As long as this card remains on the field all “Clue” and “Mystery” cards cannot be countered by the effect of a spell or trap card. All “Detective” type monsters gain 500 Atk and Def points. During each of your Standby phase you must either discard 1 card from your hand or pay 500 life points or this card is destroyed. Call for Backup!!![Trap Card]This card can only be activated when your opponent attacks your life points directly. Place 4 “Bobby” tokens (Warrior-type/Earth/2 star/500 ATK/ 500 DEF) in Defense position on your side of the field. These tokens cannot be used as a tribute for Tribute summon. Calling All Detectives![spell Card]This can only be activated when there are 5 or more “Detective” monsters in the graveyard. Special summon up to two “Detective” monsters. These monsters can attack your opponent’s life points directly. For Queen and Country!!![Continuous Spell Card]Once per turn during your Main phase select any number of “Detective” monsters on your side of the field. Select from your opponents hand the same number of “Detective” you selected and look those cards. The selected “Detective” monsters cannot attack this turn. Clue! Chemical Analysis![spell Card]Select One Attribute. If your opponent has any monsters in there hand with the same attribute you can select one monster with the chosen attribute and special summon it to your side of the field. If your opponent does not have a monster with the selected attribute in there hand they may select a monster from there hand and special summon it. Clue! Footprints Found![spell Card]Select two cards from your opponents hand and then guess there types (Monster, Spell, or Trap). If guessed correctly you can take one of the two cards and add it to your hand. If guessed incorrectly your opponent draws a card. Clue! The Dancing Men![spell Card]Select one card from your opponents hand and then declare it name. If guessed correctly take the card from your opponent and put it into your hand, if it is a monster you may Special Summon it to your side of the field. If guessed incorrectly your opponent can either draw two cards or special summon one monster in there graveyard to there side of the field. Final Battle at the Falls![Counter Trap Card]This card can only be activated when a monster with “Sherlock Holmes” in its name is destroyed as a result of battle. Discard two cards to negate the destruction of the “Sherlock Holmes” monster and destroy the monster that destroyed it in battle. Holmes Mastery of Mathematical Defense[Continuous Trap Card]This can only be activated when a monster with “Sherlock Holmes” in its name is on the field and your opponent’s monster attacks. After activating this card becomes equipped to the attacking monster. While equipped your opponents monster cannot attack or activate its effect so long as you have a monster with equal or greater ATK points. Holmesian Deduction[Equip Spell Card]This card can only be equipped to a “Detective” type monster. The equipped monster gains the following effect: “Once per turn during your Main phase you are allowed to randomly select one card in your opponents hand and look at it. Calling the Surrey![Ritual Spell Card]This card is used to ritual summon “Inspector Baynes”. You must offer monsters Level Stars equal 8 or more from the field or your hand as Tribute. Inspector Baynes[Detective/Ritual/Effect]This card can only be ritual summoned by the effect of “Calling the Surrey!” During your Main Phase you are allowed to look at all your opponents face down cards. If this card is destroyed in battle you can special summon the monsters used as tribute to your side of the field in DEF position.ATK/2400DEF/2000 Inspector BradstreetLevel 4[Detective/Effect]You can tribute this card this card in order to return one “Mystery” card from your graveyard to your hand.ATK/1600DEF/1500 Inspector Tobias GragsonLevel 4[Detective/Effect]When ever this card attacks you must discard one “Clue” card from your hand or else this card cannot attack. This card is also treated as a “Detective” monster. When this card is on the field your opponent must play with his/her hand revealed. This monster can attack all your opponents’ monsters once during the battle phase.ATK/3000DEF/2500 Mystery! The Adventure of the Six Napoleons![spell Card]Select one face down card on your opponent’s field and destroy it then activate one of the following effects depending on the destroyed cards type. Monster: Gain Life Points equal to half of the monsters ATK. Magic: Your opponent must show you his/her hand. Trap: Return two trap cards from your graveyard to your hand. Mystery! The Naval Treaty![spell Card]Your opponent draws two cards then you guess there type (Monster, Spell, or Trap). If guessed correctly your opponent must discard the cards and loses his or her next turn. If guessed incorrectly you can’t attack this turn and all your monsters have to change to attack mode. Mystery! The Redheaded League[spell Card]Both you and your opponent select one card from each of your hands and then guess it type (Monster, Spell, or Trap). If guessed correctly you can negate all damage done to your next turn. If guessed incorrectly then your opponent’s monsters can attack you directly next turn. Young Sherlock HolmesLevel 3[Detective/Effect]Once per turn you may select one card in your opponent’s hand or one of there face down cards and look at it. This card gains 500 ATK for each “Clue!” Or “Mystery!” card in your graveyard.ATK/1500DEF/1000 Stanley Hopkins-Student of DetectionLevel 4[Detective/Effect]Once per turn you may discard on card from your hand in order to see one card from your opponents but this card cannot attack this turn.ATK/1400DEF/1500 The Return of Sherlock Holmes![Quick Play Spell]Activate this card only when a card with “Sherlock Holmes” is destroyed and sent to the graveyard. Toby the Skilled Bloodhound Level 4 While this card is on the field your opponent cannot attack any monsters with “Sherlock Holmes” in its name. If “Sherlock Holmes-The Worlds Greatest Detective” is on the field this card gains the following effect: This cards original attack becomes 2200. Once per turn you may return one “Clue” or “Mystery” card to your hand but this card cannot attack this turn.ATK/1000DEF/1000 Sherlock HolmesLevel 6[Detective/Effect]As long as this card your opponent cannot attack any other “Detective” monsters. Every time a “Clue” or “Mystery” card is activated and resolved successfully your opponent loses 1000 life points. ATK/2200DEF/1700 Watson-The War VeteranLevel 4[Detective/Effect]When this card attacks an opponents monster with higher ATK than this monster destroy that monster at the end of the Damage step.ATK/1300DEF/1200 Watson-Sherlock Holmes RecorderLevel 4[Detective/Effect]Whenever you activate a “Clue” or “Mystery!” card your opponent must either reveal a card in there hand or else lose 500 life points.ATK/ 300DEF/ 1800 Deductive Defense[Continuous Spell]Whenever your opponent’s monsters attacks your life points directly you must randomly select one card from your hand and then your opponent must select its type (Monster, Spell, or Trap). If guessed correctly the attack continues. If guessed incorrectly the opponent’s monster is returned to your opponent’s hand. If “Sherlock Holmes-The Worlds Greatest Detective” is on the field you may negate any attack by discarding either a “Clue” or “Mystery” card from you hand. Overwhelming Evidence[Continuous Trap]Whenever a “Clue” or “Mystery” card is activated your opponent loses 500 life points. If “Sherlock Holmes-The Worlds Greatest Detective” is on the field your opponent loses 1000 life points instead of 500 and this damage can’t be negated. Professor Moriartys Sinister Trap[Continuous Trap]This card can only be activated when “Professor Moriarty-Napoleon of Crime” is on the field. Whenever your opponent activates a spell or trap card you may negate the effect and destroy the card by discarding one card from your hand. Professor Moriartys Scientific Destruction[Trap Card]You can only activate this card when a monster is Normal Summoned, Flip Summoned or Special Summoned. Destroy all monsters on the field. If “Professor Moriarty-The Napoleon of Crime” is on the field only destroy your opponent’s monsters instead. Sherlock Holmes-The Worlds Greatest DetectiveLevel 8[Master Detective/Effect]This card can only be special summoned by tributing two “Detective” monsters on your side of the field. This card is also treated as a “Detective” monster. As long as this card is face up on the field your opponent plays with his/her hand revealed and cannot play any cards face down. This card can attack your opponent’s life points directly but the damage is halved. ATK/3000DEF/2500 Professor Moriarty-The Napoleon of Crime[Master Criminal/Effect]This card can only be Special Summoned by the effect of “Mystery! The Final Problem!” This card also is treated as a “Criminal” type monster. While this card is face up on the field all monster effects are negated. Every time a “Criminal” type monster is targeted by your opponent flip a coin and if you flip a heads negate the effect and destroy the card. If you flip a tails you lose an extra 500 life points. ATK/3000DEF/2500 Mystery! The Final Problem[spell Card] Flip 3 coins and gain one of the following effects depending on the number of heads you flip. 1 Head: Discard 1 Card from your hand, 2 Head: Your opponent loses 1000 life points, 3 Head: Special Summon 1 “Professor Moriarty –The Napoleon of Crime” from either your deck or hand. The Mysterious Woman-Irene Alder[Criminal/Effect]The controller of this card loses 1000 life points during there Standby phase unless they discard a card from there hand. This card cannot attack or be destroyed in battle (damage calculated normally). Whenever this card has battled the control of this card is shifted to the opponent at the end of the battle phase. ATK/500DEF/500 This deck revolves around the Fictional character “Sherlock Holmes” and the way to win is that with the effect of “Detective” type monsters you see your opponents hand then you use Clue! Or Mystery! Type cards that deal damage to your opponent’s life points and give you good effects it done correctly. What good is your opponent’s deck if you know every move they make???? zigfried Posted March 1, 2008 Report Share Posted March 1, 2008 I'm an avid reader of Doyle and these cards, honestly, just don't cut it. I'm not trying to be rude, but they're really tacky. One thing I would do is remove the exclamation points and try using more diverse verbiage in the card names. For example, "Clue! The Dancing Men!" could be "The Dancing Men Clue Card" or something else... but I think the word 'Clue' is over used in this set of cards, as well as is 'Mystery'. I do like the strategy, though. I especially like that it revolves around you having to know your opponent's tactics and resources in order to win the duel. Link to comment
