Not-so-Radiant Arin
As we all know, we have this little girl for negating the effects of monsters on the field: But Veiler is all alone in her job! She can't negate the effects of the other two other important cards in the game, Spells and Traps. Well, I'm a genius and came up with these so that Veiler isn't alone anymore!
Spell Veiler Spellcaster/Tuner LIGHT 0 ATK/ 0 DEF During your opponent's Main Phase, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to negate the activation of 1 Spell Card and destroy it. Trap Veiler Spellcaster/Tuner LIGHT 0 ATK/0 DEF During your opponent's Main Phase, you can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to negate the activation of 1 Trap Card and destroy it.
Link to comment
Bahamut - Envoy of the End
I've thought about doing this before. It's difficult though because Veiler (the existing one) only negates during opponent's turn, and doesn't destroy. Whereas these do what many other (mainly traps) do, but for free and from the hand. So I'm not sure if these are genuinely balanced or not (compared to Effect Veiler, which is godly). Um... Link to comment
玄魔の王
Nice idea, and makes logical sense, but idk on the names. Effect Veiler just sounds better IMO. I dunno.
I've thought about doing this before.
Basically, negating any Normal Trap or any Quick-Play, Normal or Ritual Spell destroys it. Where it differs is that it kills cards that stay face-up, which prevents Brio recycling them. However, a lot of traps that people like are Counter Traps that Trap Veiler can't touch. Still, good cards, if a little generic. 8.5/10. Link to comment
Not-so-Radiant Arin
Spell Veiler, in that sense, is more overpowered than Trap Veiler, because it's highly unlikely in today's metagame that anyone would play Traps during their Main Phase. The only thing wrong with Trap Veiler is that it can only be used during the Main Phase, but most traps typically run are your D-Prisons, SLR, and your Counters. But if I made the effect possible at ANY time besides the Main Phase, they would be broken. So I made a compromise. Spell Veiler is god-tier, while Trap Veiler is useless. **seemslegit.jpg** Link to comment
