everything on earth is getting freaky and all we do is say "everything on earth is getting freaky" ,, it is already disclosed that global warming CANNOT be stopped.. meaning if we want our civilizations to continue ,, we must leave earth,,, but the question is will that be possible?
why wouldn't it? It may be hard for us to imagine in our lifetime, doesn't meant it'll be just as hard generations later

yes but.. can we really afford huge ships? light speed travels (which is IMPOSSIBLE according to the law of physics) can we succeed in terraforming venus or mars? ,,, based on a study, 50 years from now,, only huge countries like america and china are above sea level because of the melting of the polar ice caps.. 50 years? will it be enough?

I thought global warming was disproved due to the frequent changing in our Earths climate. The change of an ice age to times like now. They decided it was climactic change.

But yes, I figure we move on to mars or the moon.

all right, well I heard mine well over 6 years ago so they probably changed it

with Mars you have a point in that

plus the fact because Mars is next to the asteroid belt, it gets hit by 10 times as many asteroid fragments as Earth does on a daily basis
the problem also with mars is that,, its a cold planet... while venus,, not much collisions but its very hot,, we need to bombard the planet with so mnny algae to reduce the heat... while with mars the solution for the coldness is that scientist are planning to make a green house effect. (simmilar to what is happening on earth) meaning mars would end up like earth in time (which would be faster because of the new technologies we might have)

i dont know but the problem is even if the moon is near to us, , living in the moon would be hard,, as its gravity is far to low compared to earth. .

I'm thinking the moon since it's closer, and we've landed there enough times as it is

ironsky? whos the main character in that film ragna?
I'm unsure since it's not a film made in the US.

Let's just say the theme of the story is along the lines of "In 1945 they went to the moon. In 2018, they return to conquer"

anyways you really think we haven't learned anything if in space?

The problem with the moon is that it is nowhere near large enough to hold a large sustainable population. Maybe a few spacial colonies, yes, but still. Plus, each colony would need to be fitted with either the things stronauts use, or a special gravitational device to keep gravity at a stedy pace that we dont need to be strapped to bed to avoid sleep floating.

Mars would be the next option of colonization, given that it is next closest to the sun and would therefore be closer in climate to Earth than a variety of other planets in our solar system. But, given its proximity to the asteroid belt, defenses would have to be installed to ensure our safety.

Personally, I'd choose Planet X as our new 'Earth' should we ever need to move. However, the long journey would require several thousand ships, several bajillion trillion billion million dollars and would take a few generations to reach.
:/

basically let's say we screwed up the planet and had to go live on the moon where pollution and all that crap is low

you really think we'll just repeat the mistake?

i personally think we will,, just look at what we use for every day life... it is slowly destroying the planet.
what's worst is that we find it very incontinent to live without them such as plastics...

but still there would be new technologies on the future.. so maybe,, things might go a little bit different ,,

what do you think??

about the gears ,, there are plans about terraforming.. so if it were to be succesfull only the gravity will be the problem...
and yes mars is really the best and more "realistic" as the day and night of mars is almost the same as earth's

i haven't heard about planet X? what is that?

I see us dependent on technology in the future obviously

but we all know the old saying, "Those who forget history are destined to repeat it" I think you know where this is going
im not sure.. ever watched the film wall-e?

that would be the worst future or evacuation site ever..
