Master Hyperion
We all have a genre that we hate, because of a certain gameplay mechanics we can't stand. But sometimes, certain games show up that you somehow end up loving it, even its from a genre you hate. In your opinion, what games do you love about a genre that you hate? I hate RPGs in general, because there are parts in games where you need to grind to a specific level or specific ability just to get through a part of the game, which seriously interrupts the story and progress for me, which I cannot stand. Either that, or it just becomes too easy, or the enemy suddenlly pulls a super attack out of nowhere without a waring that instantly kills 3 or more of your charatcers. However, the exception for me is FF4 and Chrono Trigger, because most battles in these games actually require you to think before taking actions, because of certain patterns some of the enemies have and they can still kill you if you aren't carefull, even if you're overleveled. Naturally, since I play a lot of RPGs, I must say this is a tremendous exaggeration. -- BlazBlue is my exception to disliking fighting games due to complex controls, because I like its story and designs.
