@Twig

Well then. must be something wrong on my end because the spoilers in the first post of this thread aren't working for me

@Dragon Sage/Twig

Yeah, sorry for that.
The Game is called Shadowman and the track is called Asylum Playrooms
I just have an odd preference to name the game first and then the track
Will change that from now on so it will be track first and game last.

[RR]Screaming Mantis (With Mantis' Hymn) - Metal Gear Solid 4

(Granted, I don't know if this actually is a remix since I've heard this or something simmilar in a few videos of the fight but searching specificly for the theme brings me to ones withouth the hymn)
I was honestly considering requesting this under Disturbing Delights just because of the verry eerie and creepy feeling on the intro
and around the 2 minute mark.
Then it struck me, That is exactly what makes it a great remix.

What made the Psycho Mantis fight, and character, so great (in my mind) was how the errie and almost mournfull tone of the hymn realy made him seem like "someone who lost his way"
and remixing it into the more fast paced and threatening Screaming Mantis theme only served to the latters benefit.
Screaming Mantis was driven insane/near insane by the horrors of war, forced to constantly listen to peoples tortured screams for weeks wile only surviving on the corpses of male torture victims and dirty water that pooled up on the floor, and this is still not mentioning what Liquid put her trough.
Her one reason for fighting you is that she believes it will finaly ease her "inner demons" if she kills you

This reflects all of that in a mere four minutes as the eerie tone of Mantis' hymn highligts her tragic history and current state and the more fast paced, serious, tone of Screaming Mantis' Theme shows how this is her one chance to, as she believes, piece herself back togeather, and will stop at nothing to "make you scream".

(Quite the paragraph, I know, but that's what it took to even try to make this justice in my mind :P)

Eh, I guess I will try posting a Disturbing Delights:

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Shadow Temple

The ominous bongo, the creepy choirs, and the unsettling atmospheric conditions in the song. The Shadow Temple is possibly the most creepiest place to have ever entered an E-Rated game. There is just so much blood spattered across the walls in the catacomb-like dungeon, the blood of those innocent who screams have echoed throughout the halls as they were being tortured and having their heads chopped off. The 3DS version of the temple is much more terrifying, since the "dirt" piles, floors and walls you see are rotting corpses and human skeletons. There are zombies that will suck out your life energy while appearing to rape you. There is nothing to do in this time but scream, scream at the top of your lungs as you are whittled down to your last heart, where your soul will become join the wraiths of the Shadow Temple. Your soul shall then be consumed through the eye of Bongo Bongo, who was hung upside-down and had his head chopped off, letting loose a stream of blood until the body stopped rapidly shaking. Yes, I have gotten all of that from just this music. The song creates a very unsettling feeling as though you are watched at every minute. It fits into the atmosphere that you are walking through a realm of death, where torture devices and execution methods are abundant throughout the hallways. So...have the courage to listen to this song at night?

When I saw this from the front page I hoped this is what it would be.

Pokémon Black/White - Emotion
This is the most beautiful Pokémon song I've ever heard. It's name is very fitting, and it's one of the reason Generation V feels very different from the others, as it makes you think more about the Pokémon themselves. I couldn't help but tear up as I heard the piano for the first time.

[WCA]
Touhou Hisouten ~ Scarlet Weather Rhapsody - Flowering Night
I can't help but enjoy good string insturments, and I wish I could play something awesome like this. My favorite part is with the cello(?) during the slower section. I've never played any Touhou games, as I don't think I could handle the bullet hell, but I think it'd be worth it if I got to listen to more of this music.
Team Fortress 2 - MEDIC!
The theme of the mad German scientist of the same name, this song is great. When the beginning of the song starts, this description of one of the Medic's items really pops out at me: "Remind those ungrateful bastards how valuable your Medic skills are by striking a heroic pose accompanied by an angelic choir, beams of divine light, and a flock of doves." I just love a good orchestra, and my favorite part is near the end when the trumpets and saxaphones fanfare like there's no tomorrow.
Bastion - Terminal March
Bastion is one of the most artful games I've ever had the pleasure of playing, and that statement definitely extends to the music. While of a style I've never heard before, I've instantly come to enjoy it. The string parts are catchy and fitting of a good brawl, and the percussion beats alongside you beating the enemies to a pulp.
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Unstoppable Destiny
This has got to be my favorite video game of all time. Between the rushing beat and the fact that this song only plays when you're up against (or playing as) the most badass Fire Emblem characters ever, this sticks in my head. The song flows beautifully between the brass and the strings and it's the perfect music for an awesome boss.

[RR]
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Gerudo Valley
Amazingly redone by the Legend of Zelda Orchestra, it's a wonder how they could make such a great song even better. The original was easily my favorite song out of the entire game, and hearing this version is a real treat. For some reason I find myself relating this song to the Captain Falcon/Ganondorf relationship in the Smash Bros. series: The original is more fast-paced, and this version is slower but more powerful.

[VV]
Suikoden Tierkreis - Tears in the Sky
It's a real shame that this song is instrumental (though that version is still beautiful) in the English version of this game, because listening to this song calms me down. I may not understand it, but it sounds very nice and I the instruments are great. I listen to a lot of Japanese music, and this is a big favorite of mine.
Sonic Colors - Reach for the Stars
For me, this is like the beginning of Sonic games coming out of the rut they were in, so I'm very fond of it. The song is fast and catchy and is a great addition to the wonderful Sonic rock songs we've already got. Let's not forget how it was turned into an epic final boss theme, as well.

And as for this last one... The only thing I have to say is holy s*** (not really requesting this song, it's a remix of Flowering Night if you feel like listening to the actual version, though).
Those That Remain - Shadow of the Colossus

Going in the same vein as Demise of the Ritual, I would argue the soundtrack for this game alone is proof that games can be art if done right.

While this orchestrated masterpiece plays during the epilogue of the game, this is not a celebration of what you have done, quite possibly the direct opposite.
You did it! you did what most believed was impossible.
Mono has been ressurected, but Wander has been reduced to a cursed infant and possibly one of the most evil beings in the
history of Shadow of the Collosus' world was nearly released, as 16 innocent works of art, the colossi, have been crushed by your
selfish desire to bring Mono back to life, only because you decided to trust "a voice in the roof".
(And this is still not mentioning the theories regarding what Mono is going to become after being ressurected)

Watching the remains of the 16 colossi being swallowed by the earth,
you feel guilty for what you did and with a tear, you ask yourself this.
Why did it have to come to this?
What would've happened if Lord Emon hadn't come to the shrine to stop you?
Would Wander still be the vessel of Dormin if Lord Emon didn't seal himaway again?
but most importantly,
Was it worth it?

The Greatest Jubilee - Bayonetta

This is just pure awesome!
It's loud, it's grand, and the female choir through the entire track perfectly nails the divine nature of the fight this plays in were you essentialy go up against a female version of God, Jubileus, The Creator.
Jubileus is litteraly the embodiment of divine will, the supreme being, and essentialy God, that is stuck at barely half her power yet is still able to throw GALAXIES at you, use every power the Auditio have, and can unmake the universe itself just to reshape it in perfect harmony,
and this is reflected perfeclty trough her theme.

The way orchestra and choir blend togeather here is just briliant and makes a theme deffinetely fitting for the equivalent of our God.
Tales of Symphonia - The Struggle to Survive

This song is just, intense. The song is basically saying "You will die", and you will die in some of the places where this song plays. Have fun dying against the Sword Dancer before you figure out his strategy, because you will die against him at least once. That is why many people say that Sword Dancer is the first thing that comes to their mind when they hear this song: like the song, he is dark, hard, and just a pain to fight against. The song makes you lose hope, saying that you will never win. Combine with your party's lines of despair, you will panic, hard.

Kid Icarus Uprising - Twinbellows Battle

Hope you don't mind music spoilers. It was just that I was looking around for some Uprising ost and this managed to catch my ears. It also happens to be from the first boss battle in the game. Now one knows when a game's soundtrack is epic when the first boss battle sounds like this. The orchestra combined with that guitar really feels like an angel fighting a force from hell on his own, where the orchestra resembles the sky and the guitar resembles the underworld. I know that this game will be incredibly epic, and I will enjoy playing every moment of this game when it is released. So to conclude, epic song, epic game.

and some [MGS]

Kid Icarus Uprising - Main Theme

At the time of this post, the composer who made this song is not yet known. It still doesn't matter, because the Main Theme is just so amazing. I'm probably spoiling the music on myself, but this is seriously some epic music; music that Motoi Sakuraba makes (I'm a Sakuraba fanboy ok?). It really gives the feeling that you are about to go back into ancient skies to go onto an epic journey to defeat evil. It sounds somewhat like Tales of Symphonia's opening, but that only adds to the quality of the music. The orchestra is just so nice while the transition into the dreamy state then going into the hard orchestra just pulls me in. It is just such an amazing theme to a game that I am heavily anticipating to be one of the best games of the year.

Mega Man Zero 4 - Straight Ahead Remix
/!\ Spoilers /!\
Okay, the Mega Man Zero series is pretty amazing. Zero 4 is by far my favorite. Anyway, so the setting for this particular mission: You're on a Space Colony(Ragnarok) which is about to destroy the only area of nature left on earth. To be honest, I thought this was the final area. So I overprepared for this level. Oh well, the music was worth it. This entire series goes to show how powerful Zero is, and he's not even in his original body. He is quite literally the one man... or reploid... army of video games. Also one thing... CRRRRRAAAFFTTTTTTTTTT!
The game also brings a good conclusion to the series, Weil(which sounds oddly similar to Wily from the original series) tries to crash Ragnarok into the same spot that the space colony eurasia from X5 landed in. I won't say anymore because PLAY THE GAME.
Holy crap. This music is just brilliant and amazing. It's starts off really slow and epic, leading you into this false sense of what the song is going to be like and then BAM! In like, two seconds, the picks up the drumbeat and goes cascading into an amazing rock tune. It's fast paced, adrenaline pumping, resonates with your ears so well, it's epic, it uses all the right insturments and does all the right things in all the right ways. Ugh... just SO amazing...

Resident Evil 4 - Serenity

The Resident Evil series is known for its heart-stopping action and surreal horror, and Resident Evil 4 does not disappoint in these two categories. The game always has you feel on edge from the start to finish. One feels that there is just no way to cope with the feeling of uncertaincy. However, there are rooms in the game that have a save, a blue flame, and the merchant. This is the only place in where peace exists in the game. This song usually plays in these rooms, and with good reason too. The message is clear: The game wants one to forget about the tough and frightening experiences where Leon had experienced Body Horror that was turned up to eleven. Just so the station can enjoy peace, I got the extended version. This song is just perfect to listen to while alone in your happy place, as it shows peace in darkness.

Much can be said about this tune. First of those being how it takes one back. When Heart Gold and Soul Silver were first released and their soundtracks became available, this was the first song I looked up. Now if taken in full, it actually may seem fairly average, but there's only one part that a listener needs to hear; the first eleven seconds. There's just something about it, a chill that runs up your spine when you hear it, especially in its original form. There's just something there. Maybe the sense of adventure you had when you first played the game, the excitement and pure epicness that was your arrival at the Lake of Rage. Whatever it is for whomever it is, this song clicks with people deep down. They know the song they'll remember from this game.

If you liked that, then maybe you might like the FireRed/LeadGreen version of the song, which plays on the Sevii Island Routes from 4-7. In all honesty, this song was definitely a nostalgia slammer. It made me anticipate HG/SS version. I never got it yet, but I will soon. However, I still absolutely love this music when I first heard it, due to how much I loved G/S/C versions. It is a well-done homage of the song, and it fits the new adventure sound of it, which is what the postgame of FR/LG is. It reminded me so much of Johto that I wanted to cry when I first listened to this music in 2005.

Pokemon XD - Greevil Battle

This is the most epic music from the entire franchise, hands down. Despite the lolicon in Pokemon XD, it managed to take Colosseum's soundtrack and turn it up to eleven. That is a huge feat, considering that Colosseum also had an amazing soundtrack. Anyways, this song represents the epitomy of the Ultimate Showdown of Destiny: You, the hero, have bravely infiltrated a distant island that is impossible to travel on with regular boats due to really harsh waves. You have defeated the villain's army and rescued the Shadow Pokemon from them. Now, you encounter the villain. He mocks you for your worthlessness and brings out his Ultimate Pokemon. However, once you topple this obstacle *cough*masterball*cough*, the villain becomes angry and engages you personally in battle. This theme has the really epic feel to it for the final battle. The opening is dark and intimidating, signifying that you will have a hard time fighting against the mastermind behind Cipher (All of his Pokemon are Shadow Pokemon (6 of them), 3 of them being Legendary. Good luck catching them all in one battle). However, the Orchestra blasts out, representing the power of the hero and the hope that he will prevail. Then, the orchestra just blares out in an impressive way, representing the battle between Ultimate Good and Ultimate Evil. Needless to say, everyone should listen to it.

[MSG] Okami - Reset (Thank You)

By now, it shouldn't be a secret to the station that Okami has a pretty d*mn good soundtrack, and Reset (Thank You) is no exception to that rule.

You've hit rock bottom, lost your powers, lost your weapon and watched first hand as Yami destroyed the brush gods
Darkness has won.

But then everyone remembers the good deeds you've done, the people you've helped and saved trough your travels, deeds impossible for a wolf.

In a world were people had lost faith in the gods, you alone managed to rekindle it and get to watch as they all pray, not for selfish gain,
but to have the sun shine once more, for their great godess Amaterasu to be safe.
Their faith alone gets you back in there, even going beyond just restoring your powers but gives you the true strenght of Ookami Amaterasu.

What else is there to say than this song is absolutely perfect for that scenario.
Starting out rather slow and sombre it then proceedes to climb from almost a mourn to a near triumphant cheer, building your own belief that this is possible, Yami can be defeated, you can do it because now you have the peoples faith on your side.

The light never dissapeared, it only needed someone to turn it back on

(I'll admit that this is an extremely watered down version of the millions of reasons to why I find this great but my personal reason is mainly from the perspective of the game while I tried to keep this on a more neutral basis, though I'm unsure if I succeded)

Kid Icarus: Uprising - Lightning Battle

This is probably one of the most hardcore music on the 3DS. That drum and electric guitar accompanied with that bass is nothing less than what a rock concert would have. They work so very well together and create an addicting soundscape that just would want to make you bob your head. Now, it wouldn't be a Nintendo track if it doesn't have that special Nintendo charm in there, which it in fact does. You can clearly hear the Kid Icarus music in here, so the track really isn't too heavy and isn't polluted by the guitar. This music is just perfect.

This, the final boss theme of Radiant Historia, is just simply amazing. What else could you expect from a game that's a glorious and well done throwback to the "golden age" of RPGs? What I like about it is that it's epic and sounds very nice, but the mood is actually that of sadness, which I think works quite well in final boss musics, a la zero two. But anyway, the song just comes together very nicely and imo, is quite great.

EDIT: Ahh crap, the link is broken. YCM always screws up link formatting with youtube... well, the actual url begins at http and ends at Q, so just copy that into your little bar at the top of your browser and hopefully that should work...

Ok, I've never played Baten Kaitos nor do I know if this is a battle theme or not. However, from just how the tempo goes and the comments talking about battling, I could infer that this is in fact, a boss theme...and a really amazing one at that! I mean, it sounds like the player is stoned inside of a torrential whirlwind and you need to fight the bad guy in this state. The song just sounds crazy and chaotic, like as though it were some kind of epic rave. Tbh, I only looked at this music because it had Motoi Sakuraba all over it, and the Baten Kaitos ost is no exception to this rule. The rule I am talking about is that if a track is composed by Motoi Sakuraba, then the track suddenly becomes amazing. If anyone disagrees, I will take you for a Chaotic Dance and hope you get infected to the beat and aknowledge Motoi Sakuraba as best.composer.
