When this card's position is changed: Add 1 "Vanguard" Monster from your deck to your hand. You can only activate this effect twice only. If there is an Spell or Trap Card behind this card and this card attacks, you can send that card to the graveyard: This card gains 1000ATK, Until the end phase. Vanguard of the Water WATER/4/1900/1200/Beast-Warrior When this card attacks: Change it to defence position at the end of the damage step. When this card's position is changed: All "Vanguard" Monsters you control gain 700DEF. If a "Vanguard" Monster you control is attacked: You can increase this card's DEF by 500 and change the attack target to this card. Vanguard of the Thunder LIGHT/4/1900/1200/Beast-Warrior When this card attacks: Change it to defence position at the end of the damage step. Once per turn, if you control another "Vanguard" Monster, you can select 1 "Vanguard" Monster in your Graveyard and 1 Xyz Monster with the same rank as the selected monster in your Graveyard. Overlay the selected Monster with this card, and then Special Summon the Selected Xyz Monster. Vanguard of the Pitch-Black Night DARK/4/1900/1200/Beast-Warrior When this card attacks: Change it to defence position at the end of the damage step. Once per turn, if you control a face-up Xyz Monster, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from it: Your Opponent discards 1 card. Obvs they're based on CFV mechanics. Wind = Boost Water = Intercept Thunder = Soul Charge Night = Soul Blast and they're all placed in "Rest" Position/defence after attacking. Obvs the transition probably sucks because yugioh is way different. Link to comment

Also make the Defense change at the end of the damage step so the attack can actually go through. Pitch-Dark never dies. Water would make much more sense if it said "When this card is attacked" Link to comment

Pitch-Dark does die lol again trying to make other mechanics in yugioh never works because ygo is sorta braindead Link to comment

"This card's effect can only be activated twice while it is on the field (face-up or face-down)." "2 times only," Pick one. Oh also the placement of that sentence makes me think that you mean only the searching effect. Link to comment
