DARKPLANT RISING
Feel like a contest. 1. Make a Spirit Monster that support Spirits and makes them much better. 2. First to 3 votes wins. 3. Voters get 5 points each from me. 4. Winner gets 1 rep and 500 points from loser. =My Card= Cannot be Special Summoned. This card returns to its owner's hand during the End Phase of the turn that it is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up. When this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: Add 1 Spirit Monster in your deck to your hand (You cannot activate this effect if you Normal Summoned Yomotsuhirasaka during your last turn). =Dragon Sage Ω's Card= Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Must be Special Summoned by it's own effect. You can banish 2 Spirit Monsters in your Graveyard; Special Summon this card (from your hand or banished pile). Once per turn: You can pay 1000 Life Points; Normal Summon 1 Spirit Monster from your banished pile. (You must Tribute an appropriate number of monsters from your field or hand to Summon Level 5 or higher monsters). When this card leaves the field: You can banish this card; Add 1 Level 4 or lower Spirit Monster in your deck to your hand.

Organized Chaos
Hmm, Itzamna allows Spirits to be banished and playable yet it doesn't actually have the Spirit clause "This card returns to the hand during the End Phase it was Special Summoned" which doesn't technically make it a Spirit and it would be quite OP'ed if it was not for the level limit on the searching effect and the life point payage and tributing which does help balance it. Yomutsohirasaka is a Spirit, is a walking Pot of Duality for Spirits which also allows Izagnami plays, is DARK, Fiend, and is a bit more balanced than Itzamna yet I can't see the point in it. It's a searcher that's it. Unless I'm missing something. Beiden weg, my vote goes to Itzamna, Dragon Sage's card.
Dharc
Well, while it is a generally understood rule, Itzamna doesn't have the Spirit Clause anywhere in its effect (it never states it returns to the hand), so it is essentially just an Effect monster. Even if it were changed to include Spirit Clause, I still vote for Darkplant. EDIT: EFF, Ninja'ed.

.Rai
So, one hellish Japanese thing, and a Mayan deity. On concept, Darkplant wins. On pure simplicity, Dragon Sage. I'd only use the traditional Shinto theme in Spirit monsters if the name sounded good. Darkplant's card Well, the concept of abusing the "Return to hand" thing has been done for ages, and Yomotsuhirasaka is one of the many identical cards with the effect of adding a Spirit to the hand and using it again next turn by abusing its effect. Is it broken: well, probably not, considering how bad Spirits are in the current format. Anti-Meta Spirits, or Spirit Swap, would only use about somewhere like 3 Asura Priest plus some techs like Yaksha. Its use is obviously in Spiritnarchs, where you can add those larger more bulky Spirits. The point of where it becomes weird is that: 1. It can search itself. Stuff like Ultimate Offering wants to abuse this. Instant Rank 1, anybody (implying that Rank 1s are good /lol)? 2. It is a Level 1 and its DARK. Glow-Up makes it Formula, making those Level 2 Synchros with Treeborn and stuff easier. Making it DARK is pretty stupid too. 3. Essentially, it can search pseudo-Dark Holes and Harpie Feather Dusters. Hmm. I dunno, it certainly fits your contest criteria. Making them 'better' is subjective depending on whether you mean meta-worthy (no), good design (hell no), or better in general and boosting them (most definitely). Onto Dragon Sage's card. Let's just assume it has the Spirit clause. Let's assume it's semi-nomi since it's worded most closely to that. How to run it to full potential? You can't. It's a tech. Eww. It requires Spirits. In the Graveyard. eww. It actually says: "In the course of 2 turns, add 2 Spirits from your Graveyard to your hand." Why Graveyard? Because they were in your Graveyard when you used them to Special Summon this. I doubt you would have had any other Spirits in your Banished anyway. That's it. The last effect is decent, but totally irrelevant at the moment. Now, it's basically this: Except this says: "Over the course of infinite turns, add infinite amount of Spirits to your hand." And it can discard Treeborn Frog and Ronintoadin. And it's conveniently Fairy-Type for abuse. And it's more generic. It was a good idea and design, but just so bad. Zeal Ascendant
Darkplant's card seems more practical, more simple, and just better. My vote goes to him.
