Skills >:{)

The Dark Hour is an event that takes place at midnight each day on the dot. At that time, the people (that don't run Personae) and buildings become literally encased in ice, and time seems to stop in its tracks. In addition, the Hanged Horse Park becomes Hel, a gargantuan chasm that runs deep into the core of the Earth, which the Shadows come out of. During Full Moons, the Shadows come out of Hel at their most abundant, usually accompanied by one of the few Arcana Shadows. As Persona users continue to fight the Shadows, whether by using their weapons or by summoning their Personae, they begin to grow more tired, and the chilling effects of The Dark Hour start to catch up with them. When the Dark Hour begins to draw to a close, any Shadows that are neither currently attacking nor under attack will return to Hel, before everything returns to normal. To speed things up, normal school events and Full Moon operations will run similarly to night and day (with Full Moon operations taking place at night for obvious reasons). Yes, I know Full Moons don't occur that often, but it'll take too long to do things properly, and that'll only result in this RP dying out of everyone's boredom. Considering how much work I've put into describing all this stuff that might need to be known, we can't allow that to happen now, can we?

The Shadows are beings of pure, negative emotion and energy, that seek to lay about an extinction of mankind. They only make their existence known during The Dark Hour, and even then, mortal humans never get the chance to see them. Only the bearers of Personae can see the Shadows and stop their acts at this stage. Unlike Personae, only the most powerful of Shadows have Arcana. However, each of these Shadows are immensely powerful, so much so that fighting them one on one will only result in certain, usually rapid death, especially by ones foolish enough to underestimate them. Currently, there are 8 Shadow with Arcana. One bears the Temperance Arcana, another bears the Devil Arcana, another the Tower Arcana, Star Arcana, Moon Arcana, Sun Arcana, Judgement Arcana and finally, The World Arcana. I will update the status of the Arcana Shadows as the RP progresses, and they will be fought in order of Arcana No., leaving The World Shadow to be the final boss before the RP draws to a close (a few posts of celebrating this feat can be made first). To see the status of an Arcana Shadow, click on the appropriate spoiler below, and all the details, if any are to be made, will be revealed. Everyone else must be 21 or older) Time Since Activation: (Anti-Shadow Weapons Only) Allegiance: CASA/Strega Arcana: (See Arcana in the Things You May Need to Know section for available Arcana. More than 1 character can have the same Arcana, but I won't hesitate to disallow apps for an Arcana that's being swarmed like anything. Also, keep in mind that you cannot select Personae with a different Arcana than the one you have listed here) Class: Junior/Senior/Teacher (CASA Only) Day Job: (Strega only. You may choose any job that isn't related to school, whether it be a construction worker, a computer consultant, a lawyer or even a business tycoon, OR if you want your Strega member to be a university or college student instead of a high school student, you can. You'll have to state the degree that the Strega member is studying for, however) Appearance: (I expect to see 6 lines of text at the very least, although you're more than welcome to delve into the appearance bit more. You may also present a pic to go with your text if you like, but if you do, please place it in a spoiler so I don't have to, and make sure to describe the elements that can't be seen in the pic only, so we don't have to try to imagine anything different to what the pic displays. Oh, and be sure to include a height figure) Personality: (6 lines is enough I feel, as a minimum. It shouldn't be too much for anyone good to sum up. Whatever you do though, don't try and cheat by putting in describing a bit about the fighting style or summoning style. They have their own categories) Biography: (I will not accept anything less than 10 full lines, no matter what the situation. Seriously, it's a biography, it should be able to come off at a decent length. If you want to split those 10 lines into 2 paragraphs, that's fine by me. Make sure to include how your character's first experience with The Dark Hour, and perhaps fighting off the Shadows for the first time) Weapon of Choice: (You can use anything that would've been found and utilized as a weapon before gunpowder was invented. That means you can use swords, flails, axes, spears, bows, even the mighty War Hammer if you're so inclined. If you're using a weapon that maybe unfamiliar to other YCM members, you may wish to include a wikia page. This will not only give us an idea on what it is and how to use it, but it should also help you prove to me that weapon would've been around before gunpowder was invented. You can also choose to use a firearm, but only if you're controlling an Anti-Shadow Weapon. You can PM me beforehand if you wish to control one, but I will only allow so many Anti-Shadow Weapons.) Damage Element: Slash/Strike/Pierce (Be sensible. Sure, some swords are capable of piercing, but clubs can only ever strike, even if they're embedded with spikes, and if you're trying to do anything but slash with an axe, you're using it wrong ) Fighting Style: (How exactly your character goes about using his/her weapon. I'll be fair: you have a minimum of 4 lines to describe your character's fighting style. That should be plenty) Evoker & Summoning Style: (The colour and/or appearance of your character's Evoker, and how he/she uses it to summon his/her Persona(e). You have the same 4 line limit as before, except this time, I've at least allowed you to customize your Evoker a bit) Initial List of Skills: (You can choose up to 5 Skills from each Persona you control (so that's 5 for 1 Persona and 10 for 2 Personae) on the condition that you only use spells that your Personae actually know. If you use 2 Personae, please label which Persona can use which Skill by placing the name of the Persona in brackets. Oh, and for a list of spells you can use, check the Available Skills in the Things You May Need to Know) Initial/Primary Persona: (The name of your Initial Persona, or Primary Persona if you choose to have two. If you do use two Personae, neither of them can evolve. Also, you cannot use a Persona that has an Arcana that differs from the one you've selected (this goes for both Personae if your character has two of them), and if it's an in-game Persona, its Level cannot be above Level 70 (this goes for Ultimate Personae as well, but if you can see a variant of the Persona you want for any Shin Megami Tensei game that isn't above Level 70, you can use said Persona). This rule is in place so no-one goes for the mighty Lucifer or Messiah) Appearance: (If you can find a suitable pic, use it, otherwise write up at least 6 lines of text, keeping in mind that this if for your character's Persona rather than the character himself... or herself. This is more important for custom Personae than in-game Personae, but if you have the latter, you can still opt to fill this field out anyway. If not, disregard it) Elemental Strengths & Weaknesses: (Which elements your character's Persona is strong against, can block, reflect and absorb or is weak against. If you're using an in-game Persona, I recommend you stick to the type charts provided in the Shin Megami Tensei games if you're new to Persona as a whole, but note that you can use any type chart if multiple are provided. YCM members that are more experienced with the Persona series may use a custom type chart instead, which I will accept as long as it makes sense. Personae must have at least one weakness and no more than 3 resistances, none of which may be Almighty, and its Elemental Management Value must be 5 or less (more information on the Elemental Management Value can be found in the Things You May Need to Know section). If an in-game Persona can learn a skill that gives it a resistance to a specific element, you may treat the Persona as if it already knows that skill, as long as it doesn't already have 3 resistances on its own and would still have at least one weakness even after applying that skill, and the resistance that skill gives doesn't bring the Elemental Management Value to anything greater than 5) Ultimate/Secondary Persona: (The name of your Ultimate Persona, or Secondary Persona if you choose to have two. You can disregard this field and the two below completely if you want. However, I personally wouldn't recommend it unless you have a powerful Persona like Cybele) Appearance: (See Appearance below Initial/Primary Persona) Elemental Strengths & Weaknesses: (Just rinse and repeat from above, but keep in mind that this segment is for your Ultimate or Secondary Persona, whereas the above is for the Initial or Primary Persona. That's the reason why you see this thing twice. The Ultimate Persona still cannot resist Almighty, but it's Elemental Management Value maybe increased to 6, it can have an unlimited amount of resistances, and you do not need to give it a weakness if you don't want to. However, it must share the same resistances as your Initial Persona at the very least (although those resistances maybe weakened if desired), and cannot acquire different weaknesses unless it can learn a skill that can eliminate said weaknesses. In such a case, pretend it already knows those skills.) Theme Song: (A music score that you believe would suit your character nicely)

The principal of Middle Garden Academy, who is somehow able to traverse within The Dark Hour without being frozen, despite not appearing to have a Persona. One theory that might explain this phenomenon is that Ryoji Mochizuki isn't actually a human being, but a Shadow by the name of Thanatos, disguised as a human being. Another dictates he once served as the Avatar of Nyx in a previous life, and was given such an ability as a reward for his services. Which of these theories is true, if any of them are, is unknown at this stage. What is known is that Ryoji is literally a walking mass of mystery. Is he hiding a dark, brooding self behind his friendly demeanour? Does he truly want the CASA to succeed? Controlled by Admiral_Stalfos19 (i.e. myself) NOTES: For those of you who're wanting to state his proper background... I know it already. The reason why I've worded it like I have is because the only characters that are meant to know Ryoji's proper background at the beginning of the RP are Mitsuru and Junpei since he reveals this to SEES in the game of Persona 3, and Igor because he knows everything about Personae and Shadows. Other characters will have to talk to either of them, or overhear/listen to someone who already has, before they can learn of Ryoji's proper background.

The CEO of the Kirijo Group, who took over said company because her father lost his life, the cause of which was rumoured to be an illness of some sort. Mitsuru Kirijo unfortunately remains in the hospital at this stage and is currently being treated for hypothermia, but she remains adamant that she's merely shaken up by the events of The Dark Hour. Mitsuru has been working on a new type of Evoker; one that resembles a sawn-off shotgun to an extent, rather than a pistol like the others, and is designed to summon multiple Personae that share the same body. So far, the only known prototype for this kind of Evoker is wielded by Xiva Vulzah. If she can ever get out of the hospital and be sent on her way, Mitsuru will help by repairing faulty Evokers, and can even aid the CASA directly via analysing Shadows, specifically the Arcana Shadows, and fighting when need be. Her Persona, Artemisia, is bound to be a formidable ally. Uncontrolled at this point NOTES: If you're controlling Mitsuru and you wish for her to leave the hospital, you'll have to PM me for permission first. At the moment, I plan to have her released just in time to help fight the Tower Shadow, but negotiations for an earlier time period can be arranged.

An old-looking hunched-back man, who can only ever be found in a place that is known as the Velvet Room. Igor has a vast knowledge of Personae and Shadows; in fact, this knowledge is vast that if a certain question of the subjects could ever be answered, Igor would likely be the one to heed the answer that one would be looking for. He can also summon any Persona user to the Velvet Room itself, but he will only do so if he urgently needs to talk to the user that he intends on summoning, and can send anyone inside the Velvet Room back to where they originally were before they were there. However, he's not the type to dismiss people until they themselves wish to return to the real world. He also has a male assistant called Theodore, who stays at his side in the Velvet Room. Controlled by Hydra of Clocks NOTES: At the moment, I've decided to give Hydra control of Igor for now since his Persona knowledge is better than mine to be honest, but if he wants to relinquish that position, you may offer to take his place. However, if you have doubts about your own Persona knowledge, then I recommend you leave Igor to the professionals. Incompetence is not an option, I'm afraid.

A police officer who has recently been transferred to Gin City to keep an eye on the place as a night patrol-man. Although limited in power due to being unable to summon a Persona, Officer Kurosawa can at least observe the Strega's action, which he does because he doesn't trust that they'll be up to any good. He may also relay some of the information he has to the CASA, although this'll mostly be as a warning. Her right eye remains hidden by her hair, but if one does manage to catch a glimpse of it, it becomes obvious that she suffers from heterochromia. The iris of Xiva's right eye is blood red, but the pupil blindingly glows a poison green, and is expanded vertically to resemble that which maybe found in the eyes of a reptile. The right eye is also lined with small steel spikes that are arranged to appear as eyelashes. Xiva has a peculiar birthmark that looks similar to a well-designed tattoo. This covers her entire back, and glows cyan at times, most notably during the Dark Hour where it seems to protect her in a way. The dress she wears is of an open-back design and mostly thinly veiled, but for obvious reasons, the dress' fabric is thicker where it covers her breasts and just above her hips down the mid-section of her upper legs. Xiva naturally stands at 6' 1", out-heightening the vast majority of women as she is, but the high heels she wears most of the time extend her height to 6' 4". Personality: Severe autism has taken a strong hold of Xiva's life over the years, and even now, it still takes a hold of her train of thought. Sure, she can make split-second decisions with ease, but her ability to decide between multiple outcomes diminishes rapidly when she's forced to think things through. Another problem that comes with her severe autism is her inability to handle sudden changes without concern, worry or panic, such as a sudden change of topic in a conversation, or a sudden change to her daily routines. Xiva dreads unpredictable enemies for this reason. She also portrays her emotions rather weakly, if at all, and all one will receive from an unamused Xiva is a cold, blank stare. Xiva has an aura around her that tends to make people uneasy about going near her, much less talk to her, and this is mostly because of that demonic-looking right eye of hers. However, if one can get past that, as well as her unorthodox habits of keeping her ninjato at her side at all times as well as refusing to remove her piercings for "spiritual reasons", it's more than possible to gain a strong relationship with her. Biography: For the past 3 years of her life, Xiva Vulzah has always been teaching Japanese History at Middle Garden Academy. Awkward glances from the staff had never stopped her, as she never wished to make friends with anyone. Her sole purpose was to teach, and if that meant she had to sacrifice any form of relationship, then so be it as far as she was concerned. Still, a lot of complaints were made about her by quite a few different teachers, like how she seemed ill-concerned about the students' dress standards and such, the proclaimed "facts" that she has piercings and a tattoo, which the teachers would often mistake her birthmark for, and even later on bringing a weapon to the school grounds. However, showing concern about her well-being, Ryoji Mochizuki, the principal of Middle Garden Academy, dismissed every single one of these complaints and allowed Xiva to continue teaching at the Academy. It wasn't until before the start of her fourth year of teaching that Xiva got to witness The Dark Hour at hand. Ironically, it was exactly the same day as Mitsuru Kirijo and a group of scientists ventured into Gin City. Xiva's birthmark glowed a bright cyan for the duration of The Dark Hour, protecting her from its effect while she watched Mitsuru fend off the Shadows from a distance, unable to do anything to aid her for the moment. After a while, though, Xiva suddenly remembered that her grandfather's ninjato that was used in the Edo Period was hung over her fireplace at home, and rushed back to get it, only to note that the entire building was encased in solid ice. Eventually, the ice melted, allowing her to go inside and get it, but by the time she got back, the fighting was over, and Mitsuru was already administrated inside the hospital. That was were Xiva got her Evoker from, although Mitsuru warned her that it was only a prototype. Xiva then went on to fend off whatever Shadows came out the next Dark Hour, unaware that she'd be in for the fight of her life. Two powerful Shadows stormed in out of Hel and after Xiva, who struggled to dodge their attacks and fight back, even with both her Personae summoned for the occasion. The Shadows had managed to knock her down, and were just about to finish her off when they were stopped cold in their tracks, and destroyed by Thanatos. Xiva opened her eyes at this time, only to see Ryoji's face once again. The next day, while Xiva was at hospital recovering from that night, Ryoji decided to found the CASA, or the Collective Agency of Shadow Annihilation for short, appointing Xiva to lead the CASA when she got back. It was kept as CASA, and was portrayed as a Self Defence group to limit the number of students that would actually be interested, Ryoji only hoping to attract the students that had Personae. But Xiva, the appointed leader of the CASA, would likely reveal its true purpose, hoping to arm the Persona users that attended to defeat the Shadows once and for all. Weapon of Choice: Ninjato Damage Element: Slash Fighting Style: When wielding her ninjato, Xiva uses one hand and one hand only, and will rarely bring the other hand anywhere near the sword. Whichever hand she uses at the time depends on the occasion. Despite her inexperience with the ninjato, Xiva manages to swing it gracefully and elegantly, but slowly. However, what she lacks in speed, she makes up for by putting a lot of power behind her swings. Xiva is never the aggressor; in truth, she won't even strike until an enemy, Shadow or Strega, gets within arms' reach, and won't make a step towards the enemy. Evoker & Summoning Style: Xiva has a more powerful Evoker than normal, which allows her to summon both her Personae at the same time. This Evoker resembles a sawn-off shotgun to an extent, whereas the normal Evokers resemble pistols, but it's still the same silver colour. Xiva will usually hold her Evoker behind her back and tilt it forward so it's aimed at the back of her head, before closing her eyes and tapping her chest 4 times in a cross-shaped fashion, then pulling the trigger. This way, when her Personae are forced out of her body, they lurch forward, so they can stand between Xiva and her enemies. However, if Xiva needs to summon her Personae more quickly, she won't hesitate to bring her Evoker right up to her face. He has short, spiky brown hair and bright green eyes. His eyes turn red at Dark Hour for an unknown reason. He always wears black t-shirts, with logos of many heavy metal bands and a leather jacket with a patch for every concert he has attended, also, he wears blue jeans and flat shoes, mainly Converse-like shoes. His face has some freckles, that aren't really visible at plain sight, but he freaks out if somepony points them out. He also wears tattoo sleeves on both arms: His left arm has a tombstone with a skeleton climbing out, and skulls all around it, while his right arm has an electric guitar with a snake around it. He carries a big black guitar case, in which he hides his claymore. Personality: If Markus needed to be described in a single word, that word would be "complicated". When around people he knows, he acts funny, while around strangers he acts polite, too much for a normal person. This is because he feels like he needs to be liked by everybody. When alone, he just sits in his computer all day, listening to music or playing on the guitar. He barely speaks if not around people. On the inside, he is really insecure and feels everybody stabs him in the back while he is not around, even if it's not true. This causes him to have psychotic outbreaks, breaking everything in sight, with flashes of him thinking of escaping or, on worst cases, suicide. These last thoughts were never made into action, except for once, when he sliced his wrist multiple times, only to end in the Emergency Room with severe bleeding. He is also closed about these thoughts, since trying to mention them would end up in people laughing at him (according to himself). Still, he manages to act happy with the people he likes, and being extremely chivalrous with girls. Biography: Markus has always liked to share time with his friends, although he had been troubled by something. Since he was a kid, his dream was to be a famous guitar player. He took guitar lessons for 6 years. Still, when he had a self caused accident with a razor blade, he was forbidden from using his guitar. This made him even madder, since that was the only thing that calmed him when he had a psychotic break. Two week later, he made a plan: he managed to take the guitar to school and keep it there. He stole the school basement and the entrance school key and made two copies for himself. This allowed him to enter and leave school at any time in the night, avoiding the guards, and play in the basement for the night until, ten or eleven o'clock. One day, he was at school particularly late, almost at midnight, playing his guitar. As the clock hit 12, he almost drops his guitar at what happened. The entire basement was frozen, and at the reflection of the ice he saw his eyes gleam red as blood instead of his usual green color. As he ventured outside school, every guard was also frozen solid, as well as every building nearby. He saw Shadows were fighting a woman nearby. Was it...Mitsuro, wasn't it? The CEO of the Kirijo group? Why was she fighting those...things? He approached carefully and saw her fend them off one by one. Still, he saw the Shadows defeat her after an hour maybe, his clocked had stopped working. Right then, everything just snapped back to normal: Mitsuro's crew had fallen to the ground, and Mitsuro was unconscious. It happened so fast that Markus fell on his butt, onto something hard. Upon inspection, it was an Evoker. He thought it would be good to keep it (even if he didn't know how it appeared on the ground just like that) for the next Dark Hour. When the clock hit 12 the next night, he was ready: armed with a Claymore, bought some time before online, and his Evoker on his back pocket, already customized black with a silver skeleton on top. Everything froze like the night before, and a Shadow appeared. Markus pointed the Evoker inside his mouth and summoned his Persona, the Pale Rider. It was a rather short battle, since that particular Shadow was weak per se, so he only had to call Pale Rider twice in order to destroy it. After those events, Markus kept hearing rumors about some school called the CASA...something about Shadow Annihilation? He wished to learn more about this, but nobody he knew was aware of it's location. Maybe ask a teacher? (the IC would begin from here) Weapon of Choice: Claymore Damage Element: Slash Fighting Style: Markus charges holding the claymore down, and slashes upwards, delivering spinning horizontal slashes until he tires, in that case, he needs to rest the sword, leaving him in a vulnerable spot for a moment. He might drop the sword while trying to slash, since his skills aren't too sharp yet, so he doesn't swing it hard. While resting the sword, he is left with hand-to-hand combat, which he is specially good at, from a prior study of Kickboxing, he hits hard and fast, since he isn't tied to the huge sword anymore. He uses his sword in an unorthodox way, for example, as a shield while horizontal or flailing it at an opponent to break the opponent's defense. Evoker & Summoning Style: Markus's Evoker is a bit different than others, but only in looks: It is build off a black revolver which has a decorative silver skull as the chamber. Behind the chamber, on the handle, it is shaped as a human skeleton, arms pointed behind at the user. Markus likes the idea of shooting himself over and over in the skull, so he does it on what he calls "the cool way": He puts the gun inside his mouth with his right hand, makes the metal hand sign with his left, and shoots upwards while humming Marche Funebre. If it needs to be done quickly, he just points at the side of his head and shoots. Lengthwise the longest layer almost reaches the small of her back and the shortest is no more than a few inches. Its primary color is platinum blonde. The longest layer (the bottom layer) is black. The left half of her elegant face is typically covered by the curtain of her bangs. Though having seemingly flawless skin, it is an unnatural pale color, as if she's never in the sun. Her amber eyes, though very soft, can become sharp as razors when upset or angered. She sometimes wears non prescription grey colored contact lenses to prevent her eyes from offsetting her hair and skin colors. Her attire is sporadic, ranging from brightly colored tank tops and spaghetti straps to floral short sun dresses, skin tight jeans to form fitting skirts. It is not uncommon to see her wearing heels, pumps or sandals besides her normal tennis shoes. Jackets include a thin, maroon feminine pea-coat, hoodies, and cardigans. She has no tattoos or scars, but does have a piercing in her right eyebrow. Her accessories are a black, velvet lace fingerless glove on her right hand and a box chain necklace with no pendant worn has a bracelet on her left wrist. She is a slender petite female, only weighing 105 pounds at a height of 5'2". Personality: A bit of a loner, she doesn't feel the need to socialize with others. Rather, if she believes someone won't be an adequate, long term friend, Jaz sees no point in making short acquaintances. She loves to manipulate, however, when possible, unafraid of using her looks to achieve it. Having her way at all times is not that important to her, but what is important is that an end suffices her desires. Her looks are high on her list of priorities sadly, and despises when her flaws are displayed in front of her by others. Upon getting to know her, one can call her a hypocrite. She dislikes the needy and the pious, when she is in denial of her own emotional needs and only has faith in the randomness and chaotic animosity of the world and can be rather judgmental. When she is socializing, Jaz is a very charismatic person and is able to enjoy herself, displaying her dry, sarcastic sense of humor and a friendly demeanor. Making a friendship with her is hardly a mistake but can be taxing. Though she is very faithful, Jaz can be a bit unskilled when it comes to the limits of social interaction and relation and the expression of emotion and sympathy. Despite her flaws of character, she can be an uplifting and caring friend. Biography: Somehow, the phrase "Hell has frozen over" didn't quite cut it. The streets, the buildings, the cars, everything was frozen, completely cased in sheets of ice, yet, it was not cold. In no way was it cold. Jaz walked over the ice, which surprisingly wasn't slippery, and touched a frozen wind chime on her front porch. Was this a dream? She had awoken from an eerie wailing outside her room. Raising herself from her bed, she hesitantly looked outside her window, and saw what appeared to be a winter wonderland. Slipping into some warmer attire, she proceeded to exiting her house. When she walked outside, she saw what had really become the surface. The wailing had passed, but she still searched the icy plains. She didn't know why she searched. In truth, she wished she'd stayed in her room, stayed in her bed. Maybe she did firmly believe in a dream, after all, how can the world she knew freeze over seamlessly in the night? She had reached what she believed to be the park and underneath a tree, Jaz could've sworn she'd seen a figure. A strike of sheer unfiltered fear ran down her spine. This figure was black as the shadows it hid in and was completely misshapen. Its eyes were empty and seemed to know every awful thing that's taken place in this world, and they were staring into her. She opened her mouth and screamed a scream that no one but the Shadow heard, but to its ears it was a harmonious symphony. She ran home, and by the time she closed the door to her room, the world was in its normalcy. She looked at her digital clock, 12:01 a.m. blaring in the darkness of her room. The month after the first event had seemed normal enough, despite what she understood as the hour between 12 and 12:01 a.m.. During the normal day and her time with friends or at school she completely hid her fears, for no one seemed to be perturbed by anything other than normalcy, much less of the world freezing over and fiends walking freely about the icy landscape. But during the frozen hour, Jaz held herself underneath her sheets, shutting her eyes, hoping the mangled shadow wasn't peering into her window. She wanted it gone. She wanted the frozen wasteland and the mangled shadow gone. Weapon of Choice: Court Sword (a decorated short sword) Damage Element: Slash Fighting Style: Because Jaz is a small female, she cannot wield most metal weaponry, such as a normal sword or axe, but with her Court Sword, she is able to sprint up to her enemies and make quick, decisive strikes, having high accuracy. Because her weapon is relatively weak in comparison to others, Jaz rarely strikes only once upon a successful attack, landing two or three slashes with each attack. Along with the advantage of having a lighter weapon, combined with her lithe body, Jaz has a margin of a greater chance than most to dodge oncoming enemy attacks, which she savors greatly due to her frail body's weak defense and resilience. Defense is nowhere near her strong suit. Her teammates should be wary of her, for when she is hit, Jaz is more susceptible than most to fall to the ground, and may need assistance to recover. Evoker & Summoning Style: Jaz's Evoker is a black 1836 Colt Patterson Revolver. It is polished to appear to have a mirror like surface. Etched into both sides of the handle and both sides of the barrel, are beautiful hand-designed vinyl floral designs, which Jaz simply adores. When Jaz is summoning her persona, she bites her lip and closes her eyes. Brings the revolver at on off angle to her right temple, Jaz whispers a phrase foronly herself to hear, and pulls the trigger. When in haste, she yells for the aid of her persona and leans her head over to her left side, placing the end of the barrel under her exposed jaw bone, pulling the trigger. In both cases, the force of the blast knocks her head in the direction of the shot and recoils her hand, though she does not let go of her Evoker. One eye is a piercing azure, while the other is orange lined with crimson. His mechanical body form is very similar to Aigis', with a a plain metal layer of white and with gold outlining the areas where his arms and legs extend from the torso. He also has a second shell that looks much more like a human torso, which he wears on most days to avoid anyone figuring out he's a mechanical being. From a glance, he seems decently muscled, and without much excessive body fat. His outfit usually consists of a T-shirt with an anime mecha design upon it, accompanied by a pair of black pants and tennis shoes. On colder days, it may become accompanied by a grey hoodie. Although Kaito doesn't exactly seem the sort to add accessories to his outfits, he does have a number of personal items he keeps on his person. One of these is a pair of small silver headphones, which he can be found wearing around his neck at any given time, except when he "sleeps." Also among those things are a pin badge with the image of a intricate golden wing made of metal, and a pedant with a bullet-shaped piece of platinum on it. These objects are of sentimental value for Kaito, and he always keeps them close, almost as if he feared for their disappearance. Personality: Being built on a similar (but improved) model to Aigis, Kaito has less of the “no emotion” problem. Unfortunately, building an AI system with perfect emotional status is still difficult at best, and Kaito lacks sentiment in several areas his engineers deemed as weaknesses. Thus, he has no sense of fear or greed and lacks rage as well. He has a somewhat watered-down sense of pride, which may as well be non-existent, seeing as he has yet to find anything he can feel pride about. He also lacks a degree of understanding of things like love and happiness, as he never experienced a life with those feelings, no matter if they programmed him with such an capacity. Even so, his engineers made him with more emotion in mind, as they didn’t want him to end up as an inhuman killer. Admittedly, there are a few flaws, especially the fact that he has a few personality traits that were never part of the programming. For example, Kaito has an otaku-ishness to him and can often be fond listening to anime music or drawing manga-style . He also has a a tendency to mock threaten anyone he feels is bringing things away from the matter at hand with mortal injury, although he only does this when he's around people who know he's a anti-Shadow weapon. Biography: Kaito originates from one of the teams within the engineering branch of the Kirijo Group. Originally, the plan was to use Aigis' development plans to build another base model and then run various tests and such in order to create a updated android, which could then be used in order to develop more specialized forms for various tasks. Eventually, they finished with their base model and began to outfit it with various gear and things, but never actually activated it until one day, one of the engineers accidentally flipped on the power switch, jerking their creation to life. They hadn't intended to activate their creation so early, hoping to finish its primary form before the android's consciousness took hold, to prevent any radical incidents if the AI's survival instinct kicked in. As it was, they had to shut Kaito down into "hibernation" and conduct their project with him in that state. After they finally finished outfitting him with the gear, they collected the data, not yet intending to relase Kaito to the world just yet. That is, until Mitsuru had her deadly run-in with the Dark Hour. Although not believing her words, the Kirijo Group knew something had to be done, if only to confirm or disprove the claims of the Dark Hour's return. And so it came to pass that Kaito was finally awakened once more and brought to undergo a training regime in order for the days ahead. Initially, he was merely called by his model name, and not treated as an equal, per se. One day during the training, he expressed a feeling of emptiness and uncertainty to one of his creators, who, feeling sympathy for his plight, helped him select a more human name in order to forge his own identity. His current alias is the result of this effort, but Kaito still feels uncertain about whether or not he even knows himself. This thought has troubled him for quite some time. Upon his arrival to Gin City, Kaito was brought to Mitsuru in the hospital and given a brief debriefing of the Dark Hour. Surprisingly, he himself requested that he not be indentified as an anti-Shadow weapon to the other members of CASA except its leader. He did not give reasons for this, but was allowed to proceed with that direction. To this end, he was given an Evoker, which in truth would have no actual function if he shot himself, but would suffice for his facade of being human like the rest of CASA's members. He then experienced the Dark Hour firsthand when he was heading to his temprorary lodgings that night and found it encased in thick ice. Three minor Shadows assaulted him, but after a breif fight, they were repelled and dissapated. Weapon: Firearms. Like Aigis, Kaito has two small gatling guns that pop up from the insides of his wrists. He can also change his arm into a special mecha assault rifle as well as an arm-mounted cannon. Damage Element: Pierce Fighting Style: When in battle, Kaito has no permanently set style, but takes the measure most beneficial for the current situation. However, when using his gatling guns, he has a habit of taking to the air so that his bullets hail down on the hapless enemies below. If using his rifle, he'll try to keep some degree of distance between his enemies and himself for better aim. With his arm cannon, he charges straight in and fires at any range regardless. He's also programmed for hand to hand combat, and thus does not lack offense once/if he runs out of ammunition. Like Aigis, he can use Orgia Mode, also with the same drawbacks. He also has his own last-resort special mode (code name: Finale LIMIT), but it can heavily damage him upon usage due to the extremely high level power spike that this mode gives. Depending on whom he's fighting, his style will also change. If it's merely Shadows, he attacks with cold intensity and aims for weak spots the instant he gets aware of one. If he fights a human, as he did once during "training", Kaito becomes more cautious and aims to injure and disable, but not to kill unless ordered or it becomes absolutely necessary. Evoker & Summoning Style: Has a standard Evoker frame; that is, the silver pistol form. It has what seems to be musical notes on its casing on one side, while the other has what appears to be a sky with clouds overhead and a burst of lightning or some form or energy rising up and piercing through the clouds and into the sky. When "using" it, Kaito does in a manner similar to Jin Shirato: spining himself in a circle while raising the gun about 45 degrees overhead before coming back to his original position and bringing the gun to his head and pulling the trigger. In truth, this is merely a part of his masquerade, and Kaito really has no need for this sort of summoning procedure, having being programmed for other methods. His real summoning process has him tense for a split second, before throwing his body weight back upwards with arms outstretched while a blue mist rises around him. It is notable that his irises become violet at this instant and he loses all emotion to his voice until the summoning is complete. Her face is short and small, especially since much of it is covered by her ashen hair; her bangs are quite long and tend to obscure her blue eyes, which are outlined by a pair of rectangular blue glasses in any case. She changes her hair style quite often, but in general circumstances one can assume it'll be about down to the bottom of her shoulderblades, either tied into a ponytail down her back or otherwise bound, typically with a blue butterfly ornament. She is very fond of hair decorations, especially those that relate to butterflies, and can at times be seen wearing any number of them in any real arrangement. Izumi has a fairly athletic body, trim and muscular as one might expect a sports enthusiast to be. Her proportions are shaped largely for one interested in running and swimming, though she does have a certain amount of raw strength most other girls tend not to have. This is the result of participating in such a huge number of sports clubs: redundant training having led to a general increase in physical aptness for generally any situation. Despite being fairly strong, she is still dwarfed by many people her age, standing at 5'4. Even outside of school, Izumi tends to wear either her classroom uniform or a sports uniform of some sort, usually with a light blue coat (with a prominent butterfly decal woven into the back) worn over it. It rarely appears that she's taken an active interest in her own appearance, and she fails to mark special occasions by dressing up- all in all, she doesn't really seem to put any importance on what she wears, even when it leads to an awkward situation to those around her. Personality: Izumi is an interesting person. At first blush, people would assume she's exactly as she appears- a slightly eccentric, though cold, genius. Capable of achieving at pretty much anything she puts her mind to, Izumi tends to come off as frigid and distant to just about everyone. People who can't succeed like she can aren't worth her time- and even if you are on her level, she doesn't consider you a friend so much as she considers you an obstacle. A gauging stick for how good she's doing. No matter what Izumi is involved in, she considers it her duty to become the absolute best at it- she doesn't engage in bragging, nor does she tell people this, she simply does it. Even in team sports, she sets out to become the best player and win games without actually communicating with other people, leading to multiple stressed coaches attempting -and failing- to convey that even with her skills, she needs to get along with her team mates. All said, Izumi seems absolutely incapable of opening up ever. This is, of course, not the problem at all. Izumi is just bored. Being a prodigy is meaningless unless you have a goal. Izumi does not. Though she has enough talent to do basically anything, she doesn't actually want to do anything- except maybe get entrance in a foreign University and study there. Surely something interesting would come of that. Izumi sees people as two-dimensional, flat things; people who are too caught up in their own little simplistic worlds. Does basketball actually matter? Why are you basing your life around that? Goals are such simplistic things, and it always disappoints Izumi that everyone is worried about stupid transient things like that. Even worse are the slackers, the ones who don't have a goal nor try to do anything- they're worse because they don't even have a single dimension to define themselves by, and she doesn't even bother acknowledging them. Izumi feels stuck in a rut. Everything feels so stupid, so unimportant; when will something actually happen one of these days? Something she could get use from? Biography: Izumi moved to Gin City from the Tokyo Wards when she was ten years old, due to a change in the positions her parents held at their respective companies. While at the time she was a rather bright student and a quick learner in general, it wasn't until this time that her apathy began to set in; separated from her friends and other family over in Tokyo, she stopped caring much about socializing in general and directed most of her focus to her studies in general. She might have become a complete recluse if it wasn't for the first person who managed to break through her icy shell a few years later- a student in her elementary school a year ahead of her, named Kyo Miyamoto. Kyo was a slacker in every way that she wasn't, terrible at sports, and liable to fall asleep while the teacher lectured him at his desk. By all rights, she should have ignored his very existence -and she did- right until he started trying to talk to her. In those days, plenty of people tried to make friends with her and stopped when it became obvious she wasn't going to respond- but Kyo was different. Instead of getting mad when he was ignored, he just kept talking, occasionally leaving and coming back later. He never seemed surprised that she didn't talk back, but he wasn't insulting about it either. Rather, he was funny, thoughtful and even incredibly intelligent -even if he didn't try very much in class, it was obvious he was leagues ahead of everyone else in philosophy and literature, at the very least. Listening to him talk was interesting, and -never all at once, and slowly but surely- she started talking back. She was never very nice to him- in fact, she was rather rude. He never really seemed to care, and simply continued sharing his ideas with her- and eventually, she responded in kind, finally talking about the things she kept hidden deep within her and never really seemed to reveal. Izumi had dreams, often- of fantastic creatures, powerful beings from mythology and religion, that lay inside each and every person, giving a shape to their soul. She saw other things, too- strange shapes and creatures, and very often, a blue butterfly that seemed to represent what all this seemed to mean. Kyo listened to what she had to say, never really judging- he commented often, making links to exactly what mythos she was talking about at the moment and occasionally making sharp comments. But, of course, he didn't believe a word of it. He told her in the nicest possible terms that dreams were simply a result of the mind playing back information it had assembled in a way we couldn't entirely understand, generating images out of patterns that weren't really there. He explained how the idea of souls really was nonsense, and that myths, while interesting, were patently unreal. Kyo had an interest in science and realism, and he was very persuasive. Though life would be more interesting if it was a fantasy, why delude yourself with something fake? Kyo was a realist of the highest degree- and he was very persuasive. Slowly, Izumi agreed. Her fantasies were just that- fantasies- and it was no use pretending they were anything else. She grew close to Kyo, but colder from everyone else- real life was real, but it was also stupid. The world was boring, and she'd just have to accept that. Time went on. First Kyo, then she graduated to High School, where their relationship continued as before; it didn't take particularly long for the school to begin seeing them as a sort of package deal, given that they spent most of their free time together; though Kyo had other friends and Izumi joined essentially every sports, culture and intellectual club that was offered, the two were always seen as together, even when they weren't. Most people expected they were dating, though neither of them ever really saw it that way- even if Izumi kind of saw it that way. They stayed pretty much the same as they always did, growing up; Izumi excelled but was cold towards everyone else, and Kyo was a slacker but remarkably intelligent. Then, time came forward and Kyo graduated while Izumi became a Senior. They didn't have much to say between them, as usual, though Izumi secretly wished he'd kiss her or something. Some sort of physical anchor she could use to be assured their relationship was solid. Regrettably, she didn't get such, and Kyo basically disappeared after going to college. Though she knew he was still around, they didn't talk any longer- she became rather bitter over that and retreated more into her shell of distaste for the world around her. Thoroughly a realist at this point, she didn't entertain any fantasies past that point; they were stupid. Not even those times when the world seemed to be covered in ice. Or the shadow creatures that flitted through the edges of her vision- they didn't exist. They were elements of her psychosis manifesting, somehow. Or something else she didn't know about. It was hard to rationalize, but she did, somehow. After all, something like the world freezing over at midnight couldn't really happen, could it? To take her mind off of it, she joined a new club- some self-defence group. She was a fair hand with a number of weapons, after all, maybe that would come in useful. Weapon of Choice: Naginata Damage Element: Slash Fighting Style: Izumi is a practised hand with the Naginata and utilizes a rather formal, studied style that allows her to defend herself while also making the most out of her attack reach. She has a tendency to grip the staff of the weapon higher up than entirely necessary, in order to increase her leverage and afford her a greater amount of control at the cost of a bit of reach- while this a bad habit in traditional use of the Naginata, against vicious Shadows it allows her to increase her reaction time and fend off more foes in a lesser amount of time. Generally, Izumi will use two hands as she's been taught; however, her lower grip allows her to more easily wield it in one hand, which can be either side, as she is ambidextrous. She will typically does this in order to reach her Evoker in the middle of battle, and use two hands when focused on fighting a single enemy. In combat, Izumi tends to move around a fair bit and is very aggressive, chasing after enemies and attempting to box them into a lesser position. She attempts to deal with bad situations by finding a way to change it to her advantage rather than fleeing, and is willing to take risky positions and attacks in order to possibly increase her standing. In battle, she is rather fearless, which can often lead to weaknesses in her stance that enemies can exploit. Evoker & Summoning Style: Izumi's Evoker is a standard model to the others, though it is unique in that it has a reverse grip and a larger trigger, allowing her to wield it upside-down rather than in the more proper position it is supposed to be in. A large engraving of a butterfly is carved onto the top of the barrel, both wings eventually extending all the way back to the handle. When Izumi pulls out her Evoker, she holds it through the middle finger in the triggerhole and carries it in a reverse grip, which makes it seem less like an actual gun to her. She places the gun against the bottom of her jaw diagonally from the opposite side of the hand she carries it with, holding her arm across her body and closing her eyes before she shoots. In times of stress, she places the muzzle under her chin on the same side as the hand she's carrying it in, which speeds it up significantly. This strain mark runs along the width of her shoulder and off at an angle. Kira wears a red tank top with custom-sown sleeves that are worn on the forearms. However, the tank top only reaches down to at least a couple of inches above the belly button. The jeans that Kira wears are ripped above the knees, at which point they begin to fray, and are loose enough to be pulled down without even having to undo the button and unzip the fly, assuming one would even dare do such a thing. How they stay up on their own accord though is unknown, as Kira doesn't wear a belt to go with them. Kira stands at 4' 9", and has a slender, petite form like Jaz, but her muscles, although thin enough to keep this form, are actually quite strong. Random bruises and cuts seem to be strewn all over the body, the only areas exempt being the face, neck and upper chest. Personality: As adamant as she is of her physical strength, Kira still has a mental weakness in some way, although she'll either vehemently refuse to admit it while she has Oumitsunu, or state that she's not about to let that weakness get to her if it has evolved into Thor. Perhaps that mental weakness has something to do with what had happened to her in the past. That much is unknown. What is known is that Kira will put a lot of strain on her slender body, and is oblivious to any limits to her strength. As such, she'll keep fighting, even if it would be suicidal to do anything but retreat. She'll also support the other CASA members after Oumitsunu, her Persona, has evolved into Thor, but until then, Kira's only in this for herself, and will lash out at anyone that in her mind doubts her strength. All in all, Kira can be described as a moronic and naive, but defiant individual, who'll always stand her ground, and won't allow her mind to be tainted with negative thoughts about herself. Biography: Kira Kyodaina has had a troubled past, and it all started when her mother passed away while she was at the age of 10. She had difficulty moving on since then, but her father would always be there to look after her and ensure that she didn't get into trouble at school. But it soon became obvious that Kira's father wasn't entirely over it either, resorting to alcohol so that he could forget that fateful day. One day he had gone too far, and, returning home from a beer run, immediately stumbled her way to a sleeping Kira's room. Kira was then molested and raped in her sleep by her own father, who had mistaken his daughter for his deceased wife. Upon realizing what he had done, Kira's father killed himself the next evening, but not before writing a suicide note to apologize to the poor girl and explain himself. Kira couldn't believe what she was reading, and balled her eyes out as a result of her misery. She was later sent to an orphanage in Gin City, and assigned to a new elementary school that was within walking distance. That turned out to be a big mistake on the part of the person who assigned it, as the minute the students realized that she was in an orphanage, Kira was bullied day in and day out. Eventually she snapped, beginning to pick fights with everyone that had bullied her up to that day. Unfortunately, she didn't get much of a chance to exact revenge before she was expelled for her new-found volatile behaviour. Surprisingly, the principal of the school was bribed into revoking her expulsion by the same person who had put her in the school in the first place. No further incidents had been reported and Kira finished school without a hitch, but then she was assigned to Middle Garden Academy, ready to begin her first year as a high school student. After a while, Kira decided to sneak into the Academy, as she figured she should at least know how to get there from the orphanage. She managed to slip the guards' watchful eyes with ease, and had just ventured into one of the classrooms when The Dark Hour had begun. Luckily, the classroom in question had an Evoker and a maul inside already, as if whoever placed it there was expecting Kira to wonder into that specific room. However, these two items came at a grave cost; Kira was trapped with the glaciated classroom and left to deal with a swarm of Shadows. Initially she tried to use the Evoker on them, mistaking it for a gun. Obviously, this came to no avail, so instead she used the maul... with varied success. Finally she used the Evoker once more, properly this time. But she never got the chance to see if Oumitsunu managed to defeat the remaining Shadows. Instead, Kira found herself all the way back to the orphanage, wondering what the hell happened that night. It was Officer Kurosawa that brought her here, explaining to one of the people that ran the orphanage that one of the school guards had found her inside one of the classrooms, appearing to have fallen into a coma. Kira had lost all memory of that fateful event, and is now left to pick up the pieces for herself. Weapon of Choice: Maul Damage Element: Strike Fighting Style: To take some of the strain off her body for trying to lift it, Kira will rest her maul across her right shoulder when she's not currently using it in combat, which explains the strain mark on it. She'll only use her right hand to hold it there, though, leaving her left hand free to use her Evoker. If she needs to close some distance, Kira will bolt towards an enemy, and will often try to make the first strike, even if the attempt to do so leaves her wide open for a counter attack. However, she'll only make a full swing while the enemy has fallen down or lost its balance, as it takes a lot of her strength, which she doesn't have enough of to swing it at full speed, so naturally she understands the magnitude of her enemy being unable to evade it. In the meantime, Kira will make quick jabs with the maul in order to try and fell her enemy and knock it off balance. While fighting in The Dark Hour, Kira feels its effects much more rapidly than other Persona users, since a lot more of her strength will be expended trying to use that heavy, cumbersome maul as a weapon. Still, Kira will scream at the top of her lungs in an attempt to summon whatever strength she has left. Evoker & Summoning Style: Kira's Evoker is modelled after the Desert Eagle, and has a symbol of a soaring eagle on either side of the barrel. These eagle symbols are gold and silver in colour, while the rest of the Evoker itself is black. Kira uses her Evoker in a similar manner to Yukari Takeba, except instead of two hands, she's only capable of using the left, as the right is holding the maul in place over her shoulder. However, by the time Kira gets round to summoning her Persona or realizes that she needs it, so much of her strength has gone that she can't handle the recoil of the Evoker. At the earlier stages of The Dark Hour, Kira will simply stagger, but while she has Oumitsunu as her Persona, she'll fall over backwards, forwards or to the side and struggle to get back up as The Dark Hour comes to a close, even to the point where she's left fighting to stay concious. After Oumitsunu has evolved into Thor, however, Kira will no longer be that badly affected by the recoil of her Evoker, as she will then gain the energy she needs to stand up to it. His abs are chiseled to an extent and his muscles are slightly larger than the average teen his size, giving him more physical strength than average teens his size too, which is good for his fighting style. He has very little hair on his body, aside from his head. He has sharp features, and narrow striking blue eyes. He is generally an eye drawer off the ladies. His hair is spiky, and dyed blue with red tips. The way he carries himself implies that he has pride, but capable of kindness and jokes. When he isn’t wearing his typical school uniform, he wears black tee shirt with blue lines going down the sides and his sleeves. Over the shirt, he wears a white winter jacket during, well, the winter of course, with no hood, but has a lining of fur around the collar. He likes to wear a pair of Skullcandy headphones around his neck, but doesn’t generally listen to music. He also wears jeans with a double chain wallet linking to a black and silver belt wrapped around his waist. His shoes are scuffed and slightly dirty black skater shoes or occasionally a pair of running shoes, usually worn during the Dark Hour. Personality: Naruka can be found anywhere that people can be found in fine numbers, as he enjoys the company of his peers as well as his elders. He isn’t easy to anger, but is always quick to fight when he is angered, and doesn’t lose often either. Not to say that he bullies others though. He flat out refuses to fight people much smaller than him or younger. Though he doesn’t consider himself very funny, that doesn’t stop him from always trying to make people laugh in any way he can. Being a kind hearted boy, he is also known for going out of his way to help other people, even when he doesn’t know the person personally. This earns him a few different titles or nicknames, like ‘Saint’ or ‘Salvation Army’. He loves anime and manga, and delights in making references to Bleach and Blue Exorcist. He’s known for losing his otherwise cool composure when snakes are around or involved in his activities, but throw food, particularly tri-tip steak in the deal, and not even the basilisk of the Chamber of Secrets can stop him from achieving his goal. From a young age, Naruka always wanted to be a super hero, and was constantly rushing to the aid of his fellow classmates and rescuing damsels in distress. He’ll never admit it, but he sometimes likes to think of his Persona as his very own set of super powers. Biography: Naruka was born and raised in Okinawa for most of his life, only transferring to Middle Garden academy shortly before all the rumors of the Dark Hour began to circulate. The majority of his life’s been pretty boring otherwise, and he felt as if moving to Gin might change that. Tokyo was his first choice, but his dad was chose to move the company he runs Gin instead. He never had many real friends, despite his kind attitude, so he spent most of his life watching his 10 year old sister Kaoru. When he was about 14, he started to hear a strange voice in his head just before midnight, always saying the same thing. “We are the same. I art thou, and thou art me.” He tried telling his dad, but he was ignored as always. So, he decided to just ignore them. Recently however, they’ve been louder and more frequent. When he was 8, his dad signed him up for a special samurai fighting style course, so that he’d toughen up more. Thus he learned the fighting style, Hyoho Niten Ichi-ryu. He however, preferred to devote the majority of his time to art work. Eventually he got good at what he did, especially the art of Graphic Novels. From a young age, he aspired to be a Mange-ke, though his dad disapproved of this, saying "You can't make a good living of scribbled drawings." He didn't even know about the Dark Hour until a week after he came to Gin. He woke up in the middle of it, and was attacked by a Fool arcana Shadow. His younger sister was awake during it as well, and the two barely escaped the attack alive. He would've been dead, but a member of CASA arrived on the scene to try to help them. Unfortunately, the Shadow overwhelmed the new man, and killed him. Naruka saw how he had used the evoker though, and figured that if that guy could use it to summon that spirit, maybe he could as well. He used the evoker, and summoned his Persona, Suzikaizan, and defeated the shadows with only minor difficulties. Once he'd beaten them, he passed out. When he next awoke, he was in the Velvet Room lying on the floor, and greatly confused. He was greeted by name by Igor, who then gave his famous speech about Personae and social links. He also explained that the man who saved him was from an organization called CASA, and gave him instructions to speak to a woman named Xiva when he could, and tell her that Sadanako had been killed. He also explained that he should keep the evoker he had obtained. When he next woke, he was in his room, it was morning, and he was going to start his first day at school. As Igor told him, he needed to obtain more social links. Weapon of Choice: Odachi and Wakizashi combo (uses both when fighting with Zantetsukaizen) Damage Element: Slash Fighting Style: Hyoho Niten Ichi-ryu Although the samurai carried both a katana and a wakizashi, they only used the katana outdoors and the wakizashi indoors. Miyamoto Musashi, the famous samurai who wrote "The Book of Five Rings", developed Hyoho Niten Ichi-ryu. This style's name translates to "Two Heavens, One School" and refers to the trademark stance of both swords held above the head to attack. The swords work in a sequential rhythm; as one sword defends, the other attacks in the next step. However, Naruka has altered this fine style of combat to be more dynamic, quicker, and due to the first two, slightly more off balance. Evoker & Summoning Style: The evoker is a short black tsurugi about 2 feet in length. It’s very light weight and has a long silver chain with a ring on the end, so that he can spin it around easier. It has no cross guard to be seen. The tip of the blade is thin and makes things easy to pierce. The design is made to be optimal with his summoning style. Rather than blast his energy out with a blow to the head, Naruka tosses the evoker from his left hand to his right, then catches it with his middle finger in the ring and spins it around in a windmill formation a total of 3 times. To finish, he grips the tsurugi back hand style, and moves to pierce his heart with it, then stops just before it hits the ribs, sending the energy through the evoker, and forcing his Persona out of his heart. But, there is one thing he can't be prideful of: he lacks any social interaction skills whatsoever, giving him a sense of social awkwardness, especially when trying to make new friends. This also makes him fodder to bullies and their constant barrage of pranks and teasing, especially from some of the upperclassmen and kids in his own class. To get away from the social awkwardness, he usually secludes himself from the group in an attempt to 'cure' his awkwardness. Biography: Kohaku while he was attending another school in the countryside, he was given a full scholarship to Middle Garden academy for his impressive academic and athletic skills. After arriving, he was scouted by the school’s kendo team and was instantly made a member. He had a lot of potential in the sport, but he couldn’t quite get the timing or reaction. What was it that was stopping him from actually doing well? His teacher tried to give him a test to see what was off. During the next club meeting, his teacher gave him a real sword and set up a dummy. He had a simple task: draw the sword and slash the dummy at the same time. With determination, Kohaku ran towards the dummy and withdrew his sword, the dummy slumping to its side, almost fully cut. Amazed by this, Kohaku’s teacher gave him a wooden version of what he had used, a swordstick. For countless hours, he started to train his quick draw techniques at his home. While taking his day off from school to fully train his skills, the electricity in his basement suddenly turned off. What was exactly going on, his mom should’ve paid the electric bill days ago? When he walked outside, he fully experienced what was going on. why were his parents in coffins? This wasn’t right. Running outside, Kohaku noticed all the coffins around the area. Scared beyond his life, he kept running away from all of this, he noticed someone that wasn’t a coffin. He could tell it the specifics of the person, but he could tell by the figure it was a woman, who told him to keep safe in what she called the Dark Hour. She threw him a gun-like object saying that he’ll know how to use what was known as an Evoker in time when it comes. From then on, Kohaku has been waiting for every Dark Hour, for the chance to find out who this woman actually is. Weapon of Choice: Shirasaya Swordsticks Damage Element: Slash Fighting Style: Kohaku, rather than hold the sword normally, utilizes the quick-draw style of iaijutsu in a reverse grip to perform swift and powerful attacks. The style helps by having a strong defense along with providing a possible counter-attack usually without the opponent knowing. The main use for his style is to not only just draw the blade for just one strike, he can continue the strikes progressively until he re-sheaths the blade or he needs to forcefully stop. Though he can use his swords to stab his opponents, he disregards the chances because of the chance of breaking retracting the blade from the body since the blades are rather thin. Evoker & Summoning Style: Kohaku's Evoker is not only designed like an old western colt pistol, it was given a golden plating with the engraving 'Timent lupum clamor' latin for 'Fear the Wolf's cry' on its barrel as well as a chain with the school's kendo team seal attached to its handle. When summoning his Persona, Kohaku first spins his gun for a second before placing it to his temple and firing it. When firing, at times it gives off a sound similar to the howl of the alpha wolf. This becomes more prominent every time there is a full moon outside. Initial List of Skills: Agi Maragi Getsu-ei Sukukaja Initial Persona: Ashina Appearance: Ashina is a persona, rather than being humanoid like most, he is actually a wolf. Along the bridge of his nose he has a white line over his peach muzzle. Bandages are wrapped around his legs and his right ear to show that he was a veteran of past battles. His fur is matted and colored black. A scar is visible over his left eye, which is permanently closed while his other eye is light yellow with red pupils. Ashina's ears are also lopped off at the edges and the one on his left has bite marks on it. His tail is bladed to give some form of physical offense other than his paws. His fangs and claws are sharper than what would typically seem like on a normal wolf. Smoke bellows from Ashina’s mouth as he prepares fire attacks for immediate use. Like Ashina, he still has the scar over his left eye with bright red eyes and bandages around his legs starting from the thigh to his ankles. The blade that was Ashina’s tail is now a scimitar. The scars that Ashina had from previous battles in his past are now visible, varying from the minor cuts to the majors gashes. The black fur is now black spiked hair. The fangs and claws Lycaon had as Ashina remains but the claws are noticeably duller to hold the scimitar better. Smoke still comes out from Lycaons mouth as he develops fire from the pit of his stomach. Lycaon wears a brown tunic with rips and scars around the torso. He also wears a pair of gladiator sandals. Appearance: Kyo is a rather plain-looking person, with a plain face and short brown, verging on black, hair not cut in any particular way. Though he has hazel eyes usually, he wears a pair of particularly special corrective lenses that add a slight sheen to his eyes, making them appear almost golden if looked through at the right light; these same lenses tend to reflect yellow light in extreme darkness as part of a cat-eye effect, which can make his eyes appear startling during nights without much other light around. Kyo appears almost painfully average. He doesn't have any particularly marking exterior features, has the sort of half-fat, half-starved muscle tone attributed to slackers around the world- a slimness not necessarily born out of exercise, but out of a lack of movement in general. His body type isn't exactly unattractive, however; he stands at 6'3, and has sort of the beginnings of muscle tone if one looks closely, somehow, and not an unreasonably unattractive face. The main problem with Kyo is that he's simply unmemorable- the type of person who you could recognize the face of, but never quite remember the name. If any part of him isn't generally seen almost everywhere else, it's the pocketwatch he seems to keep with him everywhere except for a digital one- made of silver, seeming reasonably expensive, with an engraving of an appletree on the front of it. Typically, he'll keep the watch in his pocket, with the chain either stuffed out of sight or kept clipped to his waist, depending on the context on hand. Though Kyo has a number of outfits, most of them are very ordinary in most regards. His school clothing generally consists of a sky-blue light coat over a fine white dress shirt, pair of light tan pants with a simple black belt, a diamond-shaped red tie and a pair of shined black shoes. Personality: Kyo is a procrastinator and all-around lazy slacker to the -nth degree. While he isn't unintelligent or talented, he simply lacks conviction or motivation; to him, there's really no point in striving for anything. Life should be taken as you go along, without being concerned with silly things like 'dreams' or 'goals'. Both of those are simply constructs people make for themselves to make them feel better- almost nobody will ever achieve them. And even if they do, what's the point? They're happy now? Kyo feels perfectly happy now where he is, so he doesn't see any particular reason to look elsewhere for it. That'd just be expending effort for no real reason- which, as most might glean, is a sort of reoccurring theme with every decision he's ever made. Kyo is a very logical fellow and keeps tabs on modern science and politics whenever he can. He's a devoted atheist, and expands that to just about everything- superstitions are silly nonsense, religions are no better. He's not particularly evangelical about this, of course- it's simply a philosophy he himself runs by, and he doesn't need to defend it or spread it to others as the 'true way'. Since it doesn't matter what people believe, really, there's no benefit to stopping people from deluding themselves. That's their problem, really. As an interesting duality to his disbelief in the unreal, however, Kyo is very interested in the creative ideas of others, especially the classics. He's read countless old stories, old themes on thousand-year documents and legends from across all of history, of course no believing them but finding a certain sort of applicability in those stories to real life as it happens. He waxes philosophical a lot as a result of that, directly applying lessons he can glean from these stories to life itself. Despite all this, however, Kyo is still a reasonably nice person. When interacting with others, he's quieter but not silent in the least. He makes normal conversation, and he's a pretty dependable friend, if not particularly interesting to be around. Biography: Kyo has lived in Gin his entire life, and as a small child he was particularly imaginative. His neighbours frequently knew him as the one with a number of imaginary friends- and indeed, he did have a number of imaginary friends. Kyo liked reading from a ridiculously young age, and always gravitated to the classics- he made friends out of Julius Caesar, chatted with Susanoo-no-Mikoto, took advice from Sun Tzu, and hung out with Heracles. He was always outside, having fun with the characters he read about as if they were actually, physically, there- and while it was charming for a while, his parents eventually worried. He would have to grow up and learn that the world wasn't like his storybooks, would he? Eventually, they put him into psychiatric therapy, who they hoped would sort him out. The psychologist that he met with was effective at instilling a sense of normality in him- perhaps a little too effective. Kyo never really remembered what happened with his chats with the psychologist, but his previous dreams were quickly broken down. Most of his friends never existed- and the ones that did, were probably nothing like they were written about. Sure it was sad, but that was how it worked. Though he continued to read, Kyo stopped being enthusiastic about the mythological characters he read about. He didn't visualize them any longer- they weren't real, he knew. They were just stories, entertaining though ultimately pointless. Some had applicability to life as they knew it, which was helpful- he became known rather quickly as the philosophical kid, right before he turned into the lazy kid when he stopped applying himself. At first, the teachers were worried about this sudden change in personality- but then it became normal. They stopped caring, as did Kyo. And that's how it worked for a while, one of the brightest kids squandering his talent because he thought it was pointless. Eventually, Kyo made friends with an exchange student; Izumi Murakami, though he primarily used her surname. Kyo enjoyed their chats, if only because her energy was rather amusing to watch, even if it was usually directed at insulting him. He wasn't ever actually offended- why would he be? What would that accomplish? But it was still better when she came to see him as a friend, if only because their conversations were interesting. Murakami had a number of opinions that he might have taken on himself, if he continued on with his childhood delusions. He broke the truth to her slowly as she asked for his opinion, and surprisingly she seemed to take it for the most part. Kyo wasn't exactly happy, but for some reason he felt a little disappointed - he wondered if someone could prove him wrong, and it didn't seem like one would. Time went on. Kyo eventually went to High School, where he continued to talk to Murakami regularly. Life went on as usual. Middle Garden Academy was the same as any other, and nothing important happened there. He graduated, and decided to go to a middling-ranked college for a degree in Classics, figuring that was as good an idea as any. It was there that he met Keisuke Ishida. Keisuke was alumni of the same college that Kyo attended, a major in Civil Law who had gone on to become a defence attorney of some repute- and also happened to head up the school's Go club. Kyo, out of a whim more than anything, joined the club and was slightly surprised to find himself invited to accompany Keisuke in his limousine to somewhere unknown. He was even more surprised to find that this visit was nonopinional, as enforced by Keisuke's large and scary-looking bodyguards. Not really having a reason to resist, Kyo went along- he suspected that Keisuke was a member of the Yakuza or some sort, and he was either being recruited or extorted. The truth was far more outlandish. Kyo blacked out almost as soon as he got in the car- and when he came to, he was still in the car, though he felt like a truck had run over him a few times. Keisuke, same as ever, explained to him things that he wouldn't have believed even in his youngest days; beings called Shadows stalked the world during a hidden hour in the day, freezing the world over and slowly cooling Gin City during the real time too. He was told that certain people were gifted with the power of Persona- the ability to control their basic Superegos, which could be used to defend one's self from the Shadows. Persona could be used to prove the existence of shadows to society on a whole- but that would take time. Shadows appear very rarely, but present an omnipresent threat. In order to fully protect the earth, everyone needs to see the shadows- with their own two eyes. Even the most realist person in the world would have to admit evidence they could see and touch themselves. And just as Kyo was going to shut him out, Keisuke opened the door, and Kyo's world widened. Ice as far as the eye could see- and, things, crawling through the streets, through people. It was as if time itself had just stopped. And in place of Hanged Horse Park, the spot where he had played all the time as a child... there was a massive gap. A chasm, infinitely deep, throbbing with darkness and simple wrongness, a sense of something that had to be corrected. The door closed. Kyo listened, and turned his attention back to Keisuke just as he mouthed the words that would shape Kyo's place from then on. Strega. Weapon of Choice: Shinai Damage Element: Strike Fighting Style: Kyo notably uses a nonlethal weapon, a shinai, as his primary weapon of choice, and as such doesn't treat it with the same sort of respect that others might with theirs. While he is reasonably experienced in kendo, Kyo tends to use his shinai more as an overly large stick rather than a sword- he includes a baseball swing as part of his standard gamut of techniques, for example. That said, Kyo's shinai isn't totally harmless. While it isn't particularly effective against humans, it still works against shadows when he puts enough muscle into it- and Kyo indeed attempts to use as few attacks as possible to maximize his damage, forcing all of his muscles to work together into a single strong hit when possible. He typically stays flatfooted in combat, standing in a single area and blocking most attacks, waiting for an opening- the shinai is very good for misdirection, and he will deflect misplaced hits whenever he can. Kyo holds his Shinai with one hand, but always strikes or blocks two handed. He always has a hand hovering over his Evoker, just in case he needs to pull it out quickly. Evoker & Summoning Style: Kyo's Evoker is a very plain looking gun, bearing Strega's logo near the butt. The finish is a dazzling silver, and the weapon always appears in good condition, as if it is polished every day; the other side of the butt, reversed from the Strega logo, bears the same stylized apple tree as the symbol on his pocket watch. When Kyo uses his Evoker, he tends to stare directly down the barrel by placing the muzzle right between his eyes; in order to do that, he holds his gun backwards when he pulls it out (though not upside down), and pulls the trigger with his thumb, typically spinning it around once on his thumb before he does so. Kyo does this regardless of whatever danger there might be in the area, and is normally very passive even when around a large number of enemies. Initial List of Skills: Kill Rush Cruel Attack Fatal End Tarunda Enradi Initial Persona: Sisyphus Appearance: Sisyphus is a massive man with dark-olive skin and bulging muscles uncovered by any sort of clothes except for a baseline loinwrap, appearing as a veritable giant. His body is clean of any sort of hair, except for his head, which is darkened and indistinct as if it is covered by shadow- one can vaguely make out the features of his face, which include a head of long, shaggy and uncut hair as well as a rather great beard. His dark features are topped with a tiny golden crown, humorously tiny and pointless compared to the extremes of Sisyphus' other details. All four of his gigantic muscles- both legs and arms- are bound with great steel manacles, which all tie around a huge rock that Sisyphus is carrying on his back. The stone doesn't appear to be anything special aside from having a ring of golden metal to it that all the manacles tie onto, but Sisyphus notably struggles to hold it up, despite how strong he appears to be. When Sispyhus is summoned, he makes a herculean effort to carry his boulder, but stumbles forward and seems to attempt to keep his balance. When he attacks with physical strikes, he slams the stone into the ground before moving forward to attack- when using a spell, he picks the stone off of his back and holds it up, where it glows with energy, before resting it on his shoulders again with noticeable pain. When he moves and more of his body can be seen, it is obvious that he has a god's musculature- powerful and carved, almost a picture of perfection, though slightly more feminine and slim than most gods of battle. ThoughHangatýr has a weapon, it is a spear that seems to be made of a deadly arrowhead with pronged sides attached to a gnarled old stick- the weapon is actually stuck through Hangatýr's body, with the point of exit being right above his left side and the point of entrance on his lower right; the wound itself is concealed by his toga.Hangatýr never actually draws the spear; when he is attacking physically, he simply dives forward and strikes with his bare fists. When he is using magic, he opens a hand and raises it to the heavens, calling down magic on the opponent. Appearance: Senis appears as a young, rather serene girl with pale blue hair that flows, unbound, down to her waist, without any particular style binding it to a certain look. She is rather short, with a petite frame that can make her seem even younger than her assumed age; she barely reaches 4'10 when standing fully upright, and has very slight features that could allow others to mistake her for a child, if it weren't for the mature look of her face. Senis has attractive features, but the way they're put together almost feels wrong- individually they should come off as appealing or cute, but together they seem to be little more than dressing on a lifeless brick. Her eyes are larger than usual, grey orbs with a hint of violet in the back, but they are dead- unless something particularly special grasps her attention, they are dull and lifeless. She has a small, rather regular nose, simple cheeks, and slightly catlike eye sockets. Senis has exactly one set of clothing; a short red skirt, simple white button-up shirt and a black vest she leaves unbuttoned, with a pair of black shoes and knee-length socks. She wears a pair of blue rectangular glasses, though not that she needs them for anything; they are the only addition to her appearance that she has ever made. Unlike later-build Anti Shadow Devices, Senis is designed to appear exteriorly identical to a human, and does not have the same external armour plating that later models were built with. Personality: 'Inhuman' sums up Senis in as many words- on a simple examination, she doesn't seem to have any real emotions, as one would call them. Senis does not express herself, does not change her facial features in regard to what is happening at the moment, speaks in a dry monotone (if at all), and doesn't appear to let emotionality cloud purely logical thinking. It's very simple to see Senis as what she is- a machine, capable of emulating human life to a degree but never replicating it. Most consider her to be a weapon, a thing to be directed, rather than a sapient being under her own power; and indeed, Senis doesn't appear to take any independent action, instead only doing what she is ordered to do with a cold, dispassionate loyalty. Of course, all these are simple assumptions made from her actions. In reality, Senis has plenty of emotions- she's just not sure how, or why she should, show them in most cases. Most particularly, Senis is disturbed that her purpose has been chosen for her- strange as it sounds, she values her own independence over anything else, and enjoys doing little, almost insignificant shows in order to prove to herself that she's capable of doing what she wants, if she were to want it- such as taking a slightly longer path to get somewhere, for instance, or taking a slightly liberal view of her assignment when she completes it. She doesn't see why she shouldn't take orders -that's why she is built, after all, and her circuits are unable to comprehend doing something completely of her own volition- but at the same time, she needs to validate that she is willingly doing these things. Senis is aware that humans connect to each other emotionally, and on some level she desires that sort of thing for herself- but she has no idea how to go about doing it, and even in compiling information she still doesn't seem to quite get it. She attempts to compile information regarding it, but human action is simultaneously illogical and annoying, almost impossible to truly understand; as a machine built to summon a Persona, Senis was built to develop human emotions, and thus to a certain extent she resents wanting to learn more about humanity, and purposely attempts to separate herself. On a whole, one could say Senis is still trying to validate herself- she's not certain to her own purpose, and indeed she hasn't quite realized that what she wants is to decide her actual purpose. Biography: Senis was built in the Kirijo Group laboratories during the early stages of Shadow research and Persona development, and was perhaps the first actually working prototype of her kind. Dubbed 'Anti-Shadow Weapons', she was an android equipped with certain mechanisms that were intended to allow her to echo a human consciousness to the point where one could summon a Persona, which worked to a certain extent- Senis associated herself with humanity properly, as she was supposed to, and seemed to have thought processes not terribly different from a human. The problem occurred when she first summoned her Persona- and promptly brought a flat, white, slightly non-Euclidean shape into formation. Somewhat interesting, of course, but fundamentally useless- she was a failure. Senis was deactivated, and the project went on to develop new models of Anti-Shadow Weapons, hopefully those who were similar enough to humanity in order to project a passable Persona. It was in the darkness of the holding chambers where she stayed, a deactivated entity, until Kirijo Group's main laboratory exploded due to miscontainment of Death. The explosion levelled the building and broke through the seal of their research vault, destroying countless millions of dollars in research and destroying almost all of Senis' kind- she, herself, only being saved by being placed at the very back of the vault, behind a pillar that took the majority of the damage. Even though she resisted total destruction, Senis still found herself grievously injured- she was deactivated, broken, and had a large number of programs wiped as a result of the wounds. If it weren't for her form being discovered by a number of intrepid searchers looking for exactly such a subject, she likely would have been completely inoperable following that point. When Senis was re-activated, her first memory was of a smiling man in a business suit- someone she did not recognize. This man identified himself as Keisuke Ishida, leader of Strega- a group she now owed her allegiance to, and she must discard any previous loyalty to the Kirijo Group. Senis found this agreeable. A period of strenuous testing followed, wherein the group Strega evaluated her battle capabilities. Her persona creation was still flawed, a defect she believed she would be deactivated again for- but, oddly enough, the man named Ishida would simply smile and reassure her that such a thing wasn't necessarily a problem. The next test was a live one. Senis found herself in a strange environment- a 'Dark Hour' created from a rip in spacetime where Shadows wandered freely. Oddly enough, despite her prime directive, Senis felt no compelling wish to destroy them. Ishida asked if she did, and she could only respond in the negative. He asked her to think about that, and she did- only coming up with that she might be malfunctioning. Ishida laughed at that, and put off the test again to another day. Senis returned to a life of monotonous tests and slight tune-ups from Strega-aligned mechanics. She learned then that Strega was an unofficial organization concerned with preserving the presence of the Shadows for a specific political reason- a concept she should have found against her programming but didn't, oddly enough. Keisuke was the only true member of Strega- though his staff were technically allied, none of them had the talent for seeing the Dark Hour that was required before one could manifest a Persona, even with biological improvement. Then another man entered Strega. Kyo Miyamoto. Kyo was different from every human Senis had spoken to her before. Unlike the rest, he didn't seem to understand she was robotic; indeed, even when she explained it to him in a simple and concise way, he just waved his hand and scoffed a little at the idea. He attempted to interact with her as a human might, and didn't seem discouraged by her lack of a response, though all her logic circuits calculated that he must. Though Senis had no capability for returning his interactions, she did feel an odd change come about her. Mentally, she rated Kyo's safety as a much higher priority than the rest- though she had no logical reason for thinking so. She also rated being near him as preferable to not being so, and similarly had no explanation for her actions. This was perplexing to her, but undoubtedly was simply a software error, or a conflict introduced by Strega technicians as they worked on her systems. It wasn't until the next live test that things truly changed. Though Senis was present for the test, she was not instructed to destroy Shadows. Rather, that was left to the devices of Ishida and Kyo, who both summoned their personas in order to practise combat. Both were strong, though Ishida had the obvious advantage of experience and practise. Eventually, Kyo slipped up, and almost fell to the claws of the Shadows- Before she even realized what she was doing, Senis had sprung into action, violently assaulting the Shadow that had nearly killed Kyo. Following which, she activated her Persona protocols and found an interesting discrepancy- a different being appeared, this one strange and grotesque, but far more powerful than her previous manifestation. She had successfully summoned a Persona. Keisuke Ishida simply watched her and smiled. Weapon of Choice: Firearms, specifically medium-calibur rounds inserted into a pair of revolving machine-gun turrets that can extend from each of her wrists, or be combined in order to form one long, rifle-like piece of weaponry to fire larger shots. The barrel of this weapon can also be extended as a long rapier-like weapon in the event a melee-weapon is required. Damage Element: Pierce Fighting Style: Senis naturally does not favor any sort of flourish or conceit to her techniques, and simply acts in the most efficient manner she feels is possible. She tends to minimize movement, only changing her stance and technique when the situation requires it, and stands perfectly still while firing unless it is absolutely required for her to dodge at the same time; she prefers to stay at a fair distance from her enemies in order to maximize her efficiency with her guns, but is equally capable of functioning at close-quarters. If melee combat is required, Senis summons a long, rapier-like weapon in order to do battle. While it appears as a sword, Senis treats it more like a spear- rather than attacking multiple times in order to egg the opponent into making a single mistake, she analyses the least-defensible part of the opponent's body and goes in for a single killing stab. Evoker & Summoning Style: None; Senis' has internal Persona protocals that allow her to summon without using crude methods such as an Evoker. When activating her protocols, Senis stands perfectly still and disengages any weaponry she has already activated; her eyes osculate and turn yellow very briefly during this, almost like a camera flash. Following that, the persona is summoned without any flourish afterwards- commands are uttered verbally, in the same flat tone as she says anything, and an attack is usually followed up by an observation of the enemy's status. If Senis is unable to stay perfectly still while summoning her Persona, she will generally not speak, and will continue to dodge, but never retaliate with her own weaponry. Initial List of Skills: Media Mudo Hama Bewilder Pulinpa Initial Persona: Old One Appearance: The differences are as follows: Senis' Old One has four pairs of wings, all of which are large enough to cover his entire body when folded around him, and is primarily colored black rather than blue. The eye-stalks are a darker, crimson red, and numerous small red tentacles are also scattered among the stalks, some occasionally writing around the eyes that they stand on; lastly, the mouth is not in the proper place, but rather assembled horizontally along the snakelike body, almost unnoticable until it opens up. Surrounding the red mass of stalks and tentacles on its head is a ring of teeth now, not entirely unlike a second mouth. When Old One attacks physically, it slinks towards its opponent and rakes them with its eighteen claws; when it attacks with magic, it first hides itself with its black wings, then bursts out with its horizontal mouth screaming, the power emerging from that orifice. Elemental Strengths & Weaknesses: Invulnerable to Ice Light and Dark Skills Weak Against Electricity Skills Ultimate Persona: Sothoth Appearance: Sothoth appears, initially, not unlike a non-Euclidean geometry- it appears as a flat, two-dimensional white plain surrounded by four white spheres with yellow within them, rotating as lines of black connect all of them together. Every so oftne, a shadow of Sothoth's true nature appears, outlined in black- though the whole body can never be seen, it appears to have a number of large tentacles that extend ridiculously far and a body not unlike that a whale, with massive fins and eyes that watch from some undefinable plane of existence. When Sothoth is struck by damage, the white two-dimensional object making it up becomes blemished with black, and a shadow of a mass of tentacles connected to some vaguely humanoid, perhaps naga-like human being appears for a hint of a second; the object then casts off the darkness and resumes floating. If Sothoth itself initiates a physical attack, it darkens completely before shaping a shadow of wings behind its back, partially obscuring the huge mass of tentacles that suddenly reach out, only half-invisible beneath a network of shadows, as they attack the opponent. Using a magical attack causes the spheres surrounding Sothoth to bunch together and, for a moment, cause writing to appear on the white object, as if it were a piece of paper. The writing disappears as soon as it appears, and the magical spell is then summoned by the spheres as they continue to rotate around the central mass. Standing fairly tall at 6'5, he is a rather lanky fellow without much surplus meat on his bones, a feature made even more obvious by the closely-fitting Italian suits that he prefers to wear. Keisuke has light jade green, almost catlike eyes that shimmer in the light and a broad, smiling face aided by his naturally small jaw and pointed nose. Keisuke is very handsome, and tends to capitalize on that feature by keeping himself well-groomed; his hair is a light brown with a very subtle blond highlight along his bands, slightly groomed to the side and slightly styled as if it is airswept; he keeps his bangs long, but tends to cut his hair rather short, in true presentable business-style. What's so noticeable about Keisuke is his omnipresent smile- regardless of where he is, or what the situation at the matter happens to be, Keisuke will always be grinning a thin-lipped smile that doesn't necessarily speak happiness. This is a very effective mask of Keisuke's emotions, a constant shell of bemusement, so much that it appears as almost a significant feature of his body. Keisuke is generally encountered in his business wear, which consists of a blue or black suit fully buttoned up, with the Strega logo emblazoned on a pin he always keeps on the lapel. He wears a red tie consistently, though the design superimposed in black on it changes often; generally, it is an arrow pointin upwards, though he has a number of other ones. The rest of his clothing tends to be regular business formal- black pants, black shoes, white dress shirt. His 'casual' clothing, as it is, rarely fairs much better. While he eschews the black coat, he continues to wear the dress shirt and tie- his pants are usually a tan or grey, but still dress-material if nothing else. He has a fondness for slippers when walking around his own house that might be considered odd, especially since most of them are pink and fuzzy- if questioned, he tends to say that it makes him "approachable". When on official Strega business, Keisuke tends to wear his business garb, though with the coat entirely unbuttoned and a red armband with "Strega" written on it on his left bicep. He carries his bow and quiver across his back, which generally looks out of place given the circumstances. Personality: Keisuke is a very polite, considerate young man, as far as anyone can tell anyway. Good with business, good with law and never one to get on anyone's badside- nobody would ever suspect that Keisuke didn't have his share of darkness, but as far as they could tell, he was one of the good ones. Rich, but humble- poweful, but at the same time kind. To many people who watch him, Keisuke's smile is genuine- and why shouldn't it be? He's a wealthy individual, at so young an age- his accomplishments are many, and are the type of thing that would inspire envy in others. Being such a well-adjusted individual, shouldn't he be happy? Perhaps he is. Perhaps he isn't. Keisuke isn't telling. Keisuke is, above else, a very guarded individual- he dislikes revealing matters about himself, and generally tries to turn the conversation to the speaker instead. He is incredibly charismatic and persuasive, usually managing to lead a conversation even if someone else gets most of the words in, and he is very apt at picking up information and reading people. Though few people actively dislike Keisuke, many can tell that there's something... about him. Almost as if he's constantly searching for information, no matter how casual the topic might be. In his activities in Strega, Keisuke changes very little. He's still a soft-spoken individual, a true charmer who uses his words to finish more than his Evoker ever could- but he reveals more of an icy, possibly brutal side. The man's smile will not waver even in the face of sheer murder, which he may or may not be above... or even enjoy. It's rather difficult to gauge Keisuke's reactions on anything, since he gives so little response for people to tell. Is a chuckle an actual sign of humor? Or is it a carefully calculated response intended to give you that impression? People tend to treat Keisuke as dangerous- and the daftest thing is, they generally don't know why. Biography: Keisuke grew up as the disaffected black sheep of the illustrious Ishida family, children of the twin CEOs of the Ishida Group, a company sprung from the failing remnants of the Nanjo Group as it liquidated its assets and downsized. The Ishida Group was created almost entirely overnight, and was provided with a large amount of clout and assets as a result of its separation. Unlike its parent company, Ishida Group focused more on stock trades and legal affairs within business rather than spreading their money thin among a number of ventures, at least in the beginning. While the Nanjo group continued to suffer, the Ishida group continued to grow, and built a skyscraper which became a regular feature in the Gin City skyline. Keisuke was the youngest of three brothers, and was set to inherit just about nothing from his parents when they stepped down- which was fine, because Keisuke had little ambition to become a businessman when he was younger. Rather, Keisuke was convinced he'd become a hero- every night, he saw fantastic creatures pass by his eyes, images of heroes long gone and dark shadows that they'd fight. He envisioned himself as a clever general fighting battles against demons, and allowed his fantasies to disaffect his will to be in the real world- what did this one matter, when there was a much better one just beyond the understanding of the mundanes? Keisuke did terribly in school, which was fine as his brothers did excellent. Both of them were set to inherit large portions of their parent's companies, slowly taking over for them before becoming CEOs themselves- this was a pre-planned measure, and Keisuke didn't really fit into it anyway. Everyone was happy, relatively. Until Keisuke's parents died. Nobody could really explain how- they didn't really seem to have any injuries, though the autopsy pointed towards hypothermia as the cause. While both were out late, they had simply gone to Hanged Horse Park for a walk- the weather wasn't nearly bad enough to cause them to nearly freeze to death. Nevertheless, both of Keisuke's brothers were put into the position of leadership, and they floundered hard. The stock value of Ishida group sank like a stone, and the company with it. Despite their relative newness, they were forced to downsize, and eventually file for bankrupsy- neither brother was fit to lead a company, and it seemed that the Ishida name was going to sink into in-notability once again. Then Keisuke had a dream- a dream of a mask, and a dream of dark creatures in an expanse of ice. He looked into the maw of Hel, and saw the screaming faces of his parents- the screaming faces of his brothers, friends, random people he saw on the streets- and after that point, Keisuke had drive. He had a whisper in his ear. His fantasy world was real. He graduated top honors of his class, all of his teachers rendered speechless at his sudden change- where he had previously been rude and ungrateful, now he was charming and modest. Where he had been lazy, now he was driven. Where he had been an idiot before, he was now a genius. He could be a hero. He got his law degree ridiculously quickly- taking the exam without a course, bypassing years of study by simply knowing what to put. He got a job as defence attorney to some celebrities, and used the money he received from their total aquittal to buy back Isihida Group and put it on the map. All he needed was time- and allies. Ishida Group grew and grew. With Keisuke as CEO, he reformed certain aspects of it- he moved them into a technology and medicinal direction, specializing in mind-altering medications. He was particularly interested in the psychiatric effects of drugs, and made efforts to reclaim some of the old technology used by the Nanjo and Kirijo Groups, both affiliated companies they'd had interactions with in the past. And then, Keisuke built Strega- the name came to him in a dream, though he couldn't quite understand why. It seemed to fit. He could see the Shadows, and their icy domain. He could see that they cooled the world. It was perfect- a world beyond human understanding. Could they not see it? Could they not understand what it meant? Keisuke understood. Soon they would too. Weapon of Choice: Yumi Longbow Damage Element: Pierce Fighting Style: Keisuke is an elegant and patient archer, and usually takes the extra moment to notch his arrow and aim it before he fires. He is particularly fearless- while he shows surprise and might hasten to get out of the way of a particularly dangerous attack, he doesn't panic and nor does he rush himself in a dangerous circumstance. His movements and broad and elegant, obviously trained, though he does an amount of running around as well, making sure to get a broad angle of attack on his opponent- every so often, he will flourish or make an unnecessary but stylish gesture, especially if time allows him to do so. He will occasionally taunt the enemy, though will do so in a very nice way- but, as a whole, he tends to stay out of range of a counterattack. Evoker & Summoning Style: Keisuke's Evoker is a silvery, expensive-looking gun with a leather gun and polished exterior; the tip is slightly formed so it'll more easily rest against his temple. When Keisuke intends to use it, he grabs the weapon, tosses it into the air and spins quickly before grabbing it in his off hand, makes a gesture, and points it at his temple almost off-handedly. This is all done rather quickly, and he rarely has to worry about an enemy interrupting it, given that he usually keeps his distance; Keisuke notably shows not even a hint of fear about his evoker, and even chuckles a little when doing his twirl generally. Initial List of Skills: Holy Arrow Agilao Magaru Charmdi Marin Karin Initial/Primary Persona: Chiron Appearance: Chiron is a large centaur, a horseman with the body of a black stallion and an olive-skinned human torso and head. He has a long, shaggy mane of black hair that falls down to his back, color matching that of his tail, which covers one of his eyes- the other is a bright, shining green with a wild, almost crazy look in its eyes, though it speaks of great wisdom. Chiron has no beard and almost a boyish face, though his torso is padded with muscle; his horselike body is lean and almost staglike, with unshorn hooves and a long tail. Chiron carries a large bow with him, longer than he is, and carries sheath that holds a single arrow holstered like a sword- the sword has a tip like the blade of a leaf, and is fletched with a long blue feather that cackles with fire every now and then. The bow itself is black and seemingly made of polished wood, though it has a notch carved into it for Chiron to shoot from. When Chiron preforms a physical attack, he generally rears forward and charges at the opponent, trampling them beneath his powerful hooves unless it involves shooting an arrow. His casting involves pulling back his arrow and summoning the element in question on its tip, before firing it at his foes and allowing it to explode in the element as questioned. When activating a support skill, he makes a dismissive gesture with his hands an activates the spell. Elemental Strengths & Weaknesses: Strong Against Wind and Dark Skills Invulnerable to Fire Skills Weak Against Strike Skills Ultimate/Secondary Persona: Cronus Appearance: Cronus appears as a true titan, a massive persona with platinum skin that rears above the rest, face obscured in darkness except for the locks of silver hair that blow in the wind that his presence seems to form around himself. Along with Cronus appears a small circle of stormclouds that surround his head, crackling on occasion. Cronus is a behemoth covered in muscle, though perceptive people would notice that a lattice of crack lies through his entire body, like a weathered statue about to fall down. Through these cracks are veins of purple energy that occasionally seep out with a crackle, his divine Essence that slowly burns away. Cronus wears only the bottom of a toga to claim his modesty, and hides nothing about his great physique. In his left hand, he carries the bow of Saturn- which is a great, almost circular ring of purple and orange that forms arrows of firey energy when drawn back. The bow of Saturn seems to grow when it is pulled taunt, shaping a shooting star as an arrow before it is fired. When Cronus attacks physically, he either fires a meteor from his bow or leaps at the opponent with his gigantic platinum fists. Magical spells are delivered by first building them up in the Bow of Saturn, then releasing them; support spells rain down from the storm nexus that forms behind him. As with Xiva Vulzah's birthmark, Mako's eyes glowing like this seems to protect him from The Dark Hour's effects. As a typical trait found in sailors, he has a tattoo of an anchor on his right forearm, a couple of inches below the shoulder blade. The circlet around his next is a plain one, not appearing to be engraved with anything in particular. Mako wears a pair of the type of fingerless gloves one would see worn by a biker, except his are white in colour rather than black as typically seen. When he aims to impress the ladies with his "dazzling" good looks, Mako will gel his usually unkempt platinum silver hair and mould it so it looks similar to Elvis Presley's hairstyle, except he'll opt for a proper fringe rather than that signature cow lick. An average fully grown man will slightly out-heighten Mako, as he only stands at 5' 11", but with his medium build, Mako still looks as though he would hold his own in a street fight if he ever got himself into one for whatever reason. Personality: Typical from one who has The Emperor Arcana, Mako can be cocky about himself, especially about his abilities in combat. He'll also mingle with the ladies on regular occasions, in an attempt to get lucky with... well, any of them, quite frankly. But one person is always at the back of his mind; and that person is Aiya, the girlfriend that he had lost during his first experience with The Dark Hour. Mako feels as though he's trying to fill a hole in himself by making such a somewhat reckless attempt at scoring a girl, but at the same time, he also remains loyal to Keisuke Ishida, the leader of the Strega... for the moment. However, his desire to continue serving the Strega will likely depend on the true fate of his fallen girlfriend, and perhaps how far the Strega are willing to go to portray their case. One thing's for certain, though; he'll always oppose the CASA, as he believes their interference with the Shadows are only concealing the truth. Biography: Coming into Gin City by boat, Mako Yamato was astounded by what he saw over the horizon, and ventured into the city itself to enjoy himself. It was his day off from sailing too, so during the day he harboured the boat into one of Gin City's port, he had all the time in the world to get to know the place. Hanging out at the Hanged Horse Park, Mako then found a single 19 year old girl by the name of Aiya, who he immediately started dating with. It was love at first sight, for the both of them, as they returned to Hanged Horse Park to make out under the stars, unaware that it would transform into the chasm known as Hel in due time. Eventually, as The Dark Hour began, Mako and Aiya saw the trees and the buildings around them freeze over. Mako's eyes have also glowed, but he himself took no notice at the time, and when asked by Aiya, asked what the heck she was on about, this indicating that he was completely unaware of it. Just then, Hanged Horse Park began its transformation, and Mako and Aiya had fallen into the depths of Hel before they could react. Mako had managed to grab the branch of a tree to save himself, but Aiya continued to scream as she fell, straight into the core of the Earth where she was silenced and never seen again. Two powerful Shadows came soaring out from where Mako could see, shortly after Aiya's demise, followed by a battalion of weaker Shadows. Not a single one of them went after Mako, but it remains unknown whether they purposely ignored him or they were unaware he was even there. Regardless, Mako continued to call Aiya's name, but to no avail, before slowly controlling his descent down towards the core where she fell inside. However, there was nothing more he could do, as it become obvious that Aiya wasn't going to get herself out of there alive, so he waited for Hanged Horse Park to return to normal. The next day, Mako went back to work, the events that transpired during The Dark Hour still at the back of his mind. The other sailors he was working with knew something was up, but he refused to say anything until the captain of the crew made his appearance. Mako eventually opened up to everyone on the boat as requested by the captain, but he lied about everything, correctly assuming they wouldn't believe him if he did in fact tell the truth. Still in grief of the whole ordeal, he continued various attempts to forget what happened that fateful day until he stumble upon a Strega meeting led by Keisuke Ishida, overhearing their intentions to show the remaining population the truth behind the Shadows. Being intrigued by this story, Mako offered his aid and loyalty to Keisuke, vowing to stay by their side until the end of days. Weapon of Choice: Emei Piercers Damage Element: Pierce Fighting Style: What exactly Mako aims for in fighting a CASA member depends entirely on that member's gender. For females, he'll focus on merely disarming them, and will actually try to restrict how much bodily harm he does, only doing enough to prevent them from being physically able to fight. Mako is much more ruthless towards male members of the CASA though, in which he tries to land the killing blow every time he aims a punch or a kick. However, Mako relies on one thing about himself to see him through... his outstanding agility. He's also adept at hand to hand combat, especially excelling at counter-attacking, and will often goad his opponent into making the first move, even if he has to make clucking noises and make gestures that would compare one to a chicken, or do something else to get the opposition enraged. Evoker & Summoning Style: Mako's Evoker has the style of a pistol that could be standard issue for navy officers. Before he actually fires the Evoker, Mako will often spend time to twirl it around his finger first, unless of course he needs to summon Forneus urgently. As he's twirling his Evoker around, he'll spend time thinking about what exactly he wants Forneus to do and how to do it. He'll also have a bored expression on his face as he twirls his Evoker around. He doesn't do any fancy motions or aim it a specific place or at a specific angle, he just points and shoots. Viola, a quick, albeit boring and drama-less, summoning of Forneus, that's ready to fight for what Mako believes in most. During the day, his hair is slicked back behind his ears with hair wax. Otherwise, in the morning before hitting the bathroom, it is thick, shaggy, and gets in the way of his face. His normal and work attire is the same: professional. He wears tailored suits and fine, long sleeve blouses or single hue turtlenecks, tailored slacks of assorted colors and polished, leather dress shoes. Accessories are single-colored silk ties and scarves, a square, black faced metal wristwatch on his right wrist, and silver cufflinks. When relaxed and at home or any other reasonably comfortable area, he can be seen in white or black muscle shirts, jean shorts and slip on shoes, or barefoot if able. During the Dark Hour, he adds fingerless black leather gloves and a thick grey overcoat. His face is clear of blemishes or acne. His face is shaven every morning of a work day. His facial hair grows in a goatee-like fashion when unshaven for a couple days, and does not seem to grow anywhere else on his face or neck. His skin is a beautiful pale olive color. His eyes are light brown. He stands tall at 6'0" and weighs 182 pounds. Murdock has a well maintained and sculpted body type, the veins of his forearms, left bicep, left shoulder, and right hip present when exerting himself or in hot climate. When upset or concentrating, the vein on his left temple is visible. His shoe size is 11. Lastly, he wears a steel wrist cuff on his left wrist. Personality: Due to having parental-like responsibilities at a young age, Murdock Derren is selfless and apprehensive. He likes to know things are taken care of before leaving them be, likes to have preparations underway or complete before initiating a plan. He's ambitious to the point of acquiring only what is necessary and is not tempted by greed. He is, however, lustful and loves to obtain female attention and woo them. Because of his selflessness, he has issues when someone cares for him. Not wanting to burden them, he'll distance himself. This is very hypocritical to how he truly feels. Murdock desperately wants someone to care for him, to rid him of his troubles and worries. His ambition has given him great leadership ability, and honestly, he has trouble with situations when he isn't in control in a sufficient way. When socializing, he's unstressed, jubilant, and conversational. Murdock has a certain charm about him that most would find attractive or interesting, whilst never really learning what it is. Maybe it's his great sense of responsibility, or lack of avarice. Either way, he's a man who holds his head high, and will do whatever he's sees best to protect his younger brother from anything. Biography: Murdock was born in Gin City to Stephen and Meredeth Derren, and is the oldest of two children. His parents were loving and supporting, model citizens and exceptional parents; neither brother was favored or nurtured more than the other and did not foster many disciplinary issues. The family earned well enough income and lived a well enough life, until Meredeth was diagnosed with cancer, the type that most do not make it through. Before long, the family's medical insurance recognized Meredeth's condition as fatal and discontinued payment, and Stephen resorted to his income. Eventually, life became difficult for Murdock. His father was always distraught and depressed, worried about his wife. His denial of Meredeth's terminal condition was self-evident, and only further mentally and emotionally harmed Murdock and his younger brother, Mathew. Every week that passed by, Stephen became less and less of a father and Murdock placed that responsibility on himself to protect Mathew. During his pubescent years, Murdock's mother finally passed in her sleep. In truth, Murdock felt as if a weight had lifted from him, but he was never sure why. Meredeth's passing did not help the family in any means, however. The father became an alcoholic and burned away his earnings to numb himself of his grief. Murdock then felt all he had was his brother, and his brother him. Despite the hardship of acquiring a part-time job, an internship, and maintaining grades on an online college, he stayed living with his broken family, trying to be the force that holds it together. One night, Stephen had drank himself enough to poison, and was admitted to the hospital. Outside the ER, Murdock was awake in a chair, when suddenly the hallway froze over. He tried to enter the ER room but the frozen door would not budge, and it was too thick to peer through the windows. After about an hour of wandering the hospital, the ice vanished. The following morning, his father was released from hospital care, and when questioned by Murdock, did not know anything about the hospital freezing over. Every night since then, Murdock watches Gin City become a glacier. Everyone he sees is also encased in ice, but after years of searching, he's found others. Specifically a younger man named Keisuke, running an organization named Strega. He seems to know something about the happening, and without hesitation, Murdock has joined him. Weapon of Choice: Chained Crook Hook (specifically it is a large hook-like device with two more arms with metal balls at each end. Through the rear ball is a hole large enough for a metal chain to be linked to the weapon. The chain is 10 feet long. The crook hook is iron-steel alloy in make and color and the chain is tempered steel, with it's empty end linked to his steel wrist cuff.) Damage Element: Strike Fighting Style: The chain and crook hook combo is not exactly light. When carrying it around, the chain is wrapped around his left shoulder to less impede his movement and to minimize its constrictions. The actual weapon is in his right hand most of the time, as it is used to lock around an opponent's limb or neck for take downs and beat downs (being more of a man of fists than kicks). With the addition of the chain, the crook hook can be whirled either above his head or beside his body, whether still or moving, and be thrown at a distant opponent, locking on any part it can. With a mighty pull, the crook hook can bring foes up to Murdock. Murdock can then succeed with various punches, grapples, and throws. If a lock is not intended, the crook hook can still be thrown in the same manner to simply strike the opponent from afar. Evoker & Summoning Style: Murdock's Evoker is a Smith & Wesson Model 1911 Pistol. Most of the pistol's frame is a chrome-like nickel finish stainless steel. The grips are black pearl plates with three aligned silver screws as fixtures. It is the plain, original model with no extraordinary features besides being used to summon a persona rather than fire rounds. Anyone otherwise would think it is an actual gun that can fire real pistols. To summon his Persona, Murdock palms the pistol and brings it to his face, the end of the barrel placed just under his right cheek bone at an upwards angle. Without fear or hesitation, he stares at his foe and pulls the trigger. When in urgency his method of summoning his persona is no different, only faster. iCherry
Since we were both in that last Persona RP, I'd like to reserve as a member of CASA with a recreated Melody Shinigami. Which also means I'd like to reserve the "Death" Minato used as a Persona in the form of Thanatos. If not, I'll take the Female Orpheus. So the Death or Fool Arcana, depending on what you'll let me use. I also know that even though he wasn't listed, I'd like to take Junpei Iori if possible. That's fine. Shouldn't be too hard explaining how he's coming back into the scene.
Admiral_Stalfos19
My bad... I only just realized that I misread it. That reminds me, I need to update the notes on Ryoji anyway. Durandamon
Oh yay! Megami Tensei RP! I'm soooo in! Name: Markus Kress Gender: Male Age: 17 Allegiance: CASA Arcana: Death Class: Senior Appearance: Markus is a tall Caucasian guy, at about 187 centimeters, and he is also a bit muscular, but not buff. Initial List of Skills: Zan-ei Mudo Garula Mabufu Initial/Primary Persona: Pale Rider Appearance: http://images4.wikia...-PaleRider2.jpg Elemental Strengths & Weaknesses: Resist: Wind, Darkness Absorb/Reflect: None Weakness: Light Ultimate/Secondary Persona: White Rider Appearance: http://images3.wikia...White_Rider.jpg Elemental Strengths & Weaknesses: Resist: Wind, Darkness Absorb/Reflect: None Weakness: Light Theme Song:- Vortex by Megadeth

Admiral_Stalfos19
No I'm not good to go. You still have to either get rid of Counter or replace it with something else. ... Though, give me a little while longer for the app, because I'm trying to think of Junpei's backstory into this to post both at once.

Hydra of Ages
I probably don't have to mention this, but I will for posterity's sake. Even though Stalfos is allowing level-two single-target elemental spells (Agilao, Bufula, etc,) I don't want to see them piling up on a single character in an attempt to min-max. Likewise, stick to a very low amount of elemental coverage. In any case, I'm just going to list off the guys I'm reserving. Hydra of Ages
I guess I'm considered to be one of the better people here, but controlling more characters is basically just indicative of me spending too much time here rather than writing essays or preparing for finals. Actual ability is not really needed past a certain minimum.

iCherry
Gonna have to back out. I have some serious writer's block, so I can't think of a single thing for Junpei, and realized that most of the changes to Melody won't work. If I think of anything, I'll PM you to join in later, Stalfos. But I'm gonna bail now so I don't wind up holding anyone up. :s
