Akeno_Ederis_17
Anyone in here that watched this anime?
burnpsy
Proper capitalization would be nice. In any case, the anime is old news at this point. To Love-Ru Darkness, however, has been quite nice with its actual ongoing plot, despite upping the ecchi even more than before.
Phantom Roxas
I haven't read all of the original series, but I do appreciate that the series has settled on a plot once again. I just wish it would tone down on the ecchi, but then again, that's the whole point of the series, and the latest chapter was arguably one of the more tame chapters in Darkness. By the way, no one post a link to chapters on this thread. "The new chapter is up on Mangafox" or anything to that effect is acceptable, but since the series is NSFW, I would prefer to not have any links to available. DARKPLANT RISING
Am I the only one here who doesn't really care about the plot in this manga? *Sadface*
burnpsy
The plot in Darkness is quite refreshing, TBQH, Darkplant. Not only is having a member of the planned harem as the one putting it together already unusual, but there's not only a vague change she'll succeed, there's a 9 in 10 chance that Rito will end up with a harem of some size by the end of all this. DARKPLANT RISING
Yeah, it's actually something you can call a plot, but face it: If Darkness didn't have the ecchi scenes, you wouldn't watch it.
Legend Zero
Its one of the few ecchi series that I enjoy. The weird thing is when I first watched the anime I got hooked on the plot, thinking the ecchi was just an extra.
Expelsword
I felt almost the same way about Air Gear. No way I can watch this one though, sounds like it's in a whole 'nother ecchi league.

burnpsy
Darkplant, Negima has mostly desensitized me to ecchi, so that's not why I read it.
Tentacruel
Plot? Really? The plot is some girl trying to initiate a freakin' harem. That's about as generic ecchi as you can get.
burnpsy
If it was that generic, you'd see it more often. But nope, having a Harem Seeker as part of the harem in a situation where it can actually happen isn't all that common. If it's as generic as you claim, state 10 examples that meet that criteria. I didn't think so.
Phantom Roxas
There's also the plot regarding Nemesis. I think the biggest problem with this plot is that it has some truly good premises for a story in it, but they're buried under all the ecchi. I also wish there was more focus on Lala and Haruna, mostly because I can't stand Momo or Mea, even though they're really the ones driving the plot, such that it is. Nana is a weird case, because she's annoying when it comes to her sensitivity about being a pettanko, but she's not so bad beyond that.
burnpsy
That's true as well. My point being that, despite the premise allowing for a lot of ecchi, that does not make it so the plot is meaningless or generic. Sure, actual progress takes a long time, but at least there is progress.

Legend Zero
Will be watching, even though the ecchi factor will increase. :/

burnpsy
The first anime left out a lot of my favourite stuff from the manga, and the second season jumped into things with no explanation on Celine, but all us North American customers get are the two anime. None of the OVAs, none of the manga. So yeah. :/ The anime did have a few filler episodes I thought were OK, tho.

Phantom Roxas
Finally, a Haruna chapter. I'm not caught up on the original series, so what was the chapter that they mentioned about swapping bodies?
burnpsy
I don't completely recall it. You'll run into it eventually, anyway. XD All I remember is that the switch last time was Yami and Mikan. And deliberate.
