.Rai
I must say, I would probably enjoy this band slightly better if it weren't for the horribly overused death metal vocals. Either stick to the poprock style vocals, get the balance right, or become an instrumental band. I'd love the third, but they don't seem to get the balance just right. But, that being said, they are AMAZING.

I don't mind Death-type vocals, but these do seem to be a bit generic. I would love a unique style to the Death vocals. I think they got the balance around the sweet spot, but it is pretty awesome. Not perfect, but the skill is up there. If I could, I would buy this album. I might be that particular song that's different. I haven't listened to them all, but that's my second so far. They sound amazing so far.

Poc
sounds more like djent than metalcore, but djent is not really a genre.
Tentacruel
It's like metalcore with guitar players who can actually play and death metal vocals. The vocalist is a little boring though, yeah. I like the high screams though.
Archbaron Larry
I will listen to metal now or later, but there's too much screaming vocals in this song for me to enjoy it.

Which does go hand-in-hand with your last sentence. Otherwise I might not like them as much. Not always, but some of the time they do.
Poc
Thats becasue djent is an otomotopea used to describe the tone of the guitars. This band has a very "djent" tone to its guitars.

Mr.Robot
There's loads of scene and mall metalcore band incorporating djent on the guitars instead of a boring generic "chugga-chugga" or "dun! dun-dun!" breakdown lately. Probably why this band didn't amaze me at the first few times I listen to their material.
