Rulings for card 'Blind Destruction'

I have the card Blind Destruction in my deck, and because I have a defensive deck with a lot of flip monsters I was wondering;

Does Blind Destruction only destroy face up monsters? If not, how would you verify if it destroyed the face down monsters?

The wording is "any monster", so yes, it checks.
Unless you get a 6, where it only destroys face-up monsters.
Also, don't run it.

Exactly. For example Eradicator Epidemic Virus and Deck Devestation virus specifically have to mention flipping the cards face up to check them to confirm. Otherwise, there would be no way to check at that point in the game.

Um...no, it doesn't.

If the monster is facedown, its Level cannot be confirmed by the gamestate, so it will not be destroyed.

But you're right. It's a terrible card and shouldn't be run.
