Music taste

Having the ability to play advanced music, and being experienced in songwriting is such a blessing when listening to music.

Tons of pop is actually pretty awesome, providing you carefully sift through it. Metal is a great shift of style for from time to time. Rock and punk are great fun. And electro, techno, house and trance music is really amazing too.

But I lurve the indie stuff.

I'm really, really into indie, so basically just singer/songwriters and people who can pick up a guitar or sit down at the piano and make music that really means something to them.

I also love strong voices, so Florence + The Machine is my favorite singer because she knows how to start a sing low and then continue to raise it up with her voice until the end where BAM you can really feel the music. Cosmic Love is a good example of that.

And I have like the same taste as this.

I pretty much enjoy the wide ranges of Black and Death Metal, and the occasional Viking/Folk.
I literally go from Trance Melodic Death, to Symphonic Black, to Technical/Brutal (or both) Death, then to Viking/Folk, then over to Progressive Death Metal (like Xerath), so on.

I also find it amusing that most, like 95%, of the music I like is European. [s]causei'meuropeandood[/s]

Genre-wise, the stuff I listen to most is post-hardcore, metalcore, pop-rock and country. Yeah, weird-ish combination.

But I'll listen to most things, and like it. Except for most rap, most pop and all dubstep. Also can't stand more than like 1 techno song a day.

A few of my fave bands/artists: A Day To Remember, Funeral for a Friend, Asking Alexandria, Avril Lavigne, Alexisonfire, Muse, Rise Against, Sleeping with Sirens and ofc my personal favourite being Taylor Swift.
Yay, more ignorant comments from you

I listen to a good variety I guess. I have a lot of metal: Technical Death Metal, Slam, SOME thrash, Metalcore and even some Power Metal. I don't listen to a lot of old school stuff really. I also have some Post-Hardcore, Pop-punk, Indie, Dubstep and some hip-hop like Jay-Z and Emenim...

Video Game Music is amazing. It offers a much more concentrated focus on emotion, and it just really is entertaining to listen to. Jazz and Rock (no lyrics please) are my other favorite things to listen to. The rest are off my list.

My favorite composers include Motoi Sakuraba, Koji Kondo, and Yuka Tsujiyoko.

I listen to a bunch of rap, my current favorites being Lupe Fiasco, Wax, and Macklemore (who should release more ;_; ).

John Coltrane and Grover Washington Jr. are a few favorites that come to mind too. Saxophones always put a smile on my face~

Ska is another favorite since it's full of things that interests me too.
