Taio opened his mouth and yelled, "MUFFIN!" He shook his head then looked over at the waitress. "Nicole? Could you come back here and help my friends?" He looked back at Jayce. "If you wanna break fourth wall, then lets actually call ourselves the Energetic Teenager Force. And Gargantuan Pain has nothing on Nagato. Let's stop talking about other anime, we're already in a spin-off of the one of the best ever, Yu-Gi-Oh. Whoops. Did I just break more fourth wall? I'm sorry." He turned as Nicole came back to the table. "What can I get you two?" She asked.

"At least it's not Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's...who had the brilliant idea of duels on motorcycles? Hey the fourth wall can't take anymore, and the audience isn't happy either" - Markus looked at the "audience", that was actually just the other people on the café, looking at them with a weird look on their faces. - "Hey what's that talk about Pain? He is the most super special awesome card ever. Gargantuan Pain is best pony." - As Markus stretched his arms, yawning with his mouth open, the waitress arrived -"By the way, I want a chocolate chip muffin, derp derp. And cupcakes too. Pink cupcakes. Oh and a can of Coke, please" - said Markus to the waitress.

"That idea is awesome...whoever originally thought of it must be a true genius. But whatever...I can get food now! YES!" He looked at the waitress, who was evidentially named Nicole. "I'll have...a large hot chocolate...um...a chocolate muffin...or maybe blueberry? But chocolate...oh what the heck, I'll have a chocolate AND a blueberry. That works." As if on cue, his stomach rumbled loudly. "Oh...that's a sign, guys. I'd better add a sugar cookie to that order...actually, two sugar cookies. Yeah!"

Greg looked at the others uncertantly as they ordered their food.

These guys are weird, Thought Number 76. Greg chose not to respond.

"You don't want to be within 50 feet of me when I have tons of sugar", the boy said, taking out his deck.

"Table duel, anyone?"

"Oh yes, finally someone wants to duel! Let's make it a 4000 quick one, k?" - Markus pulled his deck from the backpack, and started shuffling. - "Wanna start?" - he drew his starting hand, and waited for Greg to make a move.

"Sure," Greg said,drawing 6 cards, as he was starting, but then had a bit of a shock when he saw his opening hand.

Great! He thought. This isn't my Steelswarm deck!

"I'll Normal Summon Jerry Beans Man", Greg sighed, placing the yellow Normal Monster card on the table (ATK 1750 / DEF 0)

"Then I'll Set 2 cards in the backrow and end my turn."

The woman suddenly notices Amber standing across the street from where she had been dueling, and begins to walk over as the tattoo around her eye fades and the corresponding tattoo on her right shoulder fades to black. She strides at Amber purposefully, each step seeming to have been carefully chosen as to where it was supposed to be placed in order to maximize the power of the stride. As she approaches her, she pulls a worn-out sketch from a pocket and unfurls it to show Amber the man depicted.

"Have you seen him?" She asks the girl, her voice having a slight hint of anxiety to it. "He has spiky blonde hair, and red eyes underneath the glasses."

"I'll Normal Summon Junk Synchron" (ATK 1300 / DEF 500). The boy said, placing the orange Effect Monster face-up on the table.

"I'll tune Junk Synchron with Jerry Beans Man to Synchro Summon Gaia Knight, the Force of the Earth!" Greg took Junk Synchron and Jerry Beans man and put them in his Graveyard, then took the silver Synchro Monster from his Extra Deck and put it on the table were Jerry Beans Man had been (ATK 2600 / DEF 800).

"Guess I'll attack Goblin Knight with him..." Greg continued.

"Turn end," he finished.

Amber saw the picture that was shown to her, only to frown a bit.

 

"I'm sorry mam... I don't know anyone with red eyes.." She said as she rubbed her right hand, the hand her number was printed on. "I saw your duel just now. You're really good at what you do."

 

She smiled a bit, trying to be friendly as possible.

 

"Are you going to the WDC too?" Amber Asked timidly.

"WDC huh...wow...I must be a really bad stalker....at least we have a few confirmed, now then, off to meet more...I really wouldn't want to interrupt....especially considering that one is looking for a long lost boyfriend.....why the hell am I talking to myself again?" Josep says as he slowly walks near the two, probably getting one last listen in before he assures himself he will no longer bother them. though he knows he's too much of a snoop to completely ignore this, considering how bored and....lonely he is in the city. That smell also still affects him greatly....what could it be? could he find out without making himself look like a creep? more then likely not.

"Ugh...1900 on the first turn, focus Markus! I activate Negate Attack!"

"Heh...my turn? Draw!"

"Purrfect! I activate my face-down card, Ultimate Offering! And I Normal Summon, Serene Caster Galene! (900/450)!" - He placed the Normal Monster on the field.

"Master I'm ready!" - said the voice of a small fairy inside Markus's mind - "I know you are, Galene" - whispered Markus - "Now, I pay 500 Life Points for Ultimate Offering and Normal Summon Clear Caster Aikaterina (1800/900)!" - he placed another Normal monster on the field.

 

"At your service, Master."

 

"Okay...you might not know this. Caster monsters have an unique way of Fusion Summoning, Trust Bond! I send both materials from my field, to your Graveyard!" - He moved the two cards to Greg's Graveyard - "And now, I fusion summon, Frozen Caster Vasiliki (2400/1200)!" - he pulled a purple card from his Extra Deck to the field.

 

"Let's do this!" - exclaimed the tomboyish voice of Vasiliki inside Markus's head.

 

"Not yet, first I equip Vasiliki with Cestus of Dagla! Her attack is of 2900 now. Attack!"

The woman frowns a bit, apparently disappointed that no one had seen the man she was searching for, but she regained her stoic composure as she suddenly judo chops the young man talking to himself about how obviously he was stalking them. She quickly turns and strikes him with another chop, and a knee to the gut that would most likely cause him to collapse to the ground. She then looks back at Amber and simply replies. "Yes." She then narrows her eyes at the young lady and starts studying Amber, commenting as she does so. "Staring off into space...slight nervousness, like you are guarding something...or hiding something...and that aura..." Her eyes widen and she states in a soft voice. "You have a Number." She quickly whips out her sniper rifle, which configures into its Duel Mode. "Duel me." Her firm tone and the glare she is giving Amber are suggesting that the girl might not have much of a choice in the matter.

Amber was shocked to see the woman attack the man who was listening in on their conversation.

 

"W-what are you doing!? why did you strike him?" She panicked a little, and then she heard the woman speak to her. "Wait... what...?"

 

Before she could really get a word in, She saw the woman whip out her duel disc, which at first she thought she was gonna get shot by it.

 

"Duel? with me? but why?"

 

"Sigh... I told you to be careful Amber..."

 

"Sorry Zebulos..." Amber sighed and looked to the Woman, then pulled up her sleeve just enough to reveal her number. "Yes... I do have a number on my person.. I carry Number 93.. R.K. King- El Zebulos... and since I don't seem to have much choice.. I accept your challenge.."

After falling to the ground for an unknown reason he notices the ground awfully close to his eyes. It had felt as if a train had gone ahead taken the shape of an open palm and tried to sever his spinal column....not a pretty feeling. "Okay.....seriously...the hell?" he wasn't gonna lie, he's had worse, people really disliked him for some reason, he stands up rather quickly and now his attention was theirs....namely the witch that just knocked the wind out of his trachea. "Is that how you treat strangers? I'd hate to be your enemy lady but that's too much! Also...your form...the spin was unnecessary, what is this a kung-fu movie?" he spouts like an idiot.

"Man..." Said Greg, putting Gaia Knight in his graveyard.

He drew his card, and the boy's eyes lit up. He had a terrible poker face.

"I activate Ancient Rules." Greg said, placing the blue Spell Card on the field. "So I can Special Summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my hand!"

He placed the Monster card on the field (ATK 3000 / DEF 2500).

"THen I activate my Set Mystical Space Typhoon, and I'll destroy Cestus of Dagla!"

Man, those voices are really annoying, said 76.

The cards- Oh, nevermind. Why didn't you activate MST earlier?

Greg mentally slapped himself in the face.

"Anyway, I attack with Blue-Eyes."

Amber looks over to the young man who had just spoken to the woman who had just challenged her.

 

"Are you alright over there?" Amber asked offering a hand. "You really shouldn't be listening in on people's conversations."

 

"Amber... We still have a problem.. don't get side tracked.. We don't know who either of these people are!"

 

"I know Zebulos..." She said seemingly to herself "But you know I can't stand seeing people get hurt."

 

"M'Lady.. ... Very Well.. but be careful.."

The crazy psycho assassin woman looked at the man who had been following them, mumbling to himself about Numbers. He could potentially be informing someone about her, which would not bode well in the long run if she was to accomplish her mission. She held the sniper rifle in her left hand, the tip of the barrel resting against the ground, but didn't look afraid to use it on the young man. "Stay down. Now. I'll get to you." She then turned back to Amber. "You may go first." She pressed a button, and an Augmented Reality field spread out from around her rifle. Her shoulder tattoo started to glow blue as a similar-looking blue tattoo formed around her left eye. Curiously, the tattoo had turned the iris of the eye it surrounded red, and the pupil had become a crosshair. (???: 4000 LP)

[Lord JZ of the Enigma]

"Sheesh, just my luck to run into Bipolar town...one super nice, the other insane....what a day...." with that said to himself he took the hand of the kinder of the pair and stood up. "The conversation wasn't the important part, it was more or so the fact I overheard the WDC, I'm in it too...but from what I see you have an early match-up....." He looked at the Rifle....not something that people usually used as a duel pad, and neither was the tattoo she was using to view the duel world, curiosity had gotten the best of him and he placed his own, the world felt different however, heavier, probably having something to do with these...."Numbers" where had he heard that before? it was an interesting name for a card set, but not one he had heard before in public or at a card shop. "Thanks for the help.....but something tells me leaving you here alone is a bad idea...." he stated.

Jayce raised an eyebrow as the duel went on. "Huh...am I the only one here who only uses one deck? Or do you just stick to machines, Taio?" Then he sighed as Markus asked Taio about the spirits vices. "Wow, I feel so left out...I'm the only normal one here besides that Blue-Eyes. And the Jerry Beans Man, but whatever. Oh, and no offense about implying that you guys aren't normal. Because, you know, you kind of aren't." On a whim, he pulled out his deck and started looking through the cards. I feel like one of you guys should be a spirit or something after being around these people...Yes? No? Maybe? ...Guess not. Oh well.

"Ouch...still, Vasiliki's effect activates. I destroy Blue-Eyes. Then I draw!"

Amber looked to the woman, and activated her D-Gazer and inserted her deck into her duel disc after shuffling it. She was going to try using a different deck, one she made for her number.

 

"Alright then... I'll go first then..."

 

Amber drew her hand, plus one more card to start her turn. She examines her hand a smiles. "Alright! talking about having a good start!" Amber thought to herself as she smile a little. not a smirk, a smile.

 

"First I will summon R.K. Cadet: Kohaku in attack mode!" As Amber summons a cat-like monster with armor and jet pack. It makes a meowing sound as it rockets down from the sky, wielding her sword as she lands.

"Then I'll special summon R.K. Cadet: Geo, using it's special ability!" This time, The monster that came forth was a Fox in Green armor and rocket boots. This one wields a Spear.

"Now.. Since I now control 2 level 4 monsters on the field. I will use them both for an XYZ summon!"

Amber puts the two monsters to XYZ summon her Number card.

 

"I Summon... Number 93: R.K. King- El Zebulos!! Come forth My friend!" The monsters on the field bow down on one knee as an Opossum-like monster in Armor and Cloak appears. The monster known as El Zebulos, and Amber's Friend, looks to her, nods to her and then draws his sword with a grunt.

The woman draws her card from the breech of her rifle. "Draw." She simply states as she examines the card. "Normal Summon. Ninja Grandmaster Hanzo." A black and grey-clad ninja with silver armor that had red markings jumped down and landed in front of the sniper. (1800 ATK|LV4) "Effect. Add Ninjitsu Art of Quick Teleportation to Hand." Hanzo pulled a sealed scroll out of his robes, and tossed the scroll into the air, where it unfurled into a series of Japanese kanji and revealed a card that flittered down to the woman's hand. "Set 3 facedown cards. End turn." A trio of facedown cards appeared behind Hanzo and in front of the sniper, awaiting Amber's next move.

"Wow... she talks like she's an android on a mission. There's hardly any emotion to her words..." Amber said as she drew her card. "Alright... To begin my Main Phase... I will summon R.K. Cadet: Spike!"

"Then.. I will activate Zebulos' Ability! By removing 1 of his XYZ materials, I will send your Hanzo back to your deck!"

 

R.K. Cadet: Kohaku bowed out became energy for Zebulos' Sword. The Number Monster points his now, glowing blade at Hanzo, and blasts him with blinding light, and Hanzo was shuffled into the sniper's deck. <-- Assuming no Response

However, as the Xyz Material became an arrow for Zebulos' bow, the woman dueling Amber quickly flipped up a Trap Card. "Trap. Ninjitsu Art of Super-Transformation." Hanzo quickly executed some hand signs, and a whirlwind of smoke surrounded him and Zebulos. The smoke engulfed the two, but from out of the storm, a shot went through the obscuring field and pierced one of Amber's facedowns, destroying it. Finally, the smoke dispersed, and in the place of both monsters was what appeared to be some sort of feathered dinosaur with a sniper rifle. The feathers were in a forest or jungle camouflage pattern with the occasional branch or leaf attached on to act as a sort of ghillie suit, while the raptor's muzzle was painted with camouflage paint in a military-style pattern. The raptor also wore night vision goggles adapted for its eyes, possessed a black sniper rifle, and had serrated curving blades for talons on its feet. (2200 ATK|LV4)
