You can tell just by looking at him how much more awesome Red-Eyes Black Metal Dragon is. Go on, take a look.

Blue Eyes Shining Dragon actually has a better chance of being brought to the field than Red Eyes Black Metal Dragon.

Reason:

1) To Summon Blue Eyes Shining Dragon you only need 1 Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon on the field. How do you get it on the field? Simple, use a lot of cards that replace monsters in fusions. The Ultimate Dragon doesn't require a fusion of JUST Blue Eyes White Dragons, and you can also use cards that speed up fusion. Who cares if the fusion material monsters are removed from play? In a matter of a few turns you have Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon out, with anywhere between 3000 and 4200 ATK power.

2) To summon Red Eyes Black Metal Dragon it can ONLY be Special Summoned if the card is still in your deck. Notice in the card name it doesn't say you can bring it from your hand. ONLY from the deck to the playing field IF You have Red Eyes Black Dragon equipped with Metal Morph already on the field.

Your chances of getting those two cards to come up and still have the Red Eyes Black Metal Dragon in the deck is very slim.

All in all, Blue Eyes Shining Dragon wins this one.

Not really, you have to form the deck around the REBMD as well. If you are in a duel, and have that deck, the last thing you want to keep drawing in a tight situation is cards you can't use (REBMD is one of them!). Yes, its only 2 extra cards, but think about it. 2 cards make all the difference in a duel.

You are facing down your opponent's 3000 attack point monster, you have a red eyes black dragon on the field, you need one card to save yourself and you draw.....REBMD.

or

You are sitting there with a Tyrant Dragon, your opponent has Magician of Black Chaos equipped with a spell card bringing its attack to 3500. You managed to stop its first attack, but now you have no useful traps protecting you, and only 400 lifepoints. You need to draw to save yourself and you get....Metalmorph. Yes, its nice, and it will save 300 of your lifepoints from being destroyed, but what is going to protect those 300 lifepoints from the monster he'll summon next turn?

Point is, if those cards weren't in the way, you might have been able to draw something a tad more useful.

In a BESD deck, you can still keep all of your original cards in your deck. No changes need to be made because all you are adding is that one card. There are even cards that allow you to bring fusion monsters directly from the fusion-deck zone you can add. Now all you have to do is draw that card and BAM you have your shining dragon.

not really too. a simple dragons deck with REBD can work, just put the two cards and you get the opportunity to summon REBMD.

for having BESD in your deck you need at least 3 BEWD, 1 BEUD, 1 Poly and 1 BESD.

for having REBMD in your deck you need 1 REBD, 1 Metalmorph and 1 REBMD meaning it uses less cards and therefore less chances of drawing useless cards.

actually, you don't even need that. I forget the card name, but you automatically special summon 1 fusion monster from your fusion deck zone. I forget the cost, and I am pretty sure you cannot attack with it, but you can use it to bring out BESD. So really for that you only need 2 cards instead of 5.

REBMD you still need a minimum of 3 cards.

Not that you should be summoning either card. REBMD is to be Trade-in fodder. Shining cannot. Therefor, REBMD is superior.

They should make a Dragon draw card. That would be the key to making a top-tier Dragon deck.

The whole argument between CD and MOM is flawed for this reason: Neither REBMD nor BESD should ever hit the field.

REBMD, however, is what makes Chimeratech Overdragon a good decktype. BESD is what makes...um...yeah, he doesn't really fit into ANY decent deck.

No you're just biased. REBMD is what makes your Chimeratech Overdragon deck a good one.

Not Chimeratech in general.

  • 1 year later...

>.> This necrobump is full of win.

Edit: I saw this video yesterday :D Anyways not a valid reason to bump.

Umm; if that's not, I'm sure that the concept of Necro bumping being hilarious is one, if not that, my incredible tiredness for spending the entire early morning on YCM (hey, better than Warcraft), and many other valid reasons support this necro bump, kay punk?
