Zowayix
I tried to alter Divine Serpent's effect to make it more balanced: Divine Serpent (Attribute Unknown, the Japanese Anime appears to show FIRE but it's very obscured) [Reptile/Effect] Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must be Special Summoned from your hand or Deck when an "Orichalcos Shunoros" you control is destroyed by a card effect while you have at least 20,000 Life Points, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this card is Special Summoned: Send all cards in your hand to the Graveyard and pay Life Points until you have 0 left. While this card is face-up on the field: You do not lose the Duel if your Life Points become 0. This card cannot attack unless you send the top 10 cards from your Deck to the Graveyard. ATK/Infinity DEF/Infinity I'm trying to keep its main gimmick but be balanced. Not horribly nerfed, not overpowered, but playable. Link to comment
101100111000
Wtf is this? At least 20,000 Life Points? Destroying Shunoros by card effect? >.> ...Torrential Tribute laughs at you. Any card that can destroy a monster without negating its Summoning will mean you basically OTK'ed yourself with this card. ...Mirror Force laughs at you. What good is Infinite ATK if Mirror Force can destroy this and make you lose the Duel? ...Man-Eater Bug & Hane-Hane laugh at you. Try attacking these two cards, and then tell me you didn't derp by doing it. You basically made a card (that assumably is SS'ed from your hand) that depends on the destruction of a Level 10 Machine (by card effect) that depends on the destruction of a Vanilla by battle. THEN, you went on to give it absolutely ZERO protection from card effects, and placed yourself in one of the WORST losing situations. I know, it has Infinite ATK/DEF. Big deal. Lemme just activate Bottomless Trap and then tell me paying all of your Life Points was worth it. And can someone explain to me how easy/difficult it is to reach 20k Life Points? Link to comment
Zowayix
Oops, I meant to put "SS'd from the hand or Deck". Fixed. Would you say that keeping its original effect (SS'd whenever Orichalcos Shunoros is destroyed and no other conditions, but no protection) makes it not overpowered? Link to comment

[/quote] Considering I could screw you over with a multitude of different Spells/Traps/Monster combinations, that makes it underpowered as hell. It's solely dependent on 1 event happening, and isn't protected, so it's such a liability its not even funny. Link to comment
Zowayix
I find it quite depressing that Yu-Gi-Oh has progressed to the point where a monster with Infinite ATK and no protection is considered "seriously underpowered". 3-card-Almost-OTK with anime effect of Divine Serpent but TCG effect of Shunoros: - Hand: Any Normal Monster, Shunoros - Your Field: Face-down Raigeki Break/Torrential Tribute/whatever Trap or Quick-Play Spell that destroys monsters - Opponent must control a monster stronger than your Normal Monster (hence "almost-OTK") - Normal Summon Normal Monster, ram into opponent's monster, SS Shunoros, activate Trap, summon Divine Serpent from Deck, attack, win. If something this slow is considered bad, I really don't know what to say. Link to comment

Birnam Wood Macdonwaldbain
Try adding this: The Special Summon of this card cannot be negated. When this card is Special Summoned: Cards and effects cannot be activated. Link to comment
