Serebii do say Wi-Fi, but I do ponder what it was about Genesect in GAME stores then.

I'm reasonably excited and not just because this will save my PC from a week or so of struggling to do anything (gonna replace it end of Oct). Just gonna go with the flow for a team for this however I really do want Hydreigon because I love dragons. (Haxorus is just too late for me this time). Still gonna have Serperior because of it's serpentine art.

Ah. Good plan I suppose.

I'll wait to see what happens I can easily pop into town if the event is confirmed for GAME/GAMESTATION on the way home from college. So hopefully it is in store. GAMESTATION were ace at getting the event done =D.

I've missed out on events in the past anyhow, if it does end up WiFi only I don't know if my rubbish broadband can cope.

I meant English names.

Or manga names for that matter, I'm curious as to how they'll handle the 2 part or if they'll pretend it's the same characters.

They will just do what they did to Green/Leaf and Crystal/Kris most likely. Have Black and White dress in the same way Ky and Mei do in B/W2. Since having a complete reboot would be unessisary just for B/W2.

Gen 5 is hated?
As far as I know it's the fastest and one of the best pokemon games they've made. It even got old-time fans to join in on the action.

I think it was the Pokémon themselves that were hated: a lot when first revealed were decried as being not very... Pokémon-y. (Cofagrigus was one that came to mind.)

Anyways, anyone wanna help build my in-game team? I plan on having Samurott in White 2 (tempted to try soft-resetting for a shiny Oshawott for the first time, should I?) but I need to think of others to complement him.

You can get Riolu very early into the game, so you should try getting it. Mostly because Lucario is efficient as a sweeper (though ingame is nothing like competitive, Lucario is still better than Ledian or Glalie.) and has two of its weaknesses covered by Samurott while it has fantastic coverage that may patch up the holes your starter may not be capable of tending to. Not to mention being capable to learn Crunch and a fighting move with STAB makes the Elite Four a pitiful battle.

I've considered Lucario and will probably relent in the end, but for now I want to try to stick with Pokémon that aren't commonly used or that I haven't used already. (Samurott's only an exception because I hate the other two options.) I want to use Steelix and Altaria, for example, and maybe even Maractus. Who knows.

I was actually writing this post for you in my notes as soon as you said you needed a team. It only took so long because I had to look up the routes and think of Pokemon at least a bit unique who would make the game interesting. Here's what I found. Sorry for disregarding your last post.

Growlithe is also available early ingame and it almost has the moves et to essentially be a fire-type version of Lucario. I would take this Pokemon to cover your starter's fire weakness while giving your Lucario something else to switch in to if Samurott isn't available. It can learn fire, dark and, upon evolution electric moves, giving it more unique coverage in your team. It can even learn Extremspeed like Lucario mixed with the very respectable attack stat it has.

If you want to be even more amazing, take Weezing. It resists the fighting type that threatens Lucario, resists grass that threatens Samurott and has Levitate, giving it immunity to ground type moves which can easily kill Lucario and Arcanine, two essential members in terms of coverage and inflicting damage. Weezing has little offensive potential, but you can teach it Toxic and spam it against anything that threatens the rest of your team. It has usable offensive stats of 90 and 85, though. You can use TMs and give Weezing a moveset of Toxic, Thunderbolt, Flamethrower and Facade, so even if there is a steel type capable of negating your Toxic, Flamethrower would quickly dispatch of it without having to switch in to Arcanine. Facade can just be used after Toxic to keep getting free Giga Impacts minus a paltry ten power.

Yanmega is another fantastic choice for both offensive and defensive reasons. It gets Tinted Lens or Speed Boost, so you can choose to have it always inflict minimum neutral damage or drastically increase speed. I would choose Speed Boost, considering you have nothing else that could naturally outspeed a Haxorus at this point. I chose this because it resists fighting, grass, is immune to ground and has its own weaknesses covered. Samurott for fire, Weezing's Thunderbolt for flying and Lucario or Samurott for rock. It also learns Ancientpower, Psychic, Shadow Ball and Air Slash at the end of the game Ancientpower at 33, Air Slash at 57 or so and the other two by TM. These four moves also provide very unique coverage the rest of your team may not provide, destroying fighting and fire types for Lucario, flying types for itself if it outspeeds them, grass types for Samurott and so on. This is even only after Speed Boost plus a fantastic base Special Attack of 116.

I let a last spot for you to decide what ever you would like. Unless you'd like help for that, also?

@Zextra: Mutual thoughts are mutual, those were a couple of ideas I had for White 2. So what about Black 2? 1 of the pokemon I plan to use on B2 is Magmortar.

Other pokemon I'm considering:
Espeon: It's the fastest Psychic-type in-game.
[/quote]
Espeon's always a good choice. I used it in W2 - I used Sigilyph in B2 though :P
Also, Roserade is a nice option too, I suppose - not Lilligant, though; its coverage is pretty awful.

I'm a bit iffy about Roserade tbh, I used one in Pearl because I didn't have a Grass-type to use. I wasn't intending on using Lilligant at all anyway.

I was also considering using Flygon too. (I'll trade Vibrava to BW to evolve it so the Flygon can learn Dragon Claw upon evolution, because Flygon doesn't learn it in BW2 until Level 55.) He seems like a decent choice, right?
