Being the bad guy feels good

At work, we don't allow customers to bring in outside food and drinks (unless it's water or food related to allergies). We get a lot of hate from people who think telling us they'll never come to the theater again hurts our feelings when we have so many regulars already. After a few incidents, including a woman who went crazy when I told her see couldn't bring in her frozen salmon and made a big scene outside, I kind of like being the bad guy sometimes.

Ever like being the bad guy?

Tempted to play the bad guy in the shop I volunteer in, because parents keep bringing children with food in....worst when they drop it right after the manager has cleaned up.

Cinema food and cinema entry is so expensive lately. Here it's about £7 just for normal entry. (After 1pm), but we do have Discount of £3 on Tuesday with their Insider scheme and buy one get one free on Wednesday (Orange Wednesday). I don't mind buying to something though when I go because I don't really get to eat much popcorn and I like their popcorn.

It's always fun when you're allowed to.

Like a re-sale shop I used to volunteer at. There was some woman who couldn't pay $3 for a pair of shoes or something and was trying to get us to lower their price. She got frustrated and another guy decided to tell her "Don't worry, they sometimes forget they can afford to lower their prices".

I lul'd.

Ugh, I work at a Wendy's and people like to stay in the dining room after we close at 10, I tell people that we're about to close in 5 minutes, yet they decide to stay an extra hour when I'm supposed to leave at 11 after cleaning. Sure, I get to stay longer and get paid more, but it sucks when you just want to go home after a 10 hour day. You just want to tell the people to gtfo

Yes, depending on the situation. Sometimes you feel like a douche later on, other times you High-five yourself and feel like the world's greatest villain.
...we are now best friends. DON'T ARGUE OR I'LL FORCE YOU TO WORK AS A VENDOR FOR EVERY SHIFT FOR THE REST OF YOUR CAREER.

On a side note, theatre employees feel bad when customers get upset or when they understand that something is stupidly overpriced. STILL, if you bring in food, there's nothing we like better than 'confiscating' it... or eating it, as we like to call it. Still, we're not gonna catch every little thing.

SO I'M ONLY GONNA SAY THIS ONCE: You IDIOTS. Stop leaving your damn trash that you bring from outside of the theatre WITHIN said theatre. It's distasteful and arrogant, and it makes ushers want to punch someone. Mainly you. Which also means they'll be more diligent to check your bags and make sure you aren't sneaking sh*t in. Got that? Stop leaving a mess we didn't enable you to cause. That is all.

@Crouton: Respect.

I blame the white people for complaining that they have to buy the food in the theater.

that's just the inconsideration of the world these days. One of my friends has the same problem working at Taco Bell, he's considering recommending to the manager to see if there's a way to close the dining room an hour early just in case of this

People asking for discount on items that already have on the ticket marked....meaning it was priced with that in mind. Then the customer not taking it anyhow....I mean trying to reduce the price for something in a charity shop? That case I don't mind feeling like the bad guy.
Only time I feel bad about it, is giving Yellow cards at the school I volunteer at because it means the child who gets one misses their break. I asked one child once to get a Yellow card, but they refused so the teacher gave them a Red (Not quite sure the punishment that is), I felt bad. Luckily I didn't have to do anything for the rest of the lesson because it was Violin lesson.

I have the same problem, except I work at a brewery, so the people staying are usually drunk =__=
Not to mention I work the nights we close at 11, so there are a few cases where I go home at midnight.

Rag, closing the dining room early will never happen, the greedy corporate wants to make as much money as possible, and closing early will not make corporate happy. Also, with the comparison to Taco Bell and Wendy's dining rooms, I don't see closing TB early like that would help, all it is, is a table cleaning, sweeping and mopping, whereas at Wendy's, we have carpet and there's now work to do on it. Idk, it depends, but it would help to close an hour early nonetheless.

I don't go to the theaters.

At the library where I work some of our customers whine and complain about their library fines. I find it funny because the fines are like two to three dollars and yet they whine like it was two hundred dollars. They'll argue that the due date was longer but on our computers the due date will be correct. And our customers get pissed because they want to use the computers and can't because of the fine and instead of just paying two dollars they want to make a scene.

No, it's a matter of desperation.

For myself, when I do inventories and the store just makes a huge mess in the area I'm supposed to do it at, yet I'm still expected to do it at a certain rate regardless, and the people there keep messing the pile up

Not really, considering I get guilt stricken and that never really goes away until I redeem myself again.

However, I mean, I like getting the chance to be a b**** every so often when it comes down to people who really irritate me. Doesn't happen often since I'm a nice person, but sure, it does feel good to relieve yourself of anything mean you've wanted to do for a while.

Oh, how I love being the bad guy.

So, this one time I was playing soccer, just me and a bunch of [s]friends[/s]. This one kid, who is really irritating and doesn't seem to know his place, who mocks me behind my back sometimes, comes to challenge me for ball, saying "Hey blazer, what'cha gonna do, huh? Whatcha gonna do?" He was mimicking my voice, or attempting to. This is something that really, really irritates me. I charge him, going forward with the ball. He challenges, and I knock him on his ass out of sheer force from my foot connecting with his from a swipe. I'm not sure if that was completely legal, probably not. Kid fell down and scuffed up his face pretty good. Bit his lip. I ignored and proceeded to score a goal, as I still had ball control. That... that, YCM, was satisfying. I hate that kid, still. :D

Wait. that's revenge, not being the bad guy.
