Disney Animated Films

The Amazing Avian

Recommended Posts

I recently watched a whole bunch of these and decided I would post a topic about them. I'm not talking about Pixar animation, I'm talking about the Disney animated musicals that most of us grew up with like Lion King, Tarzan, Hercules, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Hunchback of Notre Dame, etc. and the most recent of them, Princess and the Frog. So anyone else remember these and feel their eyes water a bit every time you see one of those classic scenes that brings back memories of your childhood and plan to raise your kids as you were? Where you actually got to have a childhood before delving into the realm of puberty to which every modern kid is exposed to now by the time they're in first grade.

Disney made sequels to many of their films, and The Lion King 2 wasn't that bad.

Those movies are called The Rescuers, and I think it was just as good.

I can not agree with this more.

Beauty and the Beast is still great and has one of my favorite villains of all time in it. In fact, I think the main reason I like the movie Tangled so much is because there's lots of small references to Beauty and the Beast. Whether they're intentional or not, they're still there. The Lion King was obviously fantastic. Same with Aladdin. And I really do hope that my kid watches them all. Boy or girl, I don't care, they'll be watching these movies as long as I'm alive.
