Apostle of Calamity
Your argument is so sexist on both sides its hilarious. I have seen countless times where a women has done murderous things or has gone on a rampage, examples are MAR, Claymore, Mahou Sensei Negima, and I like the Magical Girl Genre if it isn't to goofy and can be serious sometimes. Everybody has something they just plain do not likead it is a part of nature. EDIT: I should take a look at that anime some time as it looks good. I would ask Tony to read it but if it is not a harem genre anime he usually doesn't like it mostly because Harem is like the only anime genre he loves with exception. John A. Zoidberg
Mako, you're basically saying "Women are less violent as men," which is completely gender-role-bullshit and is completely false anyway. Besides would you rather it have a random evil male character just appear out of nowhere with no importance and destroy everything rather than have an already known and perfectly capable character do it? Yasu
You're too naive, psychopathy knows no gender or age. Nevada-tan was 11 when she slashed her classmate's throat and arms with an utility knife. Mary Bell was 10 when she strangled a kid, mutilated his genitals and signed the corpse... oh, and she laughed in his funeral. It's anime, genocide is just another game, etc.
Tentacruel
To be honest the only thing wrong with the OP's post is the blatant double standard. Anyway, I have noticed anime fans tend to get off on wanton murder and destruction (Elfen Lied would be a good example) and justify such actions. Murder is bad. [/stating the obvious] @OP: Don't read sh**y manga.

CrabHelmet
I love it when people try to make a Very Serious Thread expressing their radical and controversial stance that Mass Murder Is Bad. Yeah, you're taking a really risky position there, champ, standing up to those lame-streamers who think mass murder is fine. Perhaps you might consider joining forces with such like-minded groups as the Anti-Kitten-Burning Coalition and the Child-Abuse-Is-Just-Tacky Society? Oh, and also you're a sexist moron. But this topic was stupid even before that.

Just Crouton
Now, I guess I should point out an example of an acceptable version. For me, whenever a MAN is responsible for a Mass Murder...well, I'm kind of ok with it. I think it's because for woman, I always expect them to be kind, or sometimes motherly, or at the very least NON-murdering people. However, I expect men to do this kind of thing (there, I'm being sexist to my own sex, it's even now).
Women not being this evil? Jean Grey, while possessed by the Phoenix Force and becoming the Dark Phoenix, destroyed entire planets and became wanted for genocide by the Shi'Ar (or whoever it was in the original comics. I watched the 90's cartoon version) of entire populations of planets until the X-Men intervened. Also, in some big Marvel Comics story I never read, the Scarlet Witch powered 90% of the mutant population, including her father Magneto and brother Quicksilver (which is kind of a stupid plot point by Marvel.)
Anyway, I have noticed anime fans tend to get off on wanton murder and destruction (Elfen Lied would be a good example) and justify such actions.
