Pokemon Return of the Shadows [Prolouge and Chapter 1 up!]

Hello everyone! It's Pichu, with a new screen name! So this fanfiction is my idea of the third in the Pokemon Colosseum series. If you like Colosseum/XD, that's cool. Just don't post a whole of hate comments on this as this is only for fun.

12 years ago, two evil teams in the Orre Region started a dangerous project with normal Pokemon. Team Snagem created the Snag Machine, which would let a lone person steal a trainer's Pokemon. Snagem was working with Cipher, who took the stolen Pokemon and closed the doors to their hearts, creating Shadow Pokemon. These Shadow Pokemon were evil Pokemon who were not scared to attack humans. One member of Team Snagem stole the Snag Machine from the Team Snagem base and used it to snag all Shadow Pokemon. He then purified all of these Pokemon to their normal state. He was never heard of since.

Five years after those events, Cipher rose from the shadows with new Shadow Pokemon. One of these Shadow Pokemon was the legendary Lugia. Lugia was altered greatly, becoming the Pokemon who could not be purified. Cipher nicknamed this "Shadow Lugia" XD001. This was supposed to be the start of many Pokemon that could not be purified. But a young boy with a second Snag Machine foiled Cipher's new plans and he purified the XD001.

But, this isn't the story of those attacks. This is the story of two kids who are launched into the third Cipher attack. The worst Cipher. The most powerful attack anyone in the world of Pokemon has ever seen. Welcome to the world of Pokemon....

[size=4]“[font=Arial, sans-serif]B-Boss? B-Boss? Come in, Boss!”[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]Have you acquired the Pokemon I asked?”[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]Yes. He put up a terrible fight. Knocked out my Shadow Pokemon, he did!”[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]Yes. This Pokemon is supposed to be very strong. Have you left for Orre yet?”[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]Leaving now. I should be back by dusk tomorrow.”[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]Good. You must make sure this Pokemon doesn't get away. It could be out ticket to taking over Orre!"[/font]


[font=Arial, sans-serif]It had twelve years after the first Cipher attack on Orre when Cipher had started to create more Shadow Pokemon. Deep in the sandy desserts of Orre was the Cipher Key Lair, which was abandoned after the second attack. But seven years after it was abandoned, a few Cipher members returned. The number of members slowly increased as more old members escaped to the lair.[/font]

[font=Arial, sans-serif]Six lone members of Cipher started organizing the third and most powerful attack. These members where admins of Cipher, Dakim, Venus, Ein, Lovrina, Snattle, and Gorigan. Dakim was one of the first members of Cipher. He held a Shadow Entei, which was snagged by the hero, Wes, during the first attack. He was arrested after the first attack and was behind bars during the second attack. Venus was another original member of Cipher. She control a place called The Under, which was an underground city that held tons of Cipher members. She had a Shadow Suicune, which was also snagged by Wes. Venus fled from The Under after Wes defeated her. After The Under was buried, Venus disappeared. Ein was also another original member of Cipher, who held a Shadow Raikou, which was also snagged by Wes.[/font]

[font=Arial, sans-serif]Five years later, since the three original admins were ether locked up or nowhere to be found, the head of Cipher hired three new admins. Lovrina, who said she was the mastermind behind the XD series project, was one of the new admins. She held a Shadow Delcatty, Shadow Farfetch'd, and a Shadow Altaria, all of which were snagged by Micheal, the new hero. Snattle launched an attack on Phenac City with his Shadow Lunatone, Shadow Solrock, and Shadow Starmie. All where snagged by Micheal. Gorigan protected the Cipher Key Lair with his Shadow Primeape, Shadow Hypno, Shadow Poliwrath, and his Shadow Mr. Mime, all of which were snagged by Micheal.[/font]

[font=Arial, sans-serif]The leader of Cipher had two other admins just in case the new three failed, which they did. These two were Ardos and Eldes, who served as bodyguards to the Cipher master. But Ardos and his three Shadow Pokemon were defeated by Micheal. Eldes tried to beat Micheal but failed and lost his Shadow Pokemon in the process. The five newer admins all fled Orre after the Micheal defeated Cipher's leader.[/font]

[font=Arial, sans-serif]All eight of the admins from the Cipher attacks all met up in the Cipher Key Lair, vowing to create the XD series and take over Orre. But they would need the help of one person. The person working behind the scenes during both Cipher attacks. They need Grantie.[/font]

[font=Arial, sans-serif]Grantie sat in his run down home, with only his Arbok to talk to. Grantie was dressed carelessly in sweatpants and a sweatshirt, which was covered in black ashes. Empty Pokeballs were scattered around his feet, some laying open and others broken. Grantie was staring at his T.V. screen as if nothing was on it, even though the news was flashing on the screen. His Arbok curled up by Grantie's feet and rested it's eyes. [/font]

[font=Arial, sans-serif]Lovrina sat in the Cipher helicopter with Venus. They were closing in on the Orange Islands, where Grantie resided. They reached his house in record time and hovered over his home, waking Arbok. Grantie still stared at his T.V. for several minutes before he noticed the noise outside. He jumped from his seat and dashed outside, Arbok following. Grantie ran to his front lawn full of dead grass and dirt. He stared into the air to see Lovrina hanging from a ladder, which was connected to the helicopter.[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]Hiya, Grantie!” Lovrina cheered, followed by a wink. Grantie scoffed.[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]What are you doing here?” Grantie asked. Arbok stirred at his feet.[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]To pick you up, silly!” Lovrina laughed. “But not looking like that. Go change into something causal now.”[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]But... I'm done with Cipher.” Grantie muttered. “I've gotten away twice. I don't to risk it again.”[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]Oh, blah, blah, blah! You big baby! I got away. So did Snattle, Gorigan, Eldes, Ardos, and Venus! So did Mirror B. before he disappeared. And Dakim and Ein broke out of prison over in Unova!” Lovrina said. Grantie looked at Arbok.[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]What do you want, anyways?”[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]We need help. Cipher is getting back together and we need our XD Mastermind back.” Lovrina said. Grantie looked back at Lovrina, then back to Arbok. He took a step towards Lovrina, then quickly stepped back. He ran into his house, leaving Arbok and Lovrina alone on his lawn.[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]Boo, you idiot!” Lovrina cried. “Don't be a sissy and get out here!” [/font]

[font=Arial, sans-serif]Just then, Grantie walked back outside. He was no longer wearing sweats, but an entirely different outfit. He wore a long, gray jacket with letters “XD” printed on the back in black. He wore a black T-shirt under the jacket and baggy gray pants. His blue hair was pushed back, revealing his forehead. He held out a Pokeball and called Arbok into it. He walked up to the ladder and grabbed on.[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]I'll help. But I'll need some time to work on the XD series.” Grantie said. Lovrina smiled and snapped. The ladder began to pull itself back up to the helicopter, where Venus was starting to fly the helicopter back to Orre.[/font]


[font=Arial, sans-serif]Several hours later, deep in the Cipher Key Lair. Lovrina, Venus, Grantie, and one Cipher Peon named Naps stood in front of a large, rumbling, metal box. Naps seemed scared of the box and stood on the other side of Venus. Venus looked at the box, eyeballing it suspiciously.[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]So who is it?” Venus asked.[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]I-It's a Pokemon.” Naps muttered. “Put up a great fight, this one did.”[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]What Pokemon?” Venus asked to Naps. Venus seemed very annoyed.[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]I-I-I-I think it's name is Kyurem, from the Unova Region.” Naps said.[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]This is what we need to be the new in the XD series.” Lovrina said to Grantie. Grantie walked up to the box and pressed his palm against the stone-cold metal.[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]I did it with Luiga, didn't I?” Grantie retorted. “Yes... This one would make a perfect XD002...”[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]B-But...” Naps muttered. He looked at Grantie. “XD001 was purified. Remem-?!”[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]Don't talk about it!” Grantie yelled, interrupting Naps. Grantie still couldn't get over the fact that his XD001 project failed. “I'll work on the project more. We can't fail again!” Grantie continued. Naps looked away as if he were afraid to speak. Grantie could be pretty cruel.[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]I'll inform the leaders of your return, right away!” Lovrina said, then she skipped away humming. Venus looked back at the box. [/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]Do us all a favor, Naps, and put him in a Pokeball.” Venus said. “The last thing we need is to have it get out and destroy the base.” Venus continued while leaving the room. [/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]Ok, Venus!” Naps said following her.[/font]

“[font=Arial, sans-serif]XD002...” Grantie said to himself. “Please don't fail on me... I have big plans... Plans that could change Orre for the better!”[/font][/size]
