So I know a guy who knows a guy who works for this bait and tackle store and they need someone to fix fishing reels that they keep getting. So after some talking, I set up an interview-type thing. I'd even be able to work from home once I was fully-trained.

I have a reel good chance of getting the job too. *shot*

So discuss jobs you have or want. Go go go!

I work with my family on our Hardware store. Needless to say, as long as I become the owner once my parents and uncles that are your business associates as well retire, I have a safe job for the rest of my life.

The thing is, though...

I don't like it. Especially dealing with clients. So I'm on the Uni doing stuff to become a programmer/computer fixer/everything.

My dad started a cleaning and maintenance business so every so often I'm helping him out with it.

In March I should have a pretty good chance at getting a job at this sandwich place. My dad knows the manager so we've been talking abourt getting me a job there for a while. Nice place with really good sandwiches. I might end up with a job at Copps though since it's really close to my dad's house and where the bus drops us off after school. But a lot depends on when I get my driver's license. Due to terrible scheduling I still don't have it.

This, although the GameStop closest to my home is moving, and I don't know where to. Working at a theater might also be nice.

I'm going to wait until June to look for a job. I plan to do things like going to a convention in May, and even if I did get a job before then, I don't want to risk not being in a position to ask for a weekend off.

As long as you have a passion for Xbox 360 and PS3 games, you'll do just fine at Gamestop, Roxas.

Trust me, I've asked plenty of Gamestop stores when they were hiring, all of them gave me that answer

Well, I don't have an Xbox, and I consider Sony a guilty pleasure, so I'm not sure about that. I have helped out some customers while at GameStop, so that I guess I can say I have some experience there.

It probably won't matter too greatly. As far as I know, most games that are out for the 360 are also available for the PS3

Lucky :c

All my friends will be getting summer jobs and I'll be left behind with my best friend because we both turn 16 after summer ends and you have to be that old to legally work. I guess we'll be babysitting to make money.

You can work at 14 in my state. :P

But I'm sorry to hear that. :/ At least your left behind with your bf and not all alone.

Pretty much work with my parents at the middle school. I'm gonna go for childcare this summer instead of Janitorial duties. So no real changes.

I thought you said you're still doing volunteer work, Cinder.

I personally would want some of that myself....

Volunteer work isn't exactly a job iirc.

Last summer, I worked full-time at my mother's workplace (an insurance company) as an assistant for $11/hr for 3 months.

I intend to apply this summer, too. Since I was rather well-liked there for doing my work and not slacking off, I'm most likely getting the position with no trouble.

And, if my calculations are correct, the money from that should clear out my entire anime/manga/game backlog, allow me to buy a Vita and a Wii U with some games for both, grab Unity Pro (which costs $1500), and still have over two thousand leftover for other stuff.

Maybe not, but it's something to put on the resume, which is why I still look for that as well

Im young, so obviously I don't have a job yet.
Though I have been warned that when I do job experience in a few years I should avoid fast food places at all cost.
Especially as they can actually turn you off eating said fast food because you know exactly what goes in them, which can be fairly disgusting.

If I got a job, I'd quite like to be something like a newspaper journalist, or perhaps an organizer at a store (meaning I would come early and organize everything for the day), which I would adore since it would lay my OCD to rest for most of the day.
:D

A friend of mine, who is 13, already has a job. She works with her aunt and mom who make safety signs like "Childrens Crossing" and "STOP"
And she'll get paid.

I need a job, but I'm not old enough. Apparently fifteen is too young. I was considering taking up a job at my local grocery store, but I'm really unsure if that's where I want to work... Mostly because I know people who've worked there, and their stories are kinda scary. ;-;

I could always work at a theater, a bowling alley, or Gamestop. Not sure which one I want to go for, though.
