Durandamon
"Sounds like a plan. I'm kinda hungry too. And I lost my house keys while flying here so I won't be going home for a while...hahahahaha...WOW!" - Markus had forgotten that he was, in fact, floating. He had to hold on to Taio to stay on his board - "W-wow...that was a close call dude." "So..." - started Markus. He had a couple friends back when he was a kid, but he never really opened up to anyone. At least, not without annoying them of course - "What do you guys think about hoverboard dueling?" Brinolovania
Jayce, having been silent for a while so he could concentrate on not breaking his neck from collisions with trees, spoke up after Taio mentioned food. "Well, food does sound nice...I haven't eaten for some ti-" He yelped, and swerved to avoid yet another tree. "Man, this city likes trees too much. Geez. Thanks for the helmet, by the way." He felt his deck shift in it's box, and pushed the lid on a bit tighter. Then he grinned when Markus mentioned dueling on the hoverboards. "Well, that sounds incredibly stupid, somewhat Impossible, and insanely dangerous, yet really fun. And if we're getting food, we could even eat while doing it...except that's stupid." He laughed, and then once again barely avoided one of the ever-present trees.
JesterJame
James Verne, recently arrived in town sat in one of the city's cafe's, popping a few of the local pastries into his mouth. He loved sweets. James actually kept a monthly budget for such treats as this, and now and then he splurged. This was a splurge. Such delicious taste and marvelous texture. He might end up skipping the first day of the upcoming tournament and come here instead for a few more treats. Still though, that wouldn't do. He had to do his best after all, otherwise he'd have let his employers down. He took a sip of his tea. After cleaning his hands of any sticky sweet residue, he thumbed through one of his decks for the tournament. The deck was a little dated, but still did well in his opinion, especially with the fusions it had. Although he couldn't very well look over the others, except for perhaps the newest deck; it wasn't as tried and true as his other existing ones. Shrugging, he placed the cards in a nice neat pile beside his self-made duel disk. And then, he returned to his pastries, trying a new one. Durandamon
"Wow...you are even crazier than I am! Eating dueling AND skating? We need an extra set of arms here!" - Markus was gaining speed, avoiding a couple of trees - "You are right, there are too many trees, but I prefer that, at least not everything is grey here..." - He gazed at the tall buildings, that grew out of sight into the clouds. - "Are we any nearer, Taio?" Admiral_Stalfos19
"Bye..." Akuma said hesitantly and weakly, before sighing again. She was lucky to get that draw when she needed it, otherwise that would've been her first loss in her entire career. However, she still felt as though she had failed. Was it because she didn't get a number from him. Or was it because her ace monster was used against her? She didn't know what to blame this sense of failure on. Yoki could've also just had the sheerest dumb luck in the world for all Akuma knew. Eventually, Akuma moved on ahead of the park, only to come across a lake, where she saw her reflection. However, she saw something else as well, and immediately looked to her left, and then her right. Nothing. "What the hell do you want?!" Akuma asked her reflection spitefully, "Y'know what I want! I want some god damned answers! Like why the hell did you have to take over for?! What do you mean I t-... DON'T PLAY DUMB, YOU B****!!" Suddenly, everyone in the entire park was staring at Akuma, but at this point, she didn't care. She was far too focused on her reflection, trying to get some answers out of her split personality, her attempts so far of which were not working. As for the population, they pretty much dismissed her screaming at herself as something not worth being too concerned about. "Sounds like you've drawn the centre of attention..." Akuma goaded, "Typical of you... always the one to get under the spotlight. Well excuuuuse me, princess, if it weren't for you almost costing us the duel, we wouldn't be doing this right now, would we? Perhaps we would. Your point? You trying to drag the both of us down the damn ground is my point!"
Cosmic Angel
Asuka glared at the young boy, who seemed to flinch at the sound of her voice. It looked as if the time for pleasantries and negotiations have long passed. At this point Asuka had become fully enraged at what she believed was a number card. " Listen kid I will only say it once and I want the truth. Was that dragon a number card?" she said in a serious tone. Asuka's faithful servant Hine soon found himself in the alleyway. "Oh dear it would seem m'lady is upset. Oh how I feel sorry for the poor lad." Hine said to himself. Asuka's gaze remained fixed on the young boy. Her temper continued to grow as she waited for the boy's answer.
Medivh
"Well, um...It says 'Number' on the card, so I guess so..." Greg replied.Idiot. Why would you tell anybody that? Number 76's voice ecohed through his mind. What am I supposed to do? Greg thought back.Just suck it up and get beaten the s*hit out of. Easy for you to say. Your a Children's playing card! The voice in Greg's head sighed in exasperation. I'm not just a card, replied Number 76. You know that.Yeah, your also a really annoying voice in my head. How do I know I'm not insane or anything? Your perfectly sane, trust me. "Why the hell should I?!" Greg yelled out-loud.
Cosmic Angel
Asuka raised an eyebrow when the young boy mentioned that the card he wielded was a number card. A small smile made its way onto her face, because she knew she would have the chance to rid the world of yet another number card. She thought it was strange for the young boy to yell out the words, "Why the hell should I," however she did not address it. " Well, well you hear that Hine our little friend here has a number card. If our little friend here is good enough to wield one; then I am sure that he wont mind showing it to me in a duel." She said in a sarcastic manner. Hine approached Asuka while holding a fine quilted pillow. A blue and white duel disk, which resembled an angelic wing, rested upon the pillow. Besides the duel disk rested a matching duel gazer. "Your equipment m'lady and please do try to take it easy on the young lad." Hine said in a respective manner. "I wish I could Hine, but that little twerp sealed his own fate once he added that god forsaken card into his deck." Asuka removed the duel disk from the pillow and placed it onto her arm. Afterwards she grabbed hold of the duel gazer and placed it over her right eye. "So what do you say twerp; show me that number card of yours." She said in a confident tone. Medivh
"So what do you say twerp; show me that number card of yours." the Woman said. And with that, Greg felt something that he hadn't felt for a long time: anger. He was a normally passive creature and resented injuring people with his Number. Did she just say that? said Number 76. She mocking us, isn't she? Yeah, I know. And we're going to take her down. Thought Greg back to the voice. As his Duel Disk was still on his arm, Greg simply took the cards in the graveyard and on the field from his last duel, placed it on his deck, and proceeded to shuffle it manually. His disk was an older model; it couldn't automatically shuffle like D-Pads could. Placing his deck back in his Duel Disk, the boy drew 5 cards."Ready?" Greg asked. Cosmic Angel
Excellent ,was the only word that Asuka could think of that described how she felt. She held no pleasure in dueling a young child given her experience as a duelist, however the presence of a number card changed her views on the matter. Without any hesitation she set her deck into the duel disk and drew five cards from her deck. "Ok twerp I hope you are ready because you are about to be defeated by the one and only Asuka Komachi." She boasted. Asuka's name had become quite common among the city; because during last years grand champion tournament she reached the semi finals. Even before last years tournament the fiery red head was a popular duelist. Asuka hoped that her opponent would yield and surrender his number card once he heard her name. "Don't worry twerp I wont use my main deck on the like of you. Now its my draw!" Asuka drew a card from her deck, she looked over the six cards within her hand. "Ok twerp here we go I will start off by playing the ritual spell card known as Honor Bound." Asuka set the spell card Honor Bound into the bottom portion of her duel disk. Afterwards she placed a monster card from her hand into the graveyard. "By tributing my Nexus Caller from my hand im now able to ritual summon my Guardian Fenrir of the Nexus in attack mode." Once Asuka slammed the blue ritual monster card down onto her duel disk the area around her became distorted. It appeared as if the distortion was ripping the very fabric of time and space itself. Before long an armored wolf appeared out of thin air; the monster took a stance in front of Asuka as if it was her guardian. The wolf was much larger than Asuka but she seemed calm before the beast. The wolf released a chilling howl, which echoed throughout the alleyway. "My Guardian Fenrir of the Nexus should be more than enough to defeat you. Now I will set two cards face down and end my turn." she spoke as if the young boy was not a threat what so ever. Two giant face down cards appeared in front of Asuka. She folded her arms across her chest as she waited for her opponents move. Medivh
"Asuka Komachi?" Greg muttered, drawing his card. "Never heard of her.""All right," the boy began. "I activate Card Destruction, so both players discard their hand then draw the same number of cards they had in their hand." After discarding his hand, Greg drew 5 new cards."I Normal Summon Steelswarm Sting." A grey, mechanical-looking wasp materialized in front of the boy. (ATK 1850 / DEF 0) "Then I'll set 1 card face-down and end my turn." One large face-down card appeared behind Greg's monster momentarily before vanishing. "Turn End," he finished. Cosmic Angel
Asuka did not seem bothered by the boys spell card. She had no problem discarding her Nexus Gatekeeper, after all it only helped her by placing this card into the graveyard. After she discarded a card; she drew a new one and she seemed quite with her new card. A new strategy began to form in her head; she wanted nothing more than to crush this boy afterwards his number card will be hers. Once Asuka heard the words Then I'll set 1 card face-down she sprung into action. Without hesitating she interrupted the young boy. "Im sorry but my Guardian Fenrir of the Nexus has a special effect, of course a novice like you were unaware of it. Once per turn when my opponent sets a spell or trap card on the field my monster is able to automatically destroy it and inflict 600 damage to your lifepoints. Sorry twerp but kiss that facedown card bye bye." Guardian Fenrir of the Nexus took a stance as if it was about to pounce. In one fell swoop the mighty wolf released a terrifying howl from its maw. A sonic wave was emitted from its mouth and destroyed the boys face down card shattering it into pieces and causing 600 points worth of damage. Once the boy's turn was done Asuka quickly drew her card. "By the way I may have forgot to mention this, but once I defeat you im going to rip that number card of yours to shreds. But first I will teach you the meaning of fear. I will start off by play the spell card known as Gateway to Nexus" Asuka placed the spell card into her duel disk then quickly into her graveyard. A huge sealed door appeared behind her and rows of towering columns emerged from the ground. In addition to the new construct it seemed as if the skies grew darker. After playing the card her lifepoints was reduced by half as she lost 2000 of them. She did not seem bothered by the lost in lifepoints, however it seemed odd that their was no added effects in play after she played the card except for the visual effects. "Now lets begin, I will also play the spell card Flow of Magic from my hand." Asuka yelled as she placed another spell card onto her duel disk. " You know that monster suits you a little grub. Now Fenrir attack with Iron Reaver!" The wolf ran towards the the boys Steelswarm Sting with haste. The wolf leaped into the air and prepared it's glowing yellow claws for the monster below. If the attack was uninterrupted then Asuka would end her turn. AkatsukiPride!
Taio looked back at the two. "Pretty close now. We should get there in a few minutes." He then took into account what they said about hoverdueling. "Hoverdueling. That'd be hard. And dangerous. But then again, it could be pretty fun. And eating while doing it would be a big, dangerous no-no." He laughed. "I guess hoverduels could be pretty nifty. I don't know about totally nifty, but they'd still be nifty." Just then, the three dashed past an alleyway with a duel going on in it.--Go back. It her. That jerk who killed me--Taio's mind registered Shock Ruler's comment instantly. He wanted to see this "Number Destroyer" for real. He stopped his board and turned to face the guys. At least we'd do something fun before we die." And then he almost rammed into Taio when he suddenly stopped. "Whoa! Tell me when you're gonna do that!" After he heard Taio talk, he turned, and saw a duel going on. He hadn't seen it on their way. "Well, I am hungry...but I guess I can wait long enough to watch a duel. It's always fun to see people dueling...you in, Markus?" Jayce turned to the other boy as he said that.

Still, he ran into both of them - "Ouch, guys! Admiral_Stalfos19
"Well, well, what do we have here?" Akuma turned around to see Dr. Faker in the distance, glaring at him, "Sounds like your going through schizophrenia or something... as far as someone such as I can tell anyway..." "Why the hell did you come here, Faker?!" Akuma asked spitefully, to which Dr. Faker scoffed. "No reason," he then stated, "Just wanted to keep an eye on the other threat to my goal." Dr. Faker turned to watch the duel between the so-called "Number Destroyer" and a teenage boy, the latter of who was probably in the wrong place at the wrong time... and it showed by her relentless actions. "See that woman over there?" Dr. Faker asked rhetorically, "Apparently she wants to destroy all the Numbers out there. Unbeknownst to her, she's already failed in that regard... I suppose I have you to thank..." "Really? Well why aren't you congratulating me, then?" Akuma asked smugly. "Like I even would!" Dr. Faker spat in response, before continuing to watch the duel. Medivh
"Agh!" Greg cried as his face-down was destroyed, causing his Life Points to go down by 600.Could have used that, the boy thought as he placed Corrosive Contagion Infestation into the graveyard, but as Greg saw Asuka's Fenrir attack Steelswarm Sting, he gave a quiet chuckle."Go," Greg shouted. "Hornet Assassin!" The two monsters collided into to one another and were both destroyed."You see," he began. "When Steelswarm Sting is sent from the field to the graveyard, I can destroy 1 face-up Ritual, Fusion, or Synchro monster....like your Guardian Fenrir of the Nexus."Greg drew his card. "Now, at the start of Main Phase 1, as I control no Spell or Tap cards, I can Special Summon Steelswarm Scout." A vaguely humanoid, grey creature with silver wings folded behind his back and perfectly round eyes appeared before Greg (ATK 0 / DEF 0)."Then I'll Tribute my Scout to Normal Summon Steelswarm Girastag. (ATK 2600 / DEF 0)."But that's not the best part. When it's Tribute Summoned with a Steelswarm monster, I can target one card on the field and send it to the graveyard. So say farewell to...the face-down on the left." Greg continued, as one of Asuka's Set cards exploded violently. Kohakuchan19
Amber There was a girl who had recently entered town. She looked fairly young, maybe 2 years younger than she really was (she's 18 yrs old). She was average height and build, but but had that child look to her face. This was her "I'm lost and don't know where to start" face. She had a standard dueling disc, and goggles on her head. her clothes were a blue hoodie, jeans, and white sneakers. on her head she also wore a blue hat. Her name, was Amber, but why was she here? was it for the Carnival, or something more like others seem to have. "This place is HUGE..." Amber muttered to herself, "Sure it's easy enough to find other duelists.. but how to I know who to start with.. there's gotta be SOMEONE here who can at least lead me to Seth...." She heard a voice. "M'lady... Look over there at the cafe.. He looks like someone who might be interested in a fair duel." This voice seemed to come from her number, or maybe it was in her head, but either way, she believed in Number 93 Card and even called it by name rather than it's number. "hmmm?" Amber looked to the cafe and saw James Verne eating pastries.. She then whispered. "Are you sure about this Zebulos? He looks like he's already.. in the middle of something..." "Positive.. who knows.. maybe he'll even agree to help us find your friend, Seth." Said Zebulos. "Alright..." Amber got her composure together and approached James. "Um.. Excuse me...? You're a duelist here too right? would you... like to have a duel with me?" She then realized how rude she must have sounded, and panicked a little "U-um, that is when ever you're done eating your snack of course!" Said Amber with a sweat Drop. Seth A Tall young man with black, spikey hair was in the middle of a duel with another duelist. He wore dark clothing, including a dark blue jacket and a Big Core-shaped D-Gazer. His name, Seth. On HIS side of the field he had a full 4000 2 Boss Rushes, and one Big Core without any counters, as well as a few face down cards. on his spell/Trap spaces. The other player had three monsters face down, trying to protect his life points, which was at exactly 3000 (He has a solumn warning in his grave yard with 3 other monsters, and multiple other spell cards), and only one card face-down which was probably a trap. It was Seth's turn now. "Alright weakling! I will begin my battle phase by attacking one of your face-down monsters!" Seth Shouted "The one in the Middle Big Core!" The Big Core with an ATK of 2300 Attacked a Stone Soldier with the DEF of 2000. The Big Core had no more counters and was destroyed by it's effect. "Now what you fool!? Now YOU have no more monsters!" Said the other duelist. "That's where you're wrong! You forgot that I have not one.. but TWO Boss Rush Cards on the field... which means.. I get a stacked effect of special summoning 2 BES or Big Cores from my deck!" Seth Proclaimed proudly. "NO WAY!!" "Yes..." As Seth finds the two cards he wants, he grins "And I choose to summon... TWO more Big Cores, and since it's still my attack phase.... I will Attack the other TWO monsters you have!!" The Big Cores attack and destroy both face-downs, and then, after destroying themselves 4 more BES Cards too their place. 2 for each Big Core... Seth chose to special summon... BES Covered CoreBES TetranBES Big Core Mk-2and BES Crystal Core "No... no way....!!" The Duelist activated a Trap card and used "Bottomless Trap Hole" to destroy them all, ut it was all for nothing, as Seth only summoned 5 more in their place, the same monsters.. with an added BES Covered Core.. adding to a total damage of... 12,300 of Direct Damage. "NO!! This can't be Happening!!!" "HAHAHAHA!!!! DESTROY THEM MY PRECIOUS CORES!!!!" Seth shouted laughing meniacally as his monster obliterated the other duelist's life points. The other duelist was left shivering and petrified with fear, as Seth laughed. "What a wimp... You don't even have cards worth my time... See you around LOSER!" Seth then walked away from the now broken duelist... "heheh... Amber.. I can't wait to see the look on you face the next time I see you.. I've become much stronger than you ever were with this Deck.. I don't even need to use my number.." Seth continued to laugh. This guy.. was clearly out of his mind, when in sad truth, he was at one point... gentle and kind. JesterJame
The pastry eating engineer looked up toward the young girl that spoke to him. Her words, although timid, were understood by the older man. Hmm, an offer to a duel would be rather fun, he thought. He set down the last piece of sweets and considered the offer. Well one game wouldn't hurt before the tournament. After all some practice to see if 'Luck was a Lady' would be great. "Sure, I can accept your offer," he said in a polite tone, an accent obviously northeast American. He leaned down toward his case, and picked up the duel disk strapped to the top. He attached the home made device to his arm. Lifting the case to set it on the desk and opening it, revealed the four decks inside, various electronic repair items and soldering equipment. It also revealed a glasses clip on. Pulling out a black deck case with white spots on it, he attached it to his belt and pulled out the deck inside, leaving the three extra deck cards inside. He then pulled out the glasses clip and clipped it onto his existing pair of glasses. "Hmm, that should be everything..." he muttered to himself, giving the case one last check before closing it. He then stood and motioned toward a decent sized area outside where they could have their duel. "Shall we?" he asked.
Kohakuchan19
"He looks like he might be into Machine cards.. I guess I'll use mine too... Seth would..." Amber Thought to herself as she picked her up a deck box from her back pack, and equipped herself with her duel disk removed and slid her Goggles over her eyes, one lens was orange, while the other was clear. She shuffled her deck, and inserted it into her duel disk. "Alright... We'll have make this duel quick, since I have to get to the tournament before it starts.." Amber Pondered for a moment "So lets start our Life points at 4000." Amber pulls a coin out of her pocket to determine who would go first and calls it. "I call Tails!" She says as The coin spun about in the air until it came back down for her to catch it and slap it on the back of her dueling hand, she reveals the face of the coin to the engineer. "Looks like it's Heads... So it's you're decision." Amber Draws her cards, and waits for his decision, but then says with a smile. "By the way.. I forgot to introduce myself.. The name is Amber!" JesterJame
"So you are in the tournament as well?" James asked as he pulled the top five cards of his deck from the now activated disk and then a sixth card after it. "What a coinky-dink," he said in a cheerful tone, though Koinky-dink likely didn't translate well, but hopefully it would be understood. He looked at the cards in his hand. What a wonderful start he had. "I'll start by summoning the powerful, brutish, and cold-blooded," he paused for effect as he placed the card onto the duel disk, "Alien Warrior!" In front of him a green ray of light shot down from space and the Alien Warrior dropped down. The ray of light vanished and Alien Warrior roared loudly. There was a reason the deck box was black with white spots; it was to represent space and the stars. "After that I'll set two cards face-down, and I'll call that a turn." JesterJame
James had been waiting for an attack to be made; that wasn't necessarily what he needed for his plan to work, but it was the best time to harm his opponent. He waited until the laser from the Option was just about to strike his warrior. "Trap activate!" he announced, the purple card having an image of a partially destroyed city covered in some sort of alien growth. "Planet Pollutant Virus," he stated. His monster ducked under the laser and ran toward the monsters on his opponent's side of the field. It then stopped in front of Gradius and sneezed before vanishing from the field. "This card requires me to tribute 1 Alien to activate. This card will destroy all monsters you control without A-Counters. And right now, that is essentially everything," he stated. James' then continued, "Aditionally for this turn, the next turn, and the turn after that, all monsters you summon will gain A-Counters." All while James had been explaining this, the buildings around them were being covered with the A Counters/Cells. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Planet_Pollutant_Virus (I'll post after I see how this effects your main phase 2.) Kohakuchan19
"Oh Wooow.. And I just put down my Trap cards so there's nothing I could have done about it!" Amber Looked disappointed at first, but that's what she gets for getting over excited about her hand. "I guess I have no choice but to end my turn now." JesterJame
James drew his next card and examined what he held for a moment. Still no big counter spreaders yet, though his newest card would help. "I summon the playfully powerful," James said in his made for radio voice, "Alien Kid!" The same green beam from before shot down and the younger looking alien landed gracefully on the ground with a ray gun in his hand. "As long as he is on the field, all monsters that are special summoned get an a counter. In addition to the A counters from my virus that is floating about," he explained. "Additionally, as long as he is on the field, all monsters that battle aliens lose 300 attack and defense per A counter. What fun that is." James then pointed forward toward his female opponent and as if he were narorating an old alien radio show, "The Alien Kid descends upon the human race, his mysterious weapon held high." The alien held his weapon close to his face, though it lacked a scope, and fired, the sound Pew Pew being made by the hologram's mouth. "That shall be my end," James finished, no other cards played.
