Equip this card to a monster you control. During your 2nd Standby Phases after activation, this card is destroyed. Neither you or your opponent can Summon or activate card effects (excluding this card) as long as this card is face-up on the field. The equipped monster cannot be destroyed in battle. When the equipped monster battles with an opponent's monster, destroy that monster at the end of Damage Step and send 1 card in your hand to the Graveyard, then draw 1 card and reveal it. If it is the same type (Monster, Spell, or Trap) as the card you sent to the Graveyard, return the sent card to your hand. When this card is removed from the field, destroy the equipped monster. If this card was sent from the field to the Graveyard by its own effect, you can banish this card in your Graveyard to Special Summon the destroyed monster during either player's Main Phase. Bahamut - Envoy of the End Posted February 4, 2012 Report Share Posted February 4, 2012 Name was what drew me to topic; although lonely does kinda lend itself to one on its own rather than zero. Was about to say Swords of Revealing Light is superior in every way (spell, stops attacks for 3 turns, you can summon, etc). Until I saw the 'can't activate effects' bit. So, for two turns, for the ridiculously easy requirement of controlling no monsters, your opponent can't activate any cards. Period. Cannot do anything, except conduct their draw phase. People complain about Momentary Truce. This is momentary truce on crack. Link to comment
Blake Posted February 4, 2012 Report Share Posted February 4, 2012 Bad OTK-supporting design. You can still abuse things like Tour Guide or Sangan while this is on the field. Also, have you heard of the following: Chain Strike Exodia Final Countdown Assorted burn decks It's like that card in RC, Freeze Time, except much more sly about its brokenness, while having Gorz conditions >> Hell, it even beats Super Polymerization. I have no idea how to balance this, considering the fact that it is pure PLZOTKWITHME Also, should be a Continuous trap, because it doesn't equip to anything. Link to comment
