Astro Dude
It'll be AWESOME! As a Die Hard fan of TMNT since the 80's I must think it's awesome.
Phantom Roxas
And as a die hard fan, one must know that this might not be good for the franchise. Last I checked, this wasn't Teenage Ninja Aliens.
Astro Dude
Well if the 2012 prediction doesn't come to pass then I'll go and see this movie.
❤ Lovely Warrior ❤
No its not. Bay is going to ruin it becuase he wants to make them ALIENS and call it NOT SO MUTANT TURTLES.

Just a little. It at least gives you a laugh. FYI, their is cursing. But, it is Doug, so not shocking.
Phantom Roxas
I wanted to post that, but was unsure. I agree entirely with what he said, but I'm still unsure about seeing this.

Vairocana
http://www.filmschoolrejects.com/opinions/why-it-doesnt-matter-if-the-teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-are-actually-aliens-rfure.php A different view on the change. I really think that if your line of logic is "But they're called the teenage MUTANT ninja turtles, so they can't be alien!!!" You're really dumb. :/ Superman isn't called SuperAlien. Ironman isn't actually made of iron. Cyclops doesn't actually have only one eye. Hell, Captain America isn't even actually a captain. There are valid arguments for why changing them to aliens is a terrible idea, what they are called is not one of them. But at the end of the day, Doug has the right of it. It's Micheal Bay, this movie is going to be pretty spectacularly awful, regardless of their origins.
❤ Lovely Warrior ❤
Yea but they were mutated in a slime. They were regular turtles before that. In fact it has always been said they were normal pet turtles. The mutant in the name is there because they were mutated. It is Bay after all so it is going to have pretty much no story and be 90% cgi action scenes.
Doc.
Maybe the only TMNT episode Michael Bay saw was "Planet of the Turtleoids"?
King of Games
The thread title is misleading. Please rename it "Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles" I only just heard about Michael Bay directing this movie after this 15 second clip hit the internet. There was no way this was going to end well. Mr.Robot
Bay's keeping his streak of destroying 80's cartoon alive. At first I thought he was just gonna produce it but man does he have to involve in the creative process as well?

Just Crouton
You never know. It could be good. I'm sure plenty of Transformer fans in the 90's were put off by the fact that Beast Wars consisted entirely of animal-themed Transformers. If I remember correctly, wasn't there a tournament arc in the comics or the 2003 series where they fought alien animals?
Phantom Roxas
Beast Wars was my first Transformers series, so it didn't bother me. I recall loving an arc where the turtles were split up, one of them teamed up with the rabbit guy, and the villain ended up being a dragon and some ancient wizard that got fused together. Mikey teamed up with superhero versions of himself and his brothers to stop an evil supervillain version of Splinter, Raph was sent to the universe of Planet Racers, another series by one of the TMNT creators, and Donnie is sent into an evil future where the Shredder rules all.
