With regards to nicknames for Pokemon~
I always name them to be a reference of something, OR, I just give them an appropriate name.
For example, My Galvantual(w/e) is named Web Spider-

For pretty obvious reasons.
I do the same thing with enjoy doing real world referances. For example my Camerupt is named Fuji, Volcarona named Mothra, Blaziken named Horus, and Lucario named Anubis.

And for fun, names of my team from Black
Bushido. Gurren. Venom. Hitodama. Blade. Monk.
Personal opinion? IMHO I like the simpler designs that the earlier-gen Pokemon had. New ones seem too intricate. There are some that I like, but a good portion are just too stylized.
See, I can understand personal opinion, but I just wanted what was behind it. The whole "liking simpler designs" thing is something I would say if a fair answer. Personally disagree and would say that most of the new ones aren't complicated but as you said that is opinion and I can't agrue that really.

Cool, I really like to train my legendaries that much.
The only legendary I liked training was Dialga back in diamond and Giratina in Soul Silver.

Why does that remind me of this?:

Also, I heard that the Pikachu 3DS is coming out in Europe later this year.

Well whilst Lucario is Jackal like....Anubis is more of a wolf as it's believed Jackal's weren't around at the time (Source: QI)
I did go for random animal latin names for my team, or the Pokemon's Japanese Names. I got lazy in my replay of HS like Geos (Golem), Vio (Shellgon born in Violet City), etc. I've tried anime character names, and messed up with Jun (ended up a FEMALE Aggron...was not paying attention to gender obviously and neither Jun I named it on where very feminine).
My games always end up sexist...mainly male teams, or 3:2 in favour of male (last spot is usually HM slave...mainly Bibarels or the like)

I tend to avoid legendaries, although I raised Groudon (because it's an Ground+Fire which I <3) and Giratina.(Again love the types that it covers)
Tempted also with Gigalith dunno if it's too slow for me.

Hope Amazon are on the ball for pre-orders...don't want to receive them late. (Ordered the guide too). Annoyed that about the Gothielle give away code being in one of the guides which is really annoying.

Wifi's a pain in the ass on my campus, considering the type the DS uses isn't one they support so I have to kludge together a workaround, but hopefully I'll be able to stay on top of event distributions this gen.

Also, random question, but do we still not know the romanized name for Yamaji Town? O_o

Finally, someone posted a list on the Serebii forums detailing the earliest point at which you can catch various Pokémon, sorted by gym. It's for the most part complete, so I cleaned up the formatting and reposted it below.

True, although I already used a Lucario so I don't really want to rely on him again. I'm more concerned with the fact that all of the more interesting 'new' Pokémon seem to be available post-Skyla. That, and all the version exclusives I'm actually considering are in Black while I preordered White. ;A;

I didn't raise the Riolu in DPPt, so I'm gonna give it another go. Just gotta work out my HM slave, and because I usually go overkill on leveling I could probably go for whatever Pokemon I want. =D

I usually work similar way to Agro, without as much thought lol. Sort out the types and see the Pokes I like. I would love to go for Pokemon I haven't used before, but to be honest I don't like any of Unova's fire Pokemon (bar Volcarona which can be a pain given the massive swing from physical to special)

Unfortunately I'll be getting my copy a bit late. By late I mean at around 1-2 PM on release day of course.

And I still have no idea what my team will be. I'll probably just wing it and go for only Pokemon I haven't had before.
See, I actually am getting my copy late. Birthday is right around that time so I'm getting it as a gift on the 14th.
HM slaves are not a big part of the game (as with BW). Not counting Surf or Fly, the only HM moves you will need for the storyline are Strength and Cut - and Cut being only temporary, as most areas requiring it are optional. And Strength is a pretty solid move as well, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem since many Pokemon can learn it.
See, I did the same thing, but with Excell. Don't ask me how that worked.

But yeah, what I do is look at what niches a pokémon on my team would need to fill. Then I fill it, with a Starter taking one of the spots.

I always try to plan a team but end up screwing it up later anyway, besides, I like role-playing a bit, and catching Pokemon spontaneously.

So I have ran into a problem though. I have a Chemistry test on Monday. When I got Pokemon White a year ago, I sank 10+ hours in the first day.

To pass the test, or to be the best, like no one ever was...

Pass test first, then celebrate with your new game.

And I've officially hatched over 700 eggs in search of a shiny Maractus in Black using the Masuda Method. This is gonna take a while. ;3;

Don't have the patience to hatch shinies. atleast BW2 gives you something to slight improve changes of getting one.
