Note: This fanfic combines nearly all the characters from Tales of Symphonia, living or dead, and a few characters from Tales of the Abyss.

[spoiler=Prologue]Five years had passed since the project of drawing Mana into the Ginnungagap had started. Emil Castagnier and his friend, Marta Lualdi had lived in peace and got married. Little did they know that a new threat was about to begin. A Threat that took 15 years in the making...

It was early morning. Emil was asleep when all of a sudden he heard a noise sounding like a cry for help. Emil went off to investigate. Marta woke up and decided to follow Emil. He soon found a girl crying in the woods holding a doll. "Are you ok?" Asked Emil. He then took the girl and embraced her. "You're safe." said Emil. The girl smiled an evil grin and said "Can't say the same for you." Then two monsters appeared out of nowhere and attacked. One of the monsters slashed Emil but did not hit any vital organs. "What's the meaning of this?" asked Emil. "I'm going to kill all humans for how they treat my family." said the girl. The monster was about to strike when who should appear but Richter Abend. "YOU! You killed more of my family!" said the girl. "I don't have time to play with you." said Richter "I just came by to drop off something for Emil and bring along a friend of yours." Richter threw an orange jewel at Emil. It was a Centurion's Core, but not just any core, it was the very thing that sparked the Vanguard 5 years ago: Solum's Core. Marta then hatched the core. The core then dug into the earth and used the Mana to create a new body made of rock, dirt, wood, stone and sand. The result was a muscular giant made of the Earth itself. "I am Solum, Centurion of Earth." said the giant. Then another girl riding a giant doll appeared. "ANISE TATLIN!" said the girl. "You should've stayed dead Gloomietta!" said Anise. "STOP CALLING ME THAT!" said the girl. Then the girls scleras became blood red and she began to attack violently. "I have to stop this!" said Emil. Emil soon realized he forgot his sword at the house and Marta never got her spinner. Solum then cast Ground Dasher and split the earth between Anise and the girl. Ending the battle.

Solum then bound the girl to the Earth. "LET GO OF ME!" said the girl. Emil noticed his sword and Marta's spinner on the ground, indicating Richter left them there too. Emil picks up his sword and holds it at the girl. "Start talking." said Emil. "Fine." said the girl. Solum then released her. "My name is Arietta. Better known as Arietta the Wild." said the girl. "All right Arietta. Why are you here?" asked Marta. "To avenge my family." said Arietta. "You mean those monsters?" asked Emil. "That's right." said Arietta. Emil and Marta were confused. "It's a long story." said Anise.

After a thorough explanation, Marta then begins to hug Arietta. "Why are you doing this?" asked Arietta. "I lost my mommy too." Arietta was shocked to hear this and hugged her back and they both started crying. "Girls." said Emil. "You can trust us now." said Marta. "But what did Anise mean by "You should've stayed dead"?" asked Emil. "Because I killed her once." said Anise. "That's right. Then this man who calls himself Necromancer came to our world and brought me and a few others from there back to life in your world. No replicas or anything. It was hard to get adjusted to a world without fonons." said Arietta. "And it wasn't a certain Necromancer from my world." said Anise. "A guy who can bring back the dead." thought Emil. Solum then brought out a Clay Golem and made it approach Arietta. "Go on." said Solum. Arietta then touched the Clay Golem and it gave her a piggy-back ride. "The monsters may be different from the ones in your world but they are monsters all the same." said Solum. Say Arietta, if you don't mind, would you like to be a member of our family?" asked Emil. "ARE YOU NUTS?!" asked Anise. "I just don't want to kill her. Like Alice." said Emil. "I was the one who killed Alice but you are right." said Marta. "You'd do that for me?" asked Arietta. "You could be like our daughter." said Emil as he reached out his hand. Arietta grabbed it and began to feel actual love. "Emil, can I borrow your sword?" asked Arietta. Emil gave her the sword. She grabbed some of her hair from the back like she was making a ponytail and cut it to about neck length. "With this, I say goodbye to the old me." said Arietta. And with that, a new journey had begun.
