Sniffy raised an eyebrow, with a smile on her face.

"I think I'll help ya out a bit, Snowfy~ Then you won't have to stay the entire night there~" she muttered to herself, then picked up the letter Snowfire had left, and ran into the place with the rooms.

"Honeypot's been kidnapped! Help!" she yelled, then saw the nearest room and dashed in. Inside, was Storm, soundly asleep. She ran toward him and shook him awake.

"Help, Honeypot's been kidnapped!"

"I don't need honey in my pot mommy..." he muttered. "I want a hay butter and wheat jelly sandwich for lunch..."

"Not honey in a pot! Honeypot!"

Storm sat up, drowzily, rubbing his eyes. "What, what is it Honeypot? Isn't it a bit too late?"

Sniffy grabbed Storm by the shoulders and shook him a bit, his head wobbling back and forth.

"Honeypot has been taken by Shadow Wing."

Sleep was finalled knocked out of Storm, and he stared at Sniffy.

"...Who are you? And why are you saying something so weird?"

"I'm Sniffy. I got here yesterday, and I'm a wandering foreigner. Now, listen. I'm not lying. They even left a letter!"

Storm read the letter, with some difficulty due to the lack of light. His eyes widened as he read it. He slowly lowered it,a growl on his face.

"No..."

"Calm down, I'm sure we can-"

"This guy...Snowfire...why would he...?"

"He wants a special mirror you guys have in your possession, I belie-"

His mind set, Storm jumped out of bed, and dashed out of the room, toward Morning's room, as fast as he could. Once he got inside, he slammed the door open.

"Where's the mirror?!" he asked, panting slightly.

Both Morning and Crescent had been talking inside of Morning's room at the time Storm barged in. Morning looked at Storm with surprise all over her face. Crescent simply looked annoyed, shooting Storm a cold glare. The mirror had been hung up on the wall behind them. "...What?" She asked at first. "The mirror is right here... Did something happen, Storm? I don't think I've ever seen you so... emotional, before." Morning asked. "So, what's up?"

Storm looked down, and stomed the ground half-heartedly with his hoof.

"They took Honeypot...they took her right from under us. Shadow Wing wants the mirror...and one of his underlings took a hostage to get it. So, we need the mirror! Please!"

Honeypot...don't worry, I won't abandon you. Even if I have to take you back myself, with or without the mirror, I'll do it. I won't lose you...I won't....

"I know...this is sudden. And you wanted the mirror...however, I won't let Honeypot be kidnapped. I won't let it end like this. Even if you don't give it to me...I will rush in there and save her myself, if I have to..."

This time, Crescent spoke first. "Someone is after the Mirror?" he asked quickly, surprise now covering his face. Morning and Crescent looked at each other, worriedly.
Crescent turned to Storm again. "Kidnapped... If that is the case, then there will most certainly be a rendezvous location, in order for us to make the exchange with the other party. That being so... " he stopped for a moment. Morning nodded, hesitantly. "...Very well. I will be the one to make this exchange. Now, do you have any idea where this rendezvous location will be?"

"It's in the letter they left..." Storm said, trying to calm down a bit, as he handed Cresc the letter. "But...I'm not just going to stay here. You can make the trade-off, but I'm coming with you. I swear, if they hurt Honeypot...I..."

He sighed. "This is so troublesome..."

With that, Storm turned around, and walked out of the room. Then, he looked back in. "Let's leave as soon as possible...I don't want to leave her with those bastards any longer than I have to..."

Crescent gave the letter a quick read-over. "Very well then. If you wish to accompany me... then I shall not object. However, I request that you keep your emotions at bay." Crescent nodded. He took the mirror from off the wall and held it up in front of him. He took his free hoof and struck it. The impact seemed to shake him slightly, but a small shard of the mirror broke off, leaving the rest unscathed. He then propped it onto his back. "It appears they wish to meet us a ways outside. It is fairly near the temple, we passed it on our journey here. A small forested area located around the temple." Crescent described the meeting location. He reached down and picked up the shard he had broken off, and handed it back to Morning. "Keep this with you. There are still truths that have yet to reveal themselves to us." He said to her, then glancing at Storm. "Now then, Storm... We leave immediately."

Blazer had thoroughly enjoyed her day, chatting with some of the monks, doing a bit of training occasionally.

As night fell, Blazer lied down after a lax day and began to dream. She began to talk in her sleep a bit. "Ooo Wonder, of course I'll share some roasted apples with you. "No no..." She let out a loud yawn. "...you take the big one." Out of nowhere, she someone yelling about Honeypot. "Huh, wha? Honeypot?!" She forgot completely about fixing herself up, left her bed, and dashed out through door. She rubbed her eyes and looked around for whoever yelled. "Hello there? What happened to Honeypot?" She said, very worried.

Storm nodded, already leaving the room. He trotted quickly toward the entrance, passing Blazer as he did so. With her question, he slowed his pace for a moment, and gazed to the side.

"Honeypot's been kidnapped, for a ransom... And we're going to get her back."

With that, he turned his focus straight forward, sharpening his gaze.

If they so much as scratch her...they'll...

Storm's wings twitched a bit, his eyes widenening for a split second. He stopped moving, his hoof on his head. After a few seconds, however, the feeling went away, and he shook his head, continuing his journey to the entrance of the temple. Soon, he reached there, and just waited for Crescent to catch up.

Blazer's eyes shrunk as Storm said this. "She's been kidnapped for ransom..? Who could ever have the heart to abduct someone as innocent as Honeypot?" She looked back to see Storm, his eyes full of determination, seemingly prepared to take on the world. "I don't know a lot about you two, but I've seen you and Honeypot together enough to know... you deeply care for her. Good luck Storm."

She watched as he started towards the entrance of the temple. "I hope those two will be okay.." Her eyes widened. "Oh no, I hope no one else got abducted!" She dashed around the bedroom area of the temple to try and find the others, hoping that they were all alright.

Crescent walked out of the temple, silently past Storm. He headed off towards the Rendezvous point, glancing back at Storm every so often.
After a short time, the two had reached the location that the kidnappers had specified. He pulled the Mirror off his back and held it up, putting it into plain view and ensuring that anyone nearby would be able to see it. "I have come with the Mirror you demanded, as noted in your letter." Crescent said aloud to anyone who might be listening. "I expect the safe return of an unharmed and unmarred mare of the name Honeypot. Once the mare in question is under my own protection, I will relinquish the Mirror." Crescent made his request. He remained motionless from that point on, awaiting the kidnapper's appearance.

Snowfire opened his eyes, having not fallen asleep yet, when he heard a voice out of nowhere, declaring that he was here for the tradeoff. "Already?" he muttered, and yawned, "It's still night time". Snowfire got up, roused the other five, and then Honeypot, "Looks like you're getting out of here sooner than we thought. Wasn't so bad, now was it?" he asked, a smug smile on his face. She didn't respond.

Snowfire led her, as well as Sigma and Delta, out into the open. Delta glanced at the blue stallion preparing to make the trade. "Yes, that is the mirror we're looking for" Delta confirmed.

Snowfire grinned, "That so? Sweet". Snowfire stepped forward with Honeypot, "Here she is. Take it from me, we didn't lay a hoof on her" he told Crescent, then let Honeypot move out.

Honeypot slowly made her way over to Storm and Crescent. "Th-thank you" she muttered, then nearly fell forward, placing all her weight on Storm's shoulder.

Crescent stepped up towards Snowfire and held the Mirror out. He looked at him with a sharp glare. "Your face... Is not one that I will soon forget." he said gruffly, loosening his grip and allowing the mirror to fall to the ground with a "thud". He stood there for another few silent moments, holding is glare. "..." Crescent turned around and walked back to Storm and Honeypot. "Come. We are done here. Let our return be as immediate as possible... She has seen enough tonight. She will need to rest." Crescent said, now moving past Storm and starting back to the temple.

Morning looked into the Mirror shard. Questions were whizzing through her head. "What could it mean, what could it mean? Someone else wants the Mirror, someone we don't know about... but who? It doesn't make any sense, we should be the only ones who know about it... Urgh, this is just confusing me more." Morning decided to let the questions be."...I need to clear my head..." she said to no one in particular, laying back on her bed.

Storm gasped as Honeypot fell on him. he held her up with relative ease, but was still surprised. Had she tripped? Then, something caught his eye. A trickle of blood fell down on the ground, next to Honeypot. He traced it back to her side, and saw a large gash. His mouth opened slightly, but no words came out. His eyes lost focus for a moment.

Blood...pain...you did this...why did mommy have to go...? Now you are here... you...

Storm looked up at Snowfire, his eyes still unfocused. His wings twitched slightly.

Crystal Rain...

Storm's beathing started to hasten a bit, and he glared at Snowfire. "You did this to Mommy...it's you! You're back...but I've grown, I..."

Just then, Storm's eyes regained focus, a bit, and he noticed Honeypot's gash again.

"And you hurt Honeypot...I won't forgive you!"

He He dug his hooves onto the ground, then, with a mighty flap of his wings, sending a small blast of wind in all directions, he dashed at Snowfire at an incredible speed, and struck his cheek with a quick jab using his right hoof.

"Storm... don't..." Honeypot muttered weakly.

The blow connected with Snowfire's cheek, but it didn't phase him. He instinctively delivered a blow straight to Storm's face, and sent him flying backwards. "Little bastard..." he muttered, "Look, we didn't hurt your girlfriend. She was struggling when we were carrying her, and she fell. She landed on some rocks, and that's that" Snowfire explained, slight annoyance creeping into his calm demeanor. Snowfire picked up the mirror, and placed it on his back. "I'd suggest that, instead of causing further injury to yourself by attack me, you go help your girlfriend with her wound instead" he said, then began flying away.

Honeypot slowly slumped over to Storm, "He's right" she said, "This gash... really REALLY hurts. Let's just go back... to the temp-" he said, then faltered, as she nearly fell forward on top of Storm, again, "The place"

Snowfire's strike sent Storm flying back, and he hit a giant rock. He grimaced, as his back took the full brunt of the rock. He lost conciousness for a second, and slumped down.

Am I...still this pathetic? But...why? I...I can't see.....blood...only blood...not mine...Mommy's. Why? Why are you doing this...? Where...am I? Dark...dark...please, let me out...please untie my wings...they hurt...

Suddenly, he felt Honeypot falling on him. His conciousness was brought back to him, and he looked at her, panting slightly. His eyes were wide, and sweat covered his forehead.

"H-Honeypot..." he muttered, then ran a hand through her mane. "Heh...sorry you had to see that...but, I'm fine now..."

He got up, shakily. "We should get back to the temple...if you want, I'll carry you."

Crescent sighed, glancing back at Storm. "Fool. Had the exchange not been done by the time you lost yourself and attacked, we may have lost Honeypot permanently. Did you not hear me when I told you to keep your emotions at bay...?" he said, twinges of annoyance laced his voice. "Bah, it matters not. For now, we must make our way back to the monastery. Now then, I will take us back." He said, placing a hoof down on both Honeypot and Storm. The marks that wreathed his body sparkled into life again, and the same flash of darkness consumed the group. Within seconds, they were whizzing through the familiar subspace, though it only lasted a few short moments. In a blink of an eye, another flash of darkness brought them into the temple's main hall.

Honeypot shook her head. "No, no... I'll be fi-" she began, before nearly tipping over again, "Actually, that might be a good idea"
This was interrupted by Crescent, who decided to just teleport them back to the temple. "Oh, thanks" she thanked him, wearily. "I'm... still not to sure that I can... make it very far on my own" she admitted, "Here, let me lean on you" she said, then began leaning against Storm for support. The action irritated her wound, and she winced, but the sharpened pain lessened after a moment.

Sigma flew up to Snowfire's side, "Uh, hey, captain? You catch what that green dude was saying about his mom?"

Snowfire frowned, "Yeah. Kinda odd, never seen the dude before in my life, don't know what he's talking about"

"Traumatic memories" Delta suggested. "Seeing the injury of the brown Pegasus could have triggered some traumatic memories he had been suppressing, so he sort of just related them to you, given the situation"

Snowfire nodded, "Right. I read about something like that once" Snowfire remembered.

"Say, what's with the mirror anyway?" Sigma suddenly asked.

"Not entirely sure. Some artifact from a thousand years ago. It's supposed to help Shadow Wing with something or other" Snowfire shrugged.

Storm blinked, as Honeypot leaned on him. He then lowered himself, and propped her up on his back, with some effort.

"You weight a ton, huh?" he said with a small smirk. "Nah, don't worry. You've been through a lot. Let's just get you to bed."

Storm struggled a bit, but finally carried Honeypot safely inside. "But first..." he muttered, noticing Blazer nearby, in the hall.

He snuck up behind her, and poked her. "Yo, mare, look who we got back," he said smirking. "Though, first things first...she has a bit of a...wound. Do you think there's anything here to at least clean it a bit and wrap it?

"Oh, you've got Honeypot back! This is-" She stopped as Storm talked about her wound. "Oh my... the wound looks awful.. I'll help you fix her up right away." She dashed off to her room and grabbed some medical gauze from her bag. Then she quickly dashed towards the wash room to grab a bucket full of water and some cloth. "I learned to take care of wounds at a young age, so I always keep some first-aid stuff in my bag."

She lied the bucket next to Honeypot and wetted the cloth. "This may sting a bit..." She dabbed the wet cloth around the wound to keep it disinfected. Then she wrapped the wound neatly in gauze. "Phew, there. She should be better after some rest." She grabbed Honeypot's side preparing to lift her up. "Could you help me get her into bed, Storm?" She made sure she didn't irritate the wound as she grabbed Honeypot's side.

Storm shook his head. "It's fine. I'll take her back myself. You should get some rest. I know I will, after this."

Storm carefully grabbed Honeypot in order to support her, and they trudged back to her room. He softly laid her down on the bed, and placed his own torse above the bed, his forelegs crossed to support his head.

"I think I'll watch over her...a bit..." he muttered, closing his eyes.

Before he knew it, Storm was asleep, softly breathing, his torse still laying on Honeypot's bed, his head near her stomach.

"Honeypot..." he muttered in his sleep, his hoof moving a bit, touching hers.

Blazer nodded. "Alright then, I know you'll take good care of her." She walked down the hall, turning her head to see Storm carrying her to bed. "I wonder if I'll be able to get back to sleep while I know she's injured like that. I guess I'm just a bit of a worry wart."

She let out a small gasp. "Speaking of worrying, I should check on Wonder!" She ran down the hall for a while until she reached Wonder's room. Blazer opened up the door to see Wonder sleeping peacefully in bed. "Oh, thank goodness he's alright.." She looked at him for just a couple more seconds. "Aww, he's so peaceful in his sleep."

"You realize you're watching him sleep, right?"

She shut the door as quickly as possible. "I!- No, I would never!- I was just!-" She said as she began to blush. "Wait, who said that..?"

"Dollface, you seem to be ever so slightly infatua-" Mid-sentence, Blazer cut the being off with a smack from her right hoof. "You have a lot of nerve stalking me and telling me how I feel!"

"I gotta say, I figured it'd be somepony more masculine, more assertive-" Her anger grew until she bucked the being out of the temple and sent it flying into the nearest mountain range.

"What a rude, cruel-" She closed her mouth. "Oh goodness, I should stop yelling so the others can get some sleep. Especially Honeypot." She walked back to her room, quiet as a mouse, and fell right back into bed.

Wonder stirred from his sleep, thinking he had heard something. He slowly sat up and looked around. He looked at his window, which was perfectly in place. It seemed as though nopony had broken into his room this time, so he let himself go back to sleep, convincing himself he was dreaming the loud noises.

As Honeypot slept, her dreams were plagued with the events of the night. How she was so easily kidnapped, and how the group had lost the mirror because of it. She realized just how powerless she was. She realized, even more than prior, how much Storm was right. She awoke from these Nightmares, sitting up quickly before realize that Storm was lying on top of her, himself asleep. She took a sharp breathe of air, hoping she hadn't woken him by accident, presently ignoring the fact that he had indeed fallen asleep on top of her.

She slowly slipped out of her bed, and positioned Storm comfortably on the bed, then made her way out of her room, and near the courtyard. She looked, and made sure nopony was nearby, then broke down, and began lightly sobbing into her forelegs.

Storm's eyes slowly opened. He sat up, and looked around. He then noticed he was in Honeypot's bed. But where was Honeypot?

He blinked, and shook his head a bit. "Honeypot..."

He got up and walked out the door, his hand on his head.

"That damned Snowfire...he sure didn't hold back...I think."

Storm then caught a trace of Honeypot, by a long blond strain of mane on the floor. "Huh...convenient."

He looked ahead, and followed the path, which eventually led him to Honeypot. As he approached her from behind, he heard small sobbing noises. He grabbed her shoulder and turned her around. His eyes widened a bit, as he saw hers filled with tears.

"H-Honeypot, I....what's going on?"

Honeypot took a sharp intake of breath when somepony turned her around. "O-oh, it's just you Storm" she muttered inbetween sobs. Her face was wet from tears, and her eyes were red and puffy from crying. "Well, you see Storm... it's just that..." she started, attempting to hold back her tears to form a coherent sentence. Tears started gushing again however, after a second. "Oh, Storm, you were right!" she said, hanging her head low. "I... I'm worthless. I just... I can't do anything!" she told him, her voice rising.

"And... and it's my fault that we lost that mirror, after how much trouble Morning had to go through to get it! She got stabbed for it, and we just lost it because of me! Because I couldn't do anything to protect myself!" she went on, her words still being mangled by her tears. "An- And that's just recent stuff! I'm still not good at anything useful, not to this group!" she continued, "And who could forget, I'm scared of lightning! I'm a pegasus, and I'm scared of lightning. What kind of poor excuse for a pegasus is afraid of lightning?!" she demanded.

"I don't know what I was thinking when I decided to follow these guys. You were right. I have NO place being here" she admitted, "I... maybe we SHOULD do what you said. We can run off, the two of us! Go live a normal life, where I wouldn't be... so useless..." she said, then after a moment, broke down crying again, and fell forward on to Storm.

Storm blinked, catching Honeypot as she fell. "Honeypot..."

Sigh...this is troublesome...

"Honeypot, listen...everyone is afraid of something. Your fear just happens to be lightning. You know what my fear is? Being all alone...that's why, my guitar was my companion...but even then, I was always lonely. I had no one. You're not useless, because, ever since I met you, you've become a great friend to me..."

He learned forward a bit, touching his forehead to hers.

"I want to live a normal life with you..." he said, then blushed a bit, realizing what he said, but continued anyway. "But...our companions need us. If we give up now, we really will be useless, but, I'm sure if we stick with them, you'll find your time to shine."

He took a deep breath, and closed his eyes.

"When this is all over..." he muttered. "Will you be my very special somepony?"
